Arriving where the energy was coming from, Jiang Yun saw an elderly man who was still quite imposing, living up to his title as a fiery dragon.
Jiang Yun didn’t directly kill this elderly man nor destroy his sect yet; since he had taken the trouble to come to the immortal realm, he might as well enjoy his time here. There was no need to rush things. Although Jiang Yun did not like hearing young masters explaining who they were and threatening him with their sect, slapping the elders behind them in the face was quite an enjoyable experience.
The Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor, upon seeing Jiang Yun so calmly enter his sect and appear in front of him, wondered who this audacious young man was. Who would willingly appear in front of an Immortal Emperor and intrude upon their sect? Curious, the elderly man asked, "Who are you, and why did you appear in front of me?"
Jiang Yun said calmly, "Aren’t you looking for your sword? I’m here to kill you since you want to take it back."
The Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor, upon hearing this, was immediately enraged. How could someone say they could kill him so easily? He had been at the pinnacle of the immortal world for hundreds of thousands of years since he became an Immortal Emperor, and now someone had been so audacious. This prompted the Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor to immediately try to kill Jiang Yun.
Different from his expectations, the attack was blocked easily. Jiang Yun was amused by the Fiery Dragon Emperor's reaction, as seeing someone shocked like this was the enjoyable part of "face-slapping."
Having gotten the reaction he wanted, Jiang Yun decided to stop wasting time and launched his own attack, carrying enough force to instantly kill the Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor but slow enough so that he could see, but not react to, the strike.
To the Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor’s horror, he couldn’t dodge the attack, which was filled with enough power to cause him chills; all he could do was stand there wondering who this person was. After that thought, the Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor ceased to exist, dying so meaninglessly.
Having finished that, Jiang Yun flew up high into the sky and launched another attack, aiming to completely destroy this sect belonging to the Fiery Dragon Immortal Emperor. A moment later, all that could be seen was a crater in the ground as far as the eye could see. The area was devoid of everything, going so deep you couldn’t see the bottom.
Feeling satisfied from his trip, Jiang Yun then tore space again and went back to the mortal realm. Soon, Jiang Yun returned to the Invincible Cloud sect.
Upon returning, he went to the main hall to find his mother seated with other members of the sect surrounding her, asking questions.
"Are you really Jiang Yun’s mother?" Tang Mei asked.
"What was Jiang Yun like as a baby?" Nangong Yu also asked.
Zhuang Min replied to all their questions calmly, as she was surprised her son knew so many women. The group then saw Jiang Yun coming into view; feeling embarrassed, the group scattered, as they didn’t know how Jiang Yun would react to them prying into his secrets.
Jiang Yun, not minding, sat down next to his mother, who was still seated, wanting to have a talk with her son.
Jiang Yun started by asking, "What happened that caused you to go into debt and cause everything to happen?"
Zhuang Min replied, "Back then, the local forces were trying to expand their influence and, in the process, tried to buy our family business. Your father not agreeing was then pressured by that local force to sell his business. This caused the business to lose customers and, in the end, trying to stay afloat, your father took on loans. Of course, this didn’t help, and then the business was taken as collateral, but that wasn’t enough to pay off the debts, so we could only run away. As for the rest, you already heard before."
Jiang Yun then asked, "Where did this take place? If the local force is still active, maybe I could take revenge."
Zhuang Min, not thinking much of this as she thought Jiang Yun just wanted to visit his birthplace, decided to tell him the exact location.
After telling Jiang Yun the exact location, it was now Zhuang Min’s turn to ask questions. She then asked, "What have you been doing all these years? You seem to be doing quite well for yourself."
Jiang Yun then gave a brief overview of what had happened since he was abandoned. He started from how the monastery was attacked by bandits, how he joined a sect but got hunted down, to how he found an opportunity and ascended to immortality, and then ended with just telling her how he is now invincible. He didn’t go into detail as his mother, who was a mortal all her life, wouldn’t understand. Instead, Jiang Yun told her no matter who came, they would be unable to cause trouble to him.
Zhuang Min was amazed at Jiang Yun’s story but could only sigh, as her son had gone through such a life of hardship after they separated, but there was nothing she could do about it. She then replied, "Don’t worry anymore, son. Now that your mother is here, I will take care of you now."
Jiang Yun, feeling awkward at having such a young mother who was even much younger than him, could only say, "I understand, mom, but don’t worry about anything and just stay here from now on. Just make yourself comfortable, and if you need anything, just tell me. Anything is within my reach now."
Zhuang Min, not wanting to rely on her son, said, "I don’t need anything; being with you now is enough."
Jiang Yun then turned away awkwardly, saying, "I’ll go now to see the place you told me about. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon."
Zhuang Min replied, "Then have a safe trip and be home early. You have never tried my cooking. What’s a mother if they never cooked for their children?"
Jiang Yun, who doesn’t need to be fed, was still intrigued at the thought of eating food from his mother, but then turned his attention away, preparing to leave. He then gave a reply, "Well then, I’m going now."
Jiang Yun then disappeared.
He then reappeared at the location that was described. It was a town with a few tens of thousands of people. There were no cultivators in this place, which was expected from a mortal city.
Jiang Yun then entered the town, asking if there were any local forces to look out for.
Many people then told Jiang Yun about the Axe Gang, which, to Jiang Yun’s surprise, was the exact local force that his mother told him about.
The Axe Gang apparently started with a few dozen people but now grew to the size of almost a thousand. They have dominated this town for the past few hundred years, robbing people and forcibly taking important land. They have become very wealthy and live luxuriously in this town.
Hearing this, Jiang Yun decided to pay them a visit. Though it was kind of embarrassing for a Dao Unification realm to fight a couple of mortals, he had a grudge against them, and that was all the reason Jiang Yun needed.
Arriving, Jiang Yun saw a very magnificent area of buildings. This area was surrounded by broken houses that made the place look even more luxurious. This goes to show just how many valuables they have taken over the years from the surrounding areas.
Jiang Yun then walked in, ignoring anyone who yelled at him to stop. Seeing Jiang Yun wasn’t stopping, they then started to attack.
Jiang Yun, of course, easily fought back; with a thought, everyone who attacked him was directly killed. Those around who didn’t attack were frightened and tried to run away but were also killed by Jiang Yun.
This was bullying the weak, and Jiang Yun felt quite an interesting feeling of enjoyment. Killing his way through, Jiang Yun finally arrived at the center of the Axe Gang territory. Entering the main hall, Jiang Yun saw a burly man who seemed to be the leader of the Axe Gang, who immediately said, "Who is this excellency who has come to visit our humble abode? Why is a mighty being such as yourself concerning yourself with us ants?"
Hearing this, Jiang Yun replied, "Hundreds of years ago, your Axe Gang killed my parents, causing my family to fall apart. I am here today to turn things right and eliminate you, too."
The Axe Gang leader, afraid, could only say, "That was hundreds of years ago; it has nothing to do with the current Axe Gang. Could you please let us go?"
Jiang Yun then replied, "Aren’t you people still doing the same things as hundreds of years ago? Look at how luxurious your territory is and then look around. Obviously, you people aren’t exactly righteous people. I might as well do good for the common people and eliminate you."
Before the Axe Gang leader could react, Jiang Yun killed him.
After killing everyone from the Axe Gang, Jiang Yun decided to leave the territory intact. There were many valuables, and though Jiang Yun didn’t need them, the locals who live here might still need them.
Jiang Yun then flew into the sky and shouted, "I have eliminated the Axe Gang! All those who have been wronged can come and claim back what is theirs. I have left everything at the Axe Gang territory and you can claim them now. Try not to repeat the same mistake and let another Axe Gang appear again."
After finishing, Jiang Yun left. As for where he’s going, Jiang Yun decided to visit the monastery he was dropped off at. Though it has been a long time, he still wondered what the place he was raised in has become now.
Arriving, Jiang Yun saw a broken temple, nobody in sight. Getting closer, Jiang Yun felt nostalgic at the place he spent so many years at. Though the place has basically turned to rubble, it was still the temple he was raised in.
Entering what was left of the building, Jiang Yun was surprised to find a woman was also there.
This woman had brown hair and looked quite pretty. She was wearing sect clothes, though Jiang Yun wasn’t sure what sect it was, as he wasn’t all too familiar with sects in the lower realm. Though, Jiang Yun assumed the sect was quite powerful as the woman was a Tribulation Transformation realm powerhouse.
The brown-haired woman, turning her face towards Jiang Yun, was also surprised that someone had come to a place so remote. Then, after a moment of silence, a look of shock spread across her face.
The woman then said in shock, "Is it little Jiang Yun?"
Jiang Yun was puzzled. How come there is another woman that knows him? He has been meeting a lot of women these days. This made Jiang Yun wonder if he was popular with women. Putting that thought aside, he wondered who this woman was.
Jiang Yun then stepped closer and started to ask the woman, "Who are you, and why do you know me?"
