The corner flag fluttered gently as Giorgi Loria placed the ball inside the arc.

The home supporters rose once more.

His debut had earned him their curiosity.

His performance tonight was earning him their trust.

Inside the penalty area, blue and white shirts wrestled for position.

Kike Cadete pointed toward the near post before quietly drifting toward the penalty spot.

Vakhtang Salia occupied one center-back.

Aleksandre Kalandadze tangled with another.

Ricardo Silva stood on his goal line, shouting instructions.

“Mark your men!”

“Don’t lose the runners!”

The referee glanced around the crowded penalty area before signaling for the corner to be taken.

Giorgi took three quick steps.

His right foot wrapped around the ball.

The cross curled beautifully into the heart of the box.

Kike Cadete rose highest.

His forehead connected cleanly.

The header carried decent power…

But little placement.

Straight into Ricardo Silva’s chest.

The Batumi goalkeeper gathered comfortably before clutching the ball tightly against his body.

The crowd sighed.

“So close,” the commentator murmured.

“Excellent delivery.”

“Cadete simply couldn’t direct it away from the goalkeeper.”

Batumi quickly restarted play.

The game settled back into its familiar rhythm.

Except…

Something had changed.

Giorgi had found his place.

No longer was he cautiously adjusting to the pace of the match.

Now he demanded possession.

He drifted into pockets of space.

Dragged defenders away from their shape.

Dropped deeper when needed.

Burst forward without warning.

Every time the ball reached his feet, Batumi’s back line hesitated.

One defender stepped forward.

Another covered behind.

Their communication became frantic.

“He really is causing problems,” the co-commentator observed.

“He isn’t just fast.”

“His movement is difficult to read.”

Seventy-five minutes became eighty.

Eighty became eighty-five.

Dinamo continued pressing.

Again and again.

Giorgi slipped another clever pass toward Salia.

The veteran’s shot was blocked.

Minutes later, Giorgi danced past one midfielder before delivering a dangerous cross that narrowly escaped everyone inside the six-yard box.

The chances kept coming.

But…

The breakthrough never arrived.

Ricardo Silva remained outstanding.

Batumi’s defenders threw themselves into every block.

Every interception.

Every clearance.

Time was slipping away.

The stadium clock reached ninety minutes.

The fourth official raised the electronic board.

**+2**

Only two additional minutes.

The crowd urged their team forward with one final deafening roar.

Both sides knew this would likely be the final meaningful attack of the evening.

Unexpectedly…

It belonged to Batumi.

Mamuka Kobakhidze recovered possession near midfield before feeding Alef Santos.

One quick touch.

Another pass.

Then the ball reached the man Dinamo had struggled to contain all evening.

Vladimer Mamuchashvili.

The midfielder immediately turned.

Nikoloz Tsetskhladze closed him down.

Mamuchashvili skipped past him with a clever body feint.

Giorgi Gvasalia rushed across to help.

One drop of the shoulder.

Another touch.

He beat him too.

The crowd gasped.

“He has to be stopped!”

the commentator shouted.

It curved perfectly toward Jalen Blesa.

The striker rose above everyone.

Higher than Cadete.

Higher than Kalandadze.

His forehead smashed into the ball.

Makatsaria reacted instinctively.

Instead of trying to catch it…

He punched.

His right fist connected firmly.

The ball flew away from goal.

But not far enough.

Still alive.

Still dangerous.

Paata Ghudushauri charged onto the loose ball.

Without letting it bounce…

He unleashed a spectacular volley.

The strike thundered toward the bottom corner.

**CLANG!**

The post saved Dinamo.

The ball ricocheted straight back into the crowded six-yard area.

Chaos.

Players lunged from every direction.

Then—

Jean Victor appeared.

Almost from nowhere.

He swung his right foot.

Point-blank range.

Certain goal.

Makatsaria somehow threw himself across the goalmouth.

His gloves wrapped around the ball before the midfielder could celebrate.

Silence.

Then…

The home supporters erupted into thunderous applause.

“What a save!”

the commentator screamed.

“Makatsaria has kept Dinamo alive!”

“That could be one of the saves of the season!”

The goalkeeper didn’t waste a single second.

Still lying on the turf…

He looked upfield.

Blue shirts were already sprinting forward.

He sprang to his feet.

With one powerful overarm throw…

He launched the ball beyond the halfway line.

Counterattack.

Time slowed.

There were only seconds remaining.

This was the final chance.

Nika Ninua raced onto the throw first.

He drove forward at full speed.

One defender backed away.

Another sprinted across.

Ninua glanced left.

Giorgi.

He glanced right.

Vakhtang.

Both were making dangerous runs.

One pass would decide the match.

The stadium held its breath.

Ninua trusted the teenager.

He slid the ball left.

Perfectly weighted.

Giorgi met it in stride.

His first touch was immaculate.

The ball barely left his foot despite the speed he was carrying.

He accelerated toward the penalty area.

Batumi’s defenders scrambled desperately.

One center-back closed him from behind.

Another drifted across to block the shooting lane.

Ricardo Silva edged off his line.

The crowd rose as one.

“Shoot!”

someone yelled.

Giorgi didn’t.

Not immediately.

Instead…

He slowed.

Just enough.

The defender behind him gained ground rapidly.

Giorgi could hear the footsteps.

Closer.

Closer.

He drew back his right leg as though preparing to unleash another thunderbolt like the one against Iberia.

The defender committed completely.

Sliding challenge.

Studs first.

Everything.

Giorgi calmly nudged the ball half a step away.

The tackle sliced through nothing but grass.

The defender slid helplessly past him.

The crowd roared.

Now Giorgi lifted his head.

Vakhtang Salia was arriving at full speed on his right.

No hesitation.

A simple roll of the ball into his path.

Perfectly timed.

Perfectly weighted.

Salia never broke stride.

His right foot crashed through the ball.

The strike exploded toward goal.

Ricardo Silva reacted brilliantly yet again.

He stretched every muscle in his body.

His fingertips brushed the ball.

Enough to change its flight…

Not enough to stop it.

The shot slammed into the roof of the net.

Goal.

For one heartbeat…

The entire stadium froze.

Then—

Pandemonium.

“GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!”

the commentator bellowed.

“VAKHTANG SALIA!”

“BUT WHAT INCREDIBLE COMPOSURE FROM GIORGI LORIA!”

“HE SAT THE DEFENDER DOWN!”

“HE WAITED!”

“HE PICKED THE PERFECT MOMENT!”

“DINAMO TBILISI HAVE COMPLETED THE COMEBACK!”

The scoreboard changed.

**Dinamo Tbilisi 2–1 Dinamo Batumi**

The home supporters exploded with joy.

Salia sprinted toward the corner before immediately turning back.

He pointed straight at Giorgi.

“This one is yours!”

Before Giorgi could even respond…

His teammates buried him beneath a mountain of blue shirts.

Players from the bench sprinted onto the pitch.

Coaches abandoned the technical area.

Even Makatsaria ran the length of the field to join the celebration.

Someone ruffled Giorgi’s hair.

Another wrapped an arm around his neck.

Salia laughed as he hugged the teenager tightly.

“You’ve done it again!”

Giorgi couldn’t even answer.

He was laughing too hard.

Somewhere in the stands, Charlotte Loria stood with tears streaming down her cheeks.

She clapped until her hands hurt.

Her son had changed another match.

Not with a spectacular goal this time…

But with patience.

Vision.

And selflessness.

Eventually, the referee restored order.

The players reluctantly returned to their positions.

Batumi stood around the center circle in stunned silence.

They had come within inches of taking the lead.

Now they were behind.

The whistle blew.

Kickoff.

Batumi managed one pass.

Then another.

A third player received the ball.

Before they could even think about launching one last attack—

**TWEEET!**

Full time.

The stadium erupted once more.

Dinamo Tbilisi’s players threw their fists into the air.

Supporters sang from every corner of the ground.

A hard-fought victory.

Three priceless points.

And once again, at the center of everything good that Dinamo Tbilisi had produced after coming on, stood a sixteen-year-old wearing the number **55**.

For the second match in a row, Giorgi Loria had stepped off the bench…

And changed the game.
