Late at night, in the Bingshui Bay villa district.

At that moment, Jiang Zhao was devouring his food like a madman, eating with no manners whatsoever. In contrast, every movement Qin Lingxue made while eating carried an air of elegance.

Seeing him eat so anxiously, Qin Lingxue took a sip of hot soup and said calmly, “Eat slowly, no one’s fighting you for it.”Full novel: After Letting My Guard Down, I Got Trapped by a Yandere CEO — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Jiang Zhao only rubbed his stomach with satisfaction after eating even the last grain of rice in the bowl, then said, “You wouldn’t say that if you’d ever starved before.”

“When I was very young, I nearly starved to death more than once in the orphanage. Back then, if you ate even a little slower, you’d go to bed hungry.”

When he mentioned the orphanage, Qin Lingxue’s beautiful eyes flickered as she asked softly, “You were in an orphanage? Do you still remember the people you used to play with there?”

Hearing the strange question, Jiang Zhao asked in confusion, “That was when I was really little, how could I still remember? Why are you asking this?”

“Nothing,” Qin Lingxue snorted coldly.

This guy… he really didn’t remember a thing.

After dinner, of course, came a little alcohol.

Jiang Zhao picked up a bottle of foreign liquor from the display shelf. He couldn’t read the English label, so he poured himself a large glass and gulped it down without hesitation.

Across from him, Qin Lingxue had her head lowered while eating, but when she noticed what Jiang Zhao was doing—and especially saw the bottle in his hand—she immediately tried to stop him.

Unfortunately, it was too late.

The moment the large gulp of liquor went down, Jiang Zhao’s face changed instantly. His throat felt like it was melting, and he grimaced in pain. The glass tipped over and spilled the remaining liquor on the floor.

On the bottle was a single word: [spirytus].

If a bartender had been present, they would have recognized it immediately as a distilled spirit from Poland, rarely consumed directly, mostly used in cocktails—unless, of course, someone had a death wish.

Because this particular liquor was famously known as the “water of life,” with a staggering 96% alcohol content!

“Shit… what kind of liquor is this?!” Jiang Zhao instantly collapsed to the ground, his face flushed. Visit g.com for the full chapter.

He felt dizzy, his mind was spinning, and everything blurred. The next thing he knew, someone had picked him up.

A few minutes later, Ah Hu carried the drunken Jiang Zhao to the bed and turned to leave.

Once the door closed, Qin Lingxue wrinkled her nose at the strong smell of alcohol. She glanced at him disdainfully and muttered, “He really dares to drink anything.”

Then she walked up, intending to help remove Jiang Zhao’s clothes, but without warning, he suddenly pulled her into his arms.

“Don’t leave me…” he mumbled, barely conscious.

Held tightly in his arms, Qin Lingxue’s face flushed red. She hadn’t expected Jiang Zhao to be so bold after drinking.

Moments later, she gently pushed herself up, bit her lip and whispered, “You’re the one who made the first move.”

As she spoke, she slowly unbuttoned her clothes. Her fair skin shimmered in the dim light, and the two plump fruits on the branches carried a faint milky fragrance. Then she leaned into Jiang Zhao’s arms…

That night was destined to be anything but peaceful…

(Warm reminder: If you’re under eighteen, don’t drink recklessly, or you’ll either end up confined for days… or beaten for days.)

The next morning, dew dripped gently along the veins of the leaves, falling into the soil below and nourishing all living things.

Inside the bedroom of the villa.

Jiang Zhao, lying stark naked in bed, suddenly felt a chill below. Instinctively, he opened his eyes, pulled the blanket over his body, turned over, and planned to sleep a little longer.

But in the next second, his eyes widened, and his pupils shrank sharply. He didn’t dare make a sound and just stared blankly at the breathtaking scene in front of him.

Beside him, Qin Lingxue lay with her hair in disarray, completely unclothed, her snowy skin exposed in large patches.

He vaguely remembered drinking last night… and then? What the hell happened?

After a restless night, Qin Lingxue was still exhausted. When she opened her eyes and saw Jiang Zhao’s stunned expression, she leaned in, her soft body pressing against his, and said tenderly, “Sleep a little longer, it’s still early.”

Half an hour later…

Inside the bedroom, Jiang Zhao and Qin Lingxue were both fully dressed. A patch of crimson on the white bedsheet was glaringly obvious.

Jiang Zhao’s mouth twitched. “So… last night I got drunk and came on to you…” He rubbed his thumbs together awkwardly.

Qin Lingxue nodded seriously and said, “Mm. You were rough last night. You didn’t consider my feelings at all. You even hurt me.”

“Please stop talking.” Jiang Zhao covered his face, on the verge of tears.

He’d never been to any shady places during business deals before. Having only graduated high school, he didn’t recognize that so-called “water of life.”

But since it had already happened, he wasn’t the type to run away from responsibility. He immediately straightened up and said seriously, “Don’t worry. I, Jiang Zhao, take responsibility for what I do. Since I did this, I’ll take responsibility for you.”

Hearing this, Qin Lingxue finally felt reassured. She had genuinely been afraid that Jiang Zhao would just leave after getting what he wanted. If that happened, she’d have no choice but to use drastic measures.

Then she stood up and smiled tenderly, “Come on, go shopping with me. And tomorrow, come home with me to meet my parents.”

Jiang Zhao scratched his head awkwardly and said, “I don’t have anything right now. Won’t your parents look down on me? Maybe I should wait until I’ve made some money before meeting my future father- and mother-in-law?”

To that, Qin Lingxue immediately wrapped her arm around his and snorted softly, “What’s there to be afraid of? Any man I fancy—who dares say otherwise?”

“Now that you’re my man, if anyone dares to bully you, I’ll make sure they pay the price. Even if it’s my parents, they’re not an exception!”

Father and Mother Qin: What a filial daughter…
