As Mylo Zane felt the gust of wind blowing away his tears, the vanishing floors creating a never-before-seen scenery, and inevitable death drawing closer, his brain forced him to relive his waste of a life.
The expectations of his parents that he couldn't even come close to;
the multiple lies that he had told them;
the life full of an unhealthy diet, procrastination, and addiction to porn;
the first day of college that turned into his worst nightmare;
the wonderful college days of ridicule that followed;
the mental torment he received for unfair things;
the constant humiliations by his peers;
the rantings of teachers as they blew their stress on him;
the hellish days of struggling to live even after all of this;
the multiple beatings he received after getting framed for drug supply;
the problems his parents faced because of him;
the day his mom was taken away from him;
the sleepless nights full of nightmares that followed;
the dead-wishing realisation that he would never be able to escape anything...
But none of them were the reason for him falling down the building—after all, he was too much of a coward to do that.
If I had the courage to do that... maybe I would have lived a far different life.
The only salvation in his life was the one humane connection he had formed, but alas, he failed to prevent even that.
Perhaps he had never been blessed with the chance to live a good life.
But this wasn't just a lack of blessings; this was a clear case of being cursed.
"Why did you give me such an unfair life?" With tears in his eyes, Mylo appealed to the presence that humans pray to.
Sure, I had slacked off more than others.
Sure, I didn't work as hard as others.
Sure, I may have looked at girls the wrong way.
But... isn't this too much? His falling body
turned as he looked up towards heaven.
I never hurt anyone.
I never wished bad upon anyone.
I..... why did you have to give me such a cursed life? His eyes refused to show him anything else.
If I hadn't been born, things... Mom would still be alive... Father wouldn't have hated me so much... they wouldn't have to suffer because of me... My... friend... wouldn't have to sacrifice herself just now...
Ah... it sounds so good, a world without me...
... Just... just.. why... why can't I be allowed in this world... just why... why... why, you despicable piece of shit of a god!!!!
His last moments were filled with nothing but absolute hate towards the god that had given him such unfair treatment.
"We share quite the same feeling for that bastard, heh." A deep voice echoed in his mind!
"H-huh?!" His eyes shot open. He was instantly forced to strain his vision as a completely unimaginable scene played out in front of him. No, he was the one flying past it all.
A burning building; a burning city; crying people in it; burning people; exploding mountains; flowing volcanoes; crying people swimming in magma; a crimson ocean; people tearing their own skin off...
He could not form a single thought as he struggled mid-air, still forced to fly deeper into the abyss.
Finally, after passing through a few similar domains, he crashed towards a burning castle.
It was as tall as the highest mountain, as wide as human imagination, as grand as Mylo's deepest fear, and as hot as a supernova burning in the vast deep space.
The flames of this burning castle of nightmares seemed to consume tens of suns every single second.
Mylo crashed inside the castle. His body, completely unaffected by the heat, struggled on the ground.
His head rose a little as he caught a blurred vision of a figure sitting right in front of him.
His heart screamed a frantic warning, as though looking any longer would cause him to burst.
In the grand hall, numerous stone chairs were arranged spaciously on either side, decorated with armaments that pulsed with a living energy.
A grand staircase led up to the throne, lined by a carpet that felt woven from the very fabric of human suffering.
On that throne sat an existence feared by the entire cosmos. Light failed to pass him, sound ceased to exist near him; his will was the sole law here.
His eyes darted down towards Mylo.
Mylo trembled even more, struggling beneath the crossed legs of this law-defying being.
His half-raised head, losing all control, fell on top of the entity's boot.
Mylo's lips made contact with the leather, as though he was kissing the absolute owner of his existence.
The being, who defied any further human description, gave a slight, almost non-existent smile.
Mylo's heart stopped beating at this point, as there was no longer any need to.
Every part of his body had already served its purpose.
Mylo's consciousness was the only exception.
I'm sorry, it's a mista—
Before he could finish, his body was thrown back out of the ever-burning castle.
He continued his violent journey before crashing into a pool of liquid with a big splash, it seemed like he was smashed up but he didn't seem to suffer any physical damage. Mentally though,
''..Haff..haah.. when will this all end? Someone..help...just..just...What haff... is going on he-ah?!'' in the middle of his outburst he realized that he could speak again.
Yes! He had forgotten he could speak! He could yell, cry for help, beg for mercy!
Tears instinctively started flowing, as if finally the dam was allowed to open its gates.
It had just felt momentary relief, when he started to notice the place he was in.
His sense of touch made it clear to him that he was in a very water-flooded area. His body was half-buried in thick clay-like soil. His vision was covered in a red hue, as though the crimson light was the only light in existence.
No matter where he looked, he could only see the red water, although he couldn't really see that far to begin with.
He tried moving his hands and legs, trying to stand up and gather his mind and body. But the unusually thick water made it even more difficult, adding the only dark red, barely luminous glow, and it was almost impossible to move without him using all his strength.
I was definitely falling to my death, just what in the hell happened that.... I have actually just entered hell? ..Really? After all that I'm still sent to hell? Is this really just my life?
He started thinking while struggling to move forward.
Well.. it's not like I'm alive...Dammit! Dammit it all!
What now? Am i gonna get tortured or something?
He tried to make his way out, but there were a lot of hard objects that were making it hard to move for him.
''Just what are all these thin-waah! Ah!'' he tried to check them but what he saw sent him in complete state of panic.
''gya!..wh!..what the hell!! Haya!'' the more he kicked up and struggled to get away , the more jagged shapes he collided with.
Some were small, some were very big,still intact. Some were squishy, soaked in the red lake water. Some felt soft, giving the feeling of top quality meat.
No matter how much he tried to break himself free,the water would just paint him more with the crimson.
His fright was understandable though.
The head which couldn't be identified, the hand which couldn't be controlled, the feet with nothing to carry, the brain lacking any part to control, the ribcage with nothing inside to protect and the internal organs forming the crimson slurry.
The situation needed no further explanation.
Just then mylo's movements came to a sudden halt.
