The shotgun blasts hurled the werewolf through the hole in the wall, its fate uncertain.
Shotguns were devastating at close range, their demolition power was no joke.
Wood, metal, or flesh, few things survived that kind of punishment intact.
Alexander’s eyes were cold, radiating focused killing intent.
He reloaded quickly and stepped through the shattered wall.
At that distance, four direct hits should have been fatal.
Still, he had learned to be thorough.
He wouldn’t rest easy until the creature was confirmed dead and Sacrificed.
Outside, the bloodied werewolf lay motionless on the ground.
Alexander approached cautiously, but his pupils suddenly contracted.
This one was different.
The steel balls were embedded deep in its flesh, causing severe injury, but not the catastrophic damage he had seen on the previous werewolves.
No massive penetrating wounds.
Its body was already beginning to knit itself back together.
Swish!
The creature’s eyes snapped open.
Its form twisted and expanded rapidly, healing at an astonishing rate.
Alexander hissed through his teeth.
“This is no ordinary werewolf.”
Without hesitation, he raised the shotgun and fired two more blasts directly into the creature’s head.
Then he switched to his revolver, emptying all six rounds into its eye sockets.
The werewolf howled in agony as it completed its transformation.
All traces of its previous shape vanished, replaced by a towering gray wolf over three meters long.
Its right eye bled heavily, half its face shattered by the shotgun blast.
The remaining eye glared with pure, savage fury.
It was badly wounded but the injuries only seemed to drive it into a deeper frenzy.
“This is going to be troublesome,” Alexander muttered.
Even a point-blank shotgun barrage to the face hadn’t finished it.
He made a mental note.
‘Get grenades when I return.’
The crazed giant wolf lunged with terrifying speed, claws and fangs cutting through the air like a storm.
Alexander flipped backward to dodge.
Behind him, a thick tree that would take two men to encircle was shredded by a single swipe.
Strength, speed, explosiveness, defense, and regeneration this beast’s attributes were off the charts.
Its wounds were already closing again.
Alexander clenched his teeth, eyes fierce.
“You’re not the only werewolf here, big guy.”
“Awooo!”
The powerful howl echoed through the forest like a king’s declaration.
The entire woods fell silent.
Boom!
The giant wolf was thrown back by the impact, crashing through several large trees.
From the swirling dust emerged a nearly three-meter-tall werewolf form.
Alexander’s muscular body looked forged from iron, covered in tough black fur that gleamed like steel needles.
His beastly crimson eyes burned with controlled power.
Sharp fangs and claws completed the terrifying image.
While retaining a mostly upright, powerful humanoid shape, he radiated raw, primal wildness.
He pulled the silver cross necklace from his Personal Space and wrapped it around his right fist.
Sizzle!
The contact burned against his skin like a brand, but Alexander ignored the discomfort.
His unique werewolf bloodline made him far more resistant to silver than ordinary beasts.
The holy power in the cross caused only mild irritation.
For a normal werewolf, however, it would be devastating.
His gaze locked onto the frenzied giant wolf ahead, which had fully given in to its bestial rage.
