Those three simple words turned Su Liya into a discarded wife of a wealthy family.
For three years, she had devoted herself to Xu Tianchen, only to have her heart pierced with pain in return.
Today happened to be their third wedding anniversary. Su Liya had happily come to find Xu Tianchen, hoping to go on a date with him. The moment she entered his office, her eyes fell upon an expensive jewelry necklace lying on his desk.

Noticing Su Liya’s gaze fixed on the necklace, Xu Tianchen closed the exquisite jewelry box.
“Anna is back. This is a gift for her.”
His words sounded like a warning, telling her not to entertain any wishful thinking.

Su Liya lowered her head. Her thick, black-framed glasses concealed the bitterness and loneliness in her eyes.

Seeing that she still remained silent, Xu Tianchen frowned and said coldly, “I’ll give you three days to think it over. My patience is limited, so don’t keep me waiting too long…”
“No need. I’ll sign it.”
Su Liya picked up the pen and immediately signed her full name on the divorce agreement, without the slightest hesitation or reluctance.
The two went to the Civil Affairs Bureau, where they quickly completed their divorce and obtained their divorce certificates.
Su Liya stared at the words Divorce Certificate, finding them particularly jarring. Her heart ached, yet at the same time, she felt a sense of relief.
At last, she no longer had to remain trapped in a marriage, hoping that one day she might warm Xu Tianchen’s heart.
She also no longer had to torment herself by repeatedly swinging between hope and despair.
A slow, lingering death was the most painful kind. Better to endure a brief pain than prolonged suffering. Now, their relationship had finally come to a complete end.
Xu Tianchen’s phone rang, interrupting Su Liya’s thoughts.
He answered the call, his face immediately filled with anxiety.
“What? Anna has been admitted to the hospital? I’m coming right away!”
After hanging up, Xu Tianchen got into his car and drove away without even sparing her a glance, let alone offering her a ride home.
Whenever something happened to Li Anna, Xu Tianchen would become frantic with worry. His beloved first love was the only person in his heart and mind.
After Xu Tianchen left, a black-and-red Bugatti suddenly pulled up in front of Su Liya.
Her best friend, Lin Jenny, stepped out in a striking all-black outfit, looking cool and confident. She greeted Su Liya with a smile.
“Congratulations, Your Majesty, on finally escaping your misery!”
Lin Jenny tossed the car keys to Su Liya and raised an eyebrow with a playful grin.
“Want to do something thrilling?”
“Get in.”
Su Liya stopped dwelling on the past. Without hesitation, she pressed down on the accelerator and drove away from the Civil Affairs Bureau.
The Bugatti Veyron sped along the coastal boulevard, moving both fast and smoothly.
“Shouldn’t we celebrate at a bar? If you hadn’t stopped me, I would have popped a bottle of champagne right in that scumbag’s face!” Lin Jenny complained indignantly.
“You make the arrangements. But first, I need to visit a hair salon.”
Su Liya had no objections to celebrating. She really could use a little alcohol.
Lin Jenny asked another question. “You’ve been retired for three years, and so many people have been looking for you. When are you going to make your comeback and shock the medical world?”
“I haven’t thought about it yet,” Su Liya replied calmly.
Lin Jenny sneered. “I heard your ex-husband has been looking for you, too, all to save his beloved first love. Ha! He probably won’t ever find out, even on his deathbed, that you’re the legendary miracle doctor, King.”
Su Liya remained silent.

Meanwhile, Xu Tianchen was rushing toward the hospital. Anxiously, he called his secretary.
“Any news about King yet?”
King was a world-renowned miracle doctor who had vanished without a trace three years ago. No one had been able to discover his whereabouts.
To this day, no one had ever seen the legendary doctor’s true face. King was extremely mysterious; no one even knew whether King was a man or a woman.
“President Xu, we’ve already exhausted all our connections, but we still haven’t found any information about King.”
“Keep searching! I don’t care if you have to turn the entire world upside down. Find King for me!”
