If it were peacetime, the villagers might have feared Alexander’s overwhelming power but to these people living under the constant shadow of werewolf attacks, he appeared as a savior who could deliver them from their nightmare.
“Please, come in!” The militia leader snapped out of his daze and quickly ordered his men to clear the barricade.
They watched Alexander with a mix of caution and hope.
Finally, the leader couldn’t hold back.
“Are you the legendary demon hunter, Constantine?”
Alexander paused briefly but didn’t correct him.
He knew nothing about this world yet; having a ready-made reputation could work in his favor.
The militiamen exchanged excited glances, taking his silence as confirmation.
“It’s really him… the demon hunter Constantine!”
“Burn those beast!”
“Where are the werewolves!”
“Kill these damned werewolves!”
Just then, a noisy commotion came from the street.
A noisy crowd of villagers armed with torches and pitchforks rushed over, only to find the outsider standing calmly among the militia.
The village chief stepped forward, his expression serious.
“Didn’t the alarm sound? Where’s the werewolf?”
“It appeared, Village Chief,” the militia leader said excitedly, “but Mr. Constantine already killed it.”
“Constantine?”
“Is this the legendary demon hunter, Constantine?”
The chief’s face showed clear doubt, but as the militiamen recounted how easily Alexander had dispatched the beast, the villagers’ skepticism slowly turned to fervent belief.
In a place where werewolves brought constant terror and death, any hope was desperately welcomed.
“Mr. Constantine, you must save our village!” the villagers pleaded.
“We’ll offer everything we have.”
Surrounded by the enthusiastic crowd, Alexander nodded politely while noting the village chief’s noticeably colder expression.
‘Interesting.
It looks like there are many secrets in this village.’
Under their eager guidance, he was taken to the best inn in the village.
“Mr. Constantine, it’s late. Please rest here tonight,” the middle-aged innkeeper said warmly.
“We’ll discuss dealing with the werewolves tomorrow. This is our finest room, and I’ll have food brought up shortly.”
“I don’t have any local currency,” Alexander admitted.
The innkeeper waved it off.
“You killed the werewolf. You’re our benefactor. Everything is free as long as you help us with the beasts outside.”
As Alexander settled in, the innkeeper gave him a knowing smile.
“You must be tired after your journey. Please enjoy yourself tonight.”
Alexander raised an eyebrow at the suggestive tone but said nothing.
Not long after, a knock sounded at the door.
“Mr. Constantine, may we come in?”
She wore a deep red dress with a plunging neckline that generously revealed her full breasts.
She set the tray down but didn’t leave.
Instead, she approached with a seductive sway, her golden hair catching the lamplight.
“Please enjoy your dinner,” she said with a charming smile.
The night unfolded in heated passion.
Alexander pulled her close, his strong hands exploring her soft curves as their bodies pressed together.
Clothes slipped away, and the room filled with breathless sighs and the rhythmic creak of the bed.
She was eager and responsive, moaning softly as he took control, their encounter intense and lingering for hours.
When the room finally quieted, the blonde woman stirred to leave, only to hear Alexander’s low voice behind her.
“Don’t rush. It’s just getting started.”
The innkeeper, passing by outside, glanced through the crack in the door and shook his head with a wry smile.
“Young people… how wonderful.”
The next morning, as Alexander came downstairs after washing up, the innkeeper greeted him with a shocked yet impressed expression.
The “earthquake” that had shaken the entire second floor for half the night had left quite an impression.
“Mr. Demon Hunter,” the innkeeper said with a knowing grin, “I hope yesterday’s hospitality was to your satisfaction.”
Alexander offered a small smile.
The man no longer doubted his identity as a powerful demon hunter.
