Boom!

An overwhelming torrent of information and an incomparably domineering force surged into Chu Feng’s limbs and bones. He felt as though his body had been thrown into a furnace… every inch of flesh, every bone, was being frantically tempered and reforged!

The bottlenecks within his body shattered one after another like rotten wood.

1st stage Body Refining Realm… 5th stage… 9th stage peak!

Boom!!!

Qi Gathering Realm… breakthrough successful!

And his cultivation continued to skyrocket…

After an unknown amount of time, when Chu Feng opened his eyes again, the night outside had already deepened.

He lowered his head and looked at his hands. With a slight clench, a dull explosion echoed in the air. He could clearly feel the surging, overwhelming power within his body… completely different from before.

“So I’ve stepped into 1st stage Meridian Opening Realm already?”

Chu Feng murmured to himself.

According to the original owner’s memories, the martial path in this world was divided into Body Refining, Qi Gathering, Meridian Opening, Innate, Golden Core, Primordial Spirit, Void Insight, Grandmaster, Celestial Phenomenon, Profound Passage, Dharma Form, and Heavenly Being… twelve realms in total, each with nine stages.

Now that he had reached 1st stage Meridian Opening Realm, true qi had been born within him. Combined with the Divine Demonic Tyrant Body, he could fight even a 9th stage Meridian Opening Realm cultivator. Among the younger generation of Great Qian, he could already be considered outstanding… though compared to that female killing god Ye Hongluan, the gap was still enormous.

He then turned his head. Beside him, Shuang’er was sleeping soundly, long lashes still carrying traces of happy tears, the corners of her lips slightly raised.

A softness stirred in Chu Feng’s heart. He lowered his head and gently kissed her forehead.

As if sensing his movement, Shuang’er let out a soft murmur and slowly woke. Seeing Chu Feng’s face so close, she instantly blushed and buried her head under the blanket in embarrassment.

Chu Feng chuckled softly, then turned over and pressed forward. “The night is short… let’s go again.”

…

When he finally stepped out of the room again, refreshed and energized, a figure stood silently in the courtyard. The moonlight stretched his shadow long across the ground.

It was Chu Tianlong.

Chu Tianlong looked at him, his gaze complicated, before letting out a cold snort. “You truly never change. Not even your own maid is spared.”

“Tch, that’s called keeping good things within the family,” Chu Feng shrugged indifferently and walked straight ahead. “I’m going out for a stroll.”

“Wait.” Chu Tianlong stopped him.

A woman in green appeared silently behind him. She had a slender, agile figure and a cold, stunning face.

“This is Qingniao. From today onward, she will protect you at all times.”

Chu Feng glanced at Qingniao. Before he could speak, Ling’er’s voice screamed excitedly in his mind.

“Master! Master! It’s the bloodline of the Azure Luan! Although it’s very thin, it’s definitely the bloodline of the ancient divine bird Azure Luan! Great nourishment! This is a supreme tonic!”

Chu Feng fell silent.

He calmly withdrew his gaze and nodded to Chu Tianlong. “Got it.”

Then, bringing along his newly assigned stunning bodyguard, he strode out of the Zhenbei Marquis Manor.

His destination… the place where he had almost lost his life last night…

The Pleasure Pavilion!

He wasn’t the kind of person to sit and wait for death. Since someone wanted him dead, then before they could strike again, he would first drag this venomous snake out into the open!

Under the night sky, the capital remained bustling as ever.

Especially the Pleasure Pavilion, a true den of extravagance. It was brightly lit, filled with noise and laughter, with decadent music drifting several kilometers away.

Dressed in luxurious robes and holding a folding fan, with Qingniao following behind him like a frost-covered shadow, Chu Feng swaggered inside.

The moment he appeared, the noisy and decadent hall fell silent for a brief instant. Then, suppressed whispers spread rapidly.

“Look, isn’t that the useless brat from the Zhenbei Marquis Manor? I heard he was beaten half to death last night. And he’s already back?”

“Tsk tsk, a leopard can’t change its spots. Just came back from the gates of hell, and he’s already here fooling around again.”

“Keep your voice down! His father is Chu Tianlong. Are you trying to die?”

Amid the murmurs, a richly dressed, voluptuous middle-aged woman hurried over. She was Madam Feng, the brothel keeper.

When she saw Chu Feng, her expression stiffened slightly. A trace of panic flickered deep in her eyes, but it was quickly covered by a professional, charming smile.

“Oh my, isn’t this Young Master Chu? What happened last night nearly scared me to death. Are you alright?”

Chu Feng stopped, a playful smile on his lips as he tilted his head at her. “What? Were you hoping I wasn’t?”

Madam Feng’s heart skipped a beat. Her smile almost faltered, and she quickly fanned herself with a scented handkerchief, speaking coyly, “What are you saying, Young Master? You’re our honored guest. If anything happened to you, how could my establishment continue operating?”

“Better be that way.”

Chu Feng said lightly, but his gaze was like a blade, making Madam Feng’s scalp tingle.

At that moment, an untimely mocking voice came from nearby.

“Well, well, isn’t this our famous Young Master Chu? I heard you got beaten like a dead dog over a woman last night. And you still have the face to show up today?”

Everyone turned toward the voice.

A frivolous-looking young man in fine robes stood there, holding a wine cup, his face full of ridicule.

“That’s Wang Chong, the son of the Assistant Minister of Personnel,” someone whispered.

Chu Feng looked at him, and memories about the man instantly surfaced.

His father, Wang Hai, the Assistant Minister of Personnel, was a disciple of the current Right Chancellor… who had always been at odds with Chu Feng’s grandfather, the Left Chancellor.

The Right Chancellor’s grandson, Bai Bufan, was Chu Feng’s mortal enemy, and this Wang Chong was nothing more than his lackey. Naturally, upon seeing Chu Feng, he wanted to step on him to curry favor.

Chu Feng casually picked at his ear as if he hadn’t heard clearly, then asked lazily, “Finished talking?”

Wang Chong was stunned for a moment before sneering. “What? Was I wrong? You useless—”

Slap!

A crisp, resounding slap rang out without warning!

Wang Chong was sent flying by a tremendous force, crashing into a table and rolling onto the ground. Half his face swelled instantly, blood spilling from his mouth along with a broken tooth.

The entire hall fell into dead silence.

Everyone stared wide-eyed at Chu Feng, who slowly lowered his hand.

This… was this still the useless wastrel who could only run home crying after being bullied?

He… he actually dared to hit someone in public? And the one he hit was the son of the Assistant Minister of Personnel!

“Y-you dare hit me?!” Wang Chong clutched his face, roaring in shock and fury.

Chu Feng looked at him as if he were an idiot and walked over slowly.

Slap!

Another even louder slap landed on Wang Chong’s other cheek.

This strike left him dizzy, his vision going black.

“I hit you… so what?” Chu Feng looked down at him from above, his tone calm yet chilling. “Say one more word, and I’ll make sure you never speak again in this lifetime.”

Meeting Chu Feng’s cold, indifferent gaze, Wang Chong shuddered violently. The harsh words stuck in his throat, and he couldn’t utter a single syllable.

That look… it wasn’t like a wastrel at all. It was more like… a killing god who had walked out of mountains of corpses and seas of blood!

Chu Feng no longer paid him any attention. Turning to the terrified Madam Feng, he said, “Bring yesterday’s courtesan to Room Heaven No. 1. Tell her this Young Master is in a very bad mood today.”

Madam Feng hurriedly replied, “Young Master, I’m sorry. That courtesan suddenly fell ill yesterday and has already passed away!”

“Dead?”

Chu Feng’s expression froze for a moment. Then a thought surfaced… silencing witnesses.

The methods of the mastermind were truly ruthless.

Madam Feng quickly added, “But we still have other courtesans. Would you like to take a look, Young Master?”

“Fine.”

Chu Feng clicked his tongue.

Since he was already here, how could he not have some fun? Otherwise, how could he live up to his title as the Number One Prodigal of Great Qian?

With that, ignoring the crowd that stood in stunned silence, he led Qingniao straight toward the private rooms upstairs.

Only after his figure disappeared at the staircase did the hall erupt in gasps.

“He’s gone mad! Chu Feng has completely gone mad!”

“When did he become this ruthless?”

Meanwhile, Wang Chong, now swollen like a pig, was helped up by his servants. He stared venomously at the staircase, his eyes filled with boundless hatred. “Chu Feng! Just you wait! I’m going to find Young Master Bai right now! If I don’t kill you today, I’ll write my surname backward!”
