The rain of bullets from the machine gun was still destroying the pillar behind Jason, and Jason waited for just three more seconds before the unmistakable sign of an empty magazine echoed through the room! Jason swung out from behind the pillar and aimed for the man’s neck!

Bang!

A single bullet was all it took to drop the man, and Jason finally released a sigh as he counted the dead bodies and decided that he was done. Jason walked closer to the last man he shot and he saw that the man was still alive. The man was looking at Jason with wide, terrified eyes while trying desperately to stop the blood gushing from his neck! As the man stared up at Jason, a sense of recognition suddenly seemed to come over him as his eyes widened in shock! No wonder his men weren’t able to do anything against this man! What was someone like this doing here? Why would they send a lion to take out some rabbits!? If it had been anyone else, then they would have at last stood a chance! The man hadn’t recognized Jason before because he had only seen Jason in pictures, but there was no mistaking it! This was the man feared across the entire city as the deadliest killer!Full novel: A Revenant's Wrath — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"The Grim... Reaper..."

These were the man’s final words, and Jason showed no reaction as he aimed his gun at the man’s head and unleashed a bullet!

Bang!

Jason turned away and began walking deeper into the house while looking around at all the rooms in the building for anything of value, and he stopped when he reached a dark room that had some drugs on a wide table. Jason walked in and eyed the drugs closely. There was a single lamp shining down on the table, and it allowed Jason to see that they had been packaging the drugs for sale. The drug was a sort of crystallized powder and Jason narrowed his eyes as he recognized it. Jason took a bit of the powder and put it in his mouth before spitting it to the side like trash.

"Friddos. It’s been watered down and recrystallized. Who the fuck made this shit?"

Jason frowned in irritation at the drug. It was something that had hit the street only a few months ago. No one knew who was responsible for creating the drug or where it came from, but all three families in New Haven City were currently working to try and monopolize the product. Not only was it one of the most highly acclaimed drugs on the market, but it was also medically safe, so it didn’t have the negative effects that most other addictive drugs possessed. Any family that managed to find out who was responsible for making Friddos would have a much higher chance of claiming more territory than the other two families and becoming the next Kingpin family of the city. But this drug here wasn’t the original Friddos. It was second-grade bullshit.

Jason turned around and began to walk out of the house. He knew that none of these fools would know who was responsible for making Friddos. They had only gotten a small amount of the original drug somehow, and they watered it down and recrystallized it to sell to fools who didn’t know the difference. It was a foolish attempt at becoming big-time gang members at best. Jason brought out a cloth and began cleaning his gun while walking out of the house, but he stopped when he saw one of the men that he had shot in the stomach stumbling out of the building! The man was still able to run relatively fast, so he got out of the door and was about to run down the street and go free!

"Argh!! Wait! Wait!!"

Bang!

A gunshot rang out through the street, and Jason reholstered his gun and walked out of the building. Alissa had raised her maid’s outfit up above her knee to expose milky white legs held tight by her long black stockings, and she was in the process of reholstering her Colt 1911 pistol. She held the arm of the man who had run out of the building in a painful grip, and once she let go of his arm, he fell to the ground at her feet and began bleeding across the floor. Alissa rearranged her maid’s outfit and put her hands in front of her respectfully before speaking. Get faster updates on novelping(.)com.

"I apologise for the mess, master; a rat almost got away. I’m glad to see you are unharmed."

Jason hummed as he began walking back to their car for them to leave. There was no chance that these people would ever be able to harm him. This was way below his skill level, and Alissa knew that more than anyone, so she didn’t even need to worry. Alissa opened the car for Jason to enter, but before Jason could get in, Alissa spoke up again.

"Your suit is dirty, master. We’ll have to return to the penthouse so you can change out of it before your meeting."

Jason scoffed! Of course, Alissa would notice that single blood stain on his trousers. Why in the world did he think she wouldn’t? Jason got into the car and leaned back calmly while speaking to Alissa.

"Send three cleaners to dispose of the bodies by tomorrow. But before then, tell the regional boss to open up the street again so people can pass through and take pictures. The boss wants to send a message, so we need to make sure enough people know about this."

"Of course, master."

Alissa answered respectfully and she started the car and drove off. Her phone suddenly rang and she put one of her AirPods in and answered quickly. Jason turned to the side to watch the scene passing beside him. It had been a week since he had his conversation with Anthony by the lakeside, and a part of him still felt like there were a lot of things he needed to say to the boss. Anthony was like a tired veteran of a never-ending war, and Jason could tell that he needed some peace in the last years of his life.

’Maybe I should send the boss on a holiday. I can find him a beautiful woman and send them both to the Maldives for the summer. It doesn’t matter how tired a man is, he’ll instantly feel better with a beautiful woman beside him.’

Jason then turns to Alissa who's driving. “Do you think the Boss will like fair skinned women, or dark skinned women.”

At first, Alissa didn't know how to answer this question, it wasn't her place to do so.. but after a moment of thought, she said, “The Boss meets fair skinned women almost all the time.. all the women in the board of directors are fair skinned, even his wife is fair skinned. Don't you think the Boss will like a change in that aspect? Why get him something he sees almost everyday, it will bore him before a day even passes.”

Jason grinned and scratched the back of his head, he couldn't believe he overlooked that.

Ring!

“I have already completed the task, Sir.” Jason said.

“I know my son, I'm actually calling you for something else. I need you to go over to Belmont City.” George said over the phone.

“Is there any problem, Sir? Belmont is kilometers away from New Haven, and..” Jason was about to say more but he was cut off by George.

“I know you're worried about me son, but there's a problem that's even more worrisome. There's a man staying in Belmont that has refused to stay dead, and his very existence threatens to destroy what we've built here in New Haven.” George paused for a moment, “Your mission is simply, find and eliminate Damon Mateo, and destroy the Revenant gang in Belmont City.”

“I will bring you his head, Sir.” Jason replied with fervor. He then turned to Alissa, “Turn around and head for the airport.. we're going to Belmont.”

[BELMONT CITY. FLETCHERS DISTRICT].

“Yes, I know about the Grim Reaper, are you thinking of replacing me with him?” A man dressed in all red said while holding a glass of red wine. The Bloodreaper had been in the Fletchers district territory for a while now, they've been monitoring the activities of Damon, but so far Damon still haven't left the protection of his territory. Just now, he received a call from Carlos, asking if he knew of the Grim Reaper. Who doesn't? The man who kills without mercy. It is said he doesn't fear death for he is death.. Jason Blackwood.

“I'm not replacing you, dimwit, I'm telling you that the Blackwood has sent their dog after Damon. They seek to eliminate Damon and take control of the Revenant's group.” Carlos hollered over the phone. Bloodreaper stood up in shock. He was just beginning to realize how big the operation has become. He mustn't let the Jason get to Damon before him.

“I'll call you back.” Bloodreaper said in gloom tone and disconnected the call. He turned to Fletcher who's sitting in front of him.

“Mobilize your men. We're making a move against the Revenant tonight.” He paused as he just thought of something, “Also get as many men as you can muster and head to the airport.. kill anyone with the name, Jason Blackwood.” Even though he knew Fletcher and his men may not be able to kill Jason, at least they'll slow him down for the operation tonight against Damon to go through.

“Let's go feel the thrill..”
