The communal kitchen of the Saint Jude Convent was usually a place of quiet contemplation, a sanctuary where the sisters prepared the daily bread with humble hearts. Today, however, it felt to Sister Isabella like a high-intensity combat zone.

Having barely survived her morning restroom emergency, Isabella stood before the massive iron stove, aggressively wielding a wooden spatula like a broadsword. Her face was flushed from the heat of the fire—or at least, that was the excuse she was prepared to give if anyone asked.

Isabella flinched, nearly dropping her spatula as two young novices bounced into the kitchen, their faces bright with youth and entirely too much early-morning energy. Sister Clare and Sister Mary were an inseparable duo, both eighteen and recently arrived at the convent to begin their probationary year. They were sweet, terribly naive, and possessed a total lack of situational awareness that made them an absolute hazard to Isabella’s fragile composure.

"Good morning, sisters," Isabella managed to say, her voice tightly controlled as she kept her back to them. She focused entirely on the large, sizzling cast-iron skillet in front of her. "I am just finishing the breakfast preparations. How would you like your eggs this morning?"

Clare smiled widely, leaning over the counter. "Oh, I’d love mine scrambled, Sister Isabella!"

"Me too!" Mary chimed in, stepping up right beside her friend and nodding enthusiastically. "Can you scramble my eggs too, Sister Isabella? Just smash them up real good and stir them around until they're nice and hot. Nobody does it quite like you."

Isabella’s grip on the wooden spatula tightened so hard the knuckles of her right hand turned white. Smash them up real good. Nice and hot. Her traitorous brain immediately took the completely innocent culinary request and reverse-engineered it into a vivid, highly graphic mental image of what she’d actually like to do with the two adorable novices.

"Scrambled," Isabella repeated, her voice dropping an octave as she began to viciously beat the eggs in a nearby bowl with a wire whisk. "Right. I can... certainly handle that for you. Consider your eggs thoroughly scrambled."

"Wonderful! Thank you!" Clare said cheerfully, completely oblivious to the fact that Isabella was sweating bullets. "Oh, look, Mary, the pantry delivery arrived! Let’s help put the meat away."

Isabella let out a slow, trembling breath, trying to steady her racing heart. Just food. It’s just breakfast. Focus on the liturgy, Isabella. Think about fasting. Think about—

"Oh, wow! Look at the size of this thing!"

Mary’s loud, amazed gasp shattered Isabella’s fleeting moment of zen. Isabella slowly turned her head around, her eyes widening in horror as she looked over at the pantry table.

Sister Mary was standing there, holding up a massive, exceptionally thick, premium Kransky sausage that had just been delivered from the local butcher. It was a rustic, heavily spiced specimen, glistening slightly in the morning light, and it was easily the size of a grown man's forearm.

"Goodness, it’s huge," Clare murmured, leaning in close to inspect it. She tilted her head, her pure, innocent eyes wide with wonder. "Do you think it’ll even fit? I mean, look at the girth of it, Mary. I don't know if I can take a whole bite of that without choking."

"We'll just have to open wide," Mary replied earnestly, turning the massive sausage over in her hands. "Though, if you hold it firmly at the base like this, you can probably slide a good portion of it in if you're careful. What do you think, Sister Isabella? Have you ever had to handle a sausage this big before?"

Isabella’s brain completely blue-screened. The skillet behind her began to hiss aggressively, but she couldn't move. She stared at the two teenagers, who were completely, wholesomely discussing the logistics of portioning out a breakfast meat, while her own demonic succubus curse flared to absolute red-alert beneath her robes. The heavy pressure she had just relieved twenty minutes ago was already surging back with a vengeance.

"Give me that!" Isabella suddenly shrieked, breaking out of her paralysis.

She lunged across the kitchen, physically snatching the giant Kransky out of Mary’s hands with terrifying speed. The two novices jumped back, startled by the senior nun’s sudden, feral intensity.

"S-Sister Isabella?" Clare stammered, clutching her rosary.

"This... this meat is far too rich for young novices!" Isabella gasped out, holding the massive sausage tightly against her chest like a shield. Her breath was ragged, her face a deep scarlet. "The devil lurks in the excess of spiced meats! It promotes... gluttony! And... fleshly desires! I will confiscate this for... advanced theological inspection!"

"Oh. Okay," Mary blinked, looking entirely disappointed but thoroughly cowed by Isabella’s intense religious fervor. "We're sorry, Sister Isabella. We just wanted to help."

"Just... sit down and eat your scrambled eggs!" Isabella commanded, her voice trembling as she frantically turned back to the stove, shoved the giant Kransky into a dark cupboard out of sight, and began plating the food with manic, shaky movements.

By the afternoon, the guilt of her breakfast meltdown—and the persistent, throbbing ache of her unholy curse—had become too heavy to bear. Desperate to purge the wicked thoughts from her mind, Isabella slipped into the dark, quiet sanctuary of the chapel and stepped into the wooden confessional booth.

She knelt in the cramped, shadowy space, letting out a shaky breath as the wooden screen slid open. The silhouette of Father Thomas appeared behind the lattice.

"Bless me, Father, for I have sinned," Isabella whispered, her hands trembling against her lap. "It has been... far too short a time since my last confession."

"Ah, Sister Isabella," Father Thomas’s warm, jovial voice echoed softly through the screen. "A comfort to hear your voice. What burdens your pious soul today, my child?"

Isabella swallowed hard, her face burning in the darkness. She couldn't tell him the truth. She couldn't say, 'Father, I have a demonic curse that gives me a giant member and an insatiable desire to defile your novices.' She had to speak in metaphors.

"Father... I have been struggling fiercely with the flesh," Isabella confessed, her voice tight with suppressed panic. "Lately, the urges have been... relentless. Every morning, every afternoon... I find myself forced to go into complete isolation just to handle it. I’ve been... beating and pummeling myself relentlessly, Father. Just aggressively working my hands to exhaustion, over and over, trying to subdue the rising pressure before it completely takes over."

On the other side of the screen, Father Thomas’s eyes widened in profound, holy awe. He nodded sagely, completely misinterpreting her frantic description of solo relief as a display of extreme, old-school spiritual discipline.

"My goodness, Isabella... such intense mortification of the flesh!" Father Thomas breathed, deeply moved. "To beat and pummel yourself so violently for the sake of purity... your dedication to fighting the devil is truly extraordinary. But you must be careful, child! To handle such a rigid, heavy discipline entirely on your own... it is too much for one soul to bear."

"Oh, believe me, Father, it is extremely rigid," Isabella whined softly, resting her forehead against the screen. "And it just keeps bouncing back, no matter how hard I work it. I'm at my wits' end."

"Say no more, Sister. The church will support you in your hour of heavy labor," Father Thomas said with profound pastoral authority. "Go in peace, my child. I shall pray on this and find a solution to help ease your manual burdens."

"Thank you, Father," Isabella sighed, feeling a tiny weight lift from her chest. Surely, he would assign her some peaceful, solitary meditation time.

Later that evening, after the final prayers had concluded, Father Thomas stood in the courtyard, watching Sister Clare and Sister Mary carry fresh linens across the stone path.

"Novices! A word, if you please," Father Thomas called out, beckoning them over with a warm, secretive smile.

The two girls jogged over, bowing their heads respectfully. "Yes, Father Thomas?"

"I have a matter of grave spiritual importance for you both," the priest said, lowering his voice into a confidential whisper. "I have just come from the confessional with Sister Isabella. The poor woman is undergoing a grueling, deeply exhausting spiritual trial. She is working herself to the bone, day and night, handling an incredibly heavy, rigid burden all by herself."

Clare gasps softly, clutching her chest. "Oh no! Is she alright?"

"She is a saint, but she is at her limit," Father Thomas nodded solemnly. "She spoke of pummeling herself to absolute exhaustion just to keep the pressure down. It breaks my heart. That is why, secretly, I am changing your living arrangements. Starting tonight, you two are being reassigned directly to Sister Isabella’s dormitory."

Mary blinked, her ears perking up. "Her dorm, Father?"

"Precisely. I want you both to shadow her, get close to her, and make yourselves completely available," Father Thomas instructed, completely beaming with pride at his own administrative genius. "The moment you see that pressure building, the moment she looks burdened, you dive right in. Do not let her carry that rigid load alone for even a second. Your job, girls, is to make sure Sister Isabella gets thoroughly, repeatedly relieved."

Clare and Mary exchanged a bright, enthusiastic look, their young hearts swelling with a sudden, eager sense of duty.

"We won't let you down, Father!" Clare promised, a wide, innocent smile spreading across her face. "We'll stay right by her side and handle her burden whenever she needs it!"

"Excellent," Father Thomas beamed, waving them off. "Go pack your bags, sisters. Go help her lift that load!"

As the two novices hurried off toward the dorms, completely thrilled by their new assignment, the trap was officially set. And back in her quiet room, entirely oblivious to the incoming storm, Isabella was just sitting down on her cot, hoping for a peaceful night's rest.
