Damon didn't know what to make of the new quest. Conquer Belmont City? And in six months? How was he to do this? Besides, his original plan was to just make use of Belmont City to grow strong and then get his revenge, no one said anything about playing Genghis Khan the Conqueror. He stared at the glass window, he could see the filths of the city below him.. why should he conquer filthy backwater city which had no place in the grand scheme of things this world had to offer.

Sigh! "In the end, I have to do it, else I may not even get to live to complete my vengeance." He muttered, then his brows knitted together "Damn you Revenant!" He cursed at the system.

Drumming his fingers on his mahogany table, he called for Zane. He knew he couldn't afford to be reckless, if the remaining gangs in Belmont City banded together against him, he'd be wiped out even with the help of the system, he wasn't strong enough yet to defy the rules of engagement.

"Boss, you called for me." Zane spoke as soon as he walked into the office.

"Zane, you know me better than everyone else here.. if I said I want to conquer all of Belmont in less than six months, do you think I will succeed?" Damon asked. Enjoying the story? Read on at novelping.com.

It took Zane a full minute to grasp the gravity of Damon's question. Conquer an entire city? And not just an ordinary city, but one that even an infant owns a guns and isn't afraid to use it.. for a moment, Zane thought Damon must have hurt his head somewhere.

Seeing that Zane couldn't answer his question, Damon didn't flare up or become angry, in fact, he knew how ridiculous it was to even think of doing so.. if it was so easy, then why hadn't other city superpowers done it.

"Call in Cortez." Damon said and gestured for him to leave. Zane bowed a bit and walked out.

Sigh! "Just as I thought.. it's impossible at this time.. and yet I'm supposed to do it in less than six months."

Few minutes later, a knock was heard on his office door, and then Cortez walked in. He took a seat in front of Damon.

"Cortez, you've lived in Belmont all your life, you know it's rules and rulers.. if I said I want to conquer all of Belmont in less than six months, do you think I will succeed?" Damon asked.

"As your subordinate, I will place my belief in you and say you can, but as a Belmont citizen, there's absolutely zero percent of you completely conquer Belmont." Cortez replied with a serious expression.

"And why do you say so?" Damon asked as he leaned forward.

"Belmont City isn't just a city full of gangsters, it serves as a playground for real powerful men out there. For example, the Fletcher gang is a behemoth, they are backed by a mysterious powerhouse.. now if that powerhouse becomes bored and wants to play chess with another powerhouse, each will choose a gang from Belmont City, and then initiate a territorial fight.. whichever gang wins, the powerhouse backing it automatically wins the chess game." Cortez said. "The districts you've taken are not under any of these powerhouses, but the moment you go after the entire Belmont City, they will come for you, as they will see you as a threat to their little chessboard." Cortez clarified.

"Damn! This just went from Mission Impossible to Mission Friggin Suicide." Damon said in exasperation. "Okay, I'll need to think more on this." Damon said.. he was about to tell Cortez to leave but a knock on his door interrupted him. Zane walked in, a serious expression on his face.

"Boss, we have someone who wants to see you. He said he's an envoy of the Dragon's Head Mafia group." Zane said..

"What?" Damon said in a low calm tone. Zane and Cortez suddenly felt chills run down their spine.. they felt like they were standing in front of Death itself, and not just that, they could feel the gravity rise in an unprecedented level, it felt like a mountain was pressing down on their shoulders. «Ding!

Absolute Domain successfully activated.»

Damon snapped back to reality.. he didn't know he had unknowingly activated his absolute domain skill due to his anger. He immediately withdrew it. Only then could Cortez and Zane breathe freely, but that fear never left their heart.. they had felt death brush their skins, and during those few seconds that felt like hours, they had seen countless ways they could be killed.

Damon stood up and stared right at Zane, "Lead the way." Damon said.

"Yes Boss." Zane said, and turned around, Damon and Cortez followed behind him.

As soon as Damon entered into the waiting room, he saw a young man dressed in a blue suit, sitting on the couch with his legs crossed, like he owned the place. Damon instantly recognized him.. of course he will, why won't he.. before the bullet pierced his head that night, he had stared at all of them right in the eye, and carved their faces into his memory.

"You kept me waiting, you shouldn't have? Don't tell me you were busy in your little office." The man said in a condescending manner.

"Hello Vladimir." Damon said. He knew who this man was.. he knew him well.. of course Vladimir didn't know him as the only time he met him was when the day he raped and killed his wife and daughter.

"So you do know me, good, this makes it all the more easier. The leader of the Dragon's Head group has invited you to be our vassal. It is an honor for a nobody like you." His words were laced with pride and disrespect.

"Tell me something, Vladimir, what do you think Carlos will do when I send you his head?" Damon asked casually. This caught Vladimir off guard.

Vladimir felt that the man in front of him wasn't as simple as he seemed, at first when the man called his name, he thought it was because of his fame, but now the man mentioned name of the new leader of the Dragon's Head, no one, except the Elders and close aides are authorized to know the real identity of the Dragon's Head leader.. that was the rule set by the previous lord, Damon Mateo.. so how did this man know?

"Who are you?" Vladimir asked and stood up, but this time, a bit apprehensive.
