Jiang Yun started his alchemy again by throwing high-level herbs into the cauldron. The amount of herbs in Jiang Yun’s ring was so abundant and of such a high level because of the age of the herbs that it was nearly impossible to run out. Whatever herb he needed for alchemy could easily be supplied, so he wasn’t afraid of failure.
After a while, another successful pill was made; this time, it was a pill for the Soul Formation realm. This pill was actually useful, as the lowest-level cultivator of the sect was already approaching the Soul Formation realm, and the Nascent Soul pill from before was relatively useless.
This made Jiang Yun decide to no longer make pills below the Soul Formation realm. Continuing on with his alchemy, Jiang Yun felt adventurous and wanted to try making an immortal-realm pill on his third attempt.
Jiang Yun threw in immortal herbs, controlled the fire, and tried to do the same thing. To his dismay, the pill failed, burning and turning to ash. He was upset but realized he lacked a pill-making foundation and should work his way up. This increased difficulty could be solved with practice, and his lack of knowledge of alchemy did not help in making an immortal-realm pill.
After that, Jiang Yun started working his way up, starting by making several batches of Soul Formation pills. After getting comfortable, he started making Void Solidification pills and kept continuing this pattern.
Once reaching the Mahayana-level pills, Jiang Yun’s success rate plummeted, and he couldn’t understand why. So, he went back and meditated, searching for the answer using the rules of the world to help him understand his shortcomings.
After a long period of meditation, Jiang Yun went back to alchemy. This time, he understood his errors and produced several batches of Mahayana pills without any problems.
Finally came the immortal-realm pill he had failed earlier. This time, with many insights from constant pill making, Jiang Yun understood just how crude his previous pill-making technique was. So, this time with more elegance, he tried his luck again at making an immortal-realm pill.
The pill, this time after much effort, finally formed and smelled amazing, like a summer breeze, and looked beautiful with multiple-colored patterns on it.
This made Jiang Yun very happy, as he had done what not many could do: make an immortal-realm pill. This marked him as an Immortal Alchemist—a title that could hold honor wherever he went in the immortal realm. Though the title didn’t mean much to Jiang Yun due to his current power.
Jiang Yun finally stopped making alchemy for the day, as it was a time-consuming process and he didn’t want to do something so tedious for a while. He then relaxed, enjoying his peaceful life as he waited for the Dark Abyss sect to arrive and let off some stress from the constant pill making.
A few days had passed, and the Dark Abyss sect leader had received no news back from the group who went to the Invincible Cloud sect. This could only make the sect leader reach one conclusion: they are dead, and the Invincible Cloud sect indeed had some kind of powerhouse. They might have found some secret from the sect, like stealing from the secret realm, and were silenced.
This clue, though it sacrificed sect members, made the Dark Abyss sect leader feel joy, as they finally found a clue as to where the secret realm treasures were. The sect leader then commanded the rest of the Dark Abyss sect to prepare, as they will soon be going to the Invincible Cloud sect to find treasures.
This confidence stemmed from his understanding that even if there is a powerful force that helped them steal the treasure, there is no way for them to stay in the mortal realm. Some power must have used a lot of resources to help the Invincible Cloud sect to steal the treasures in the secret realm. This means the current Invincible Cloud sect shouldn’t be able to do it again in the short term.
So now is the best time to invade while they were still weak. As the treasures were worthless to immortals in the upper realm, the treasures should still be in the Invincible Cloud sect, and taking them back means plenty of resources for the Dark Abyss sect. In the future, the Dark Abyss sect would become the sole overlord of all regions, as there is enough treasure from taking the entire secret realm to cultivate hundreds and even thousands of Mahayana realms and even dozens of Half-Immortals.
This kind of force could wipe out the entire lower realm and allow them to dominate for the far future. They would have to fear no one and could do as they pleased in the lower realm without anyone objecting. This kind of power was amazing and made the Dark Abyss sect leader want to go to the Invincible Cloud sect faster to get the treasures.
Arriving at the Invincible Cloud sect after some time, the group from the Dark Abyss sect were high from anticipation. This would mark the day of their rise to glory.
After the entire force of the Dark Abyss sect that had come to the Eastern Region had arrived and been accounted for, the sect leader led the charge into the Invincible Cloud sect.
The group quickly entered the Invincible Cloud sect and soon met Jiang Yun, which made the group want to capture him to ask questions. Suddenly, everyone from the Dark Abyss sect was frozen in midair. Fireballs shot out in a wide area that killed everyone except a few remaining in the front.
The sect leader, seeing this, knew his guess was wrong and a powerful being still remained in the Invincible Cloud sect. Much stronger than the group here currently, the Dark Abyss sect leader could do nothing but watch his sect get slaughtered.
With the few remaining people who didn’t get killed, they were having a cold sweat, wondering who the person who was attacking them was.
Jiang Yun, after dealing with most of the Dark Abyss sect, finally asked, "Is this your entire sect or are there more of you?"
The group remained silent, as if they answered that their entire sect still remained at the sect territory, it would be destroyed. If that was the case, the Dark Abyss sect would truly end today.
Jiang Yun, seeing that they wouldn’t answer, said, "From your response, I should assume there are more of you. Then I guess I’ll take a detour and go to your sect to destroy you people completely."
Hearing this, the remaining Dark Abyss sect people could only squeeze out the words, “Don’t do it.”
Then, not being able to finish their sentence, Jiang Yun threw another fireball, turning them to ash.
Jiang Yun then left the sect again and appeared above the Dark Abyss sect, sending a giant hand of qi down on the Dark Abyss sect, leaving nothing behind and destroying everything in sight.
After seeing that the sect was flattened to nothing, Jiang Yun was satisfied. He had vented all his stress from this and could go back to his alchemy with peace of mind.
Coming back to the sect, Jiang Yun prepared again to now go from a Loose Immortal pill alchemist to becoming an Earth Immortal pill alchemist.
As the days went by, soon word spread throughout the regions that the Dark Abyss sect had been flattened to nothing.
This kind of power surprised everyone, and another meeting was convened to address the current disaster. With this kind of power roaming around, everyone didn’t want this unknown danger just being free.
So the previous participants of the meeting once again gathered to discuss the situation.
The leader, like the previous meeting, was in charge of leading discussions and said, "Now that the results are out, it appears it is true that the thief is in the Eastern Region. Do we all agree to invade the Eastern Region to find who destroyed the Dark Abyss sect and regain the treasures?"
Everyone present agreed, as they thought the treasures needed to be returned and that such a powerful force in the Eastern Region could not be allowed to remain.
If nothing is done now, in the future, maybe one of their sects would be destroyed. It was best to address the situation now and gather together to deal with this lingering threat, now that all the major powers had agreed to deal with this force. This force was unbelievably powerful, and nothing in the lower realm should be able to match this kind of power. Whatever is causing this mess could only wait to die.
After all was said, the sects who went to the meeting all went back to their sects to gather their forces to invade the Eastern Region. Their goal was to prevent future trouble from rising and gain the treasure that was lost. In this way, the future of their respective sects wouldn’t decline and would continue to grow.
After all the forces finished organizing their forces, they departed, all heading to the Eastern Region, preparing to find and eliminate the unknown force who caused this mess.
