Chi Ye looked at the screen and was shocked to see a familiar figure: “Li Zhiyin?”

Yan Juexia seemed to have suddenly stepped on an electric door, snapping out of his daze as he turned his gaze to the screen.

Li Zhiyin used her blade to block the incoming bullets, growing increasingly excited!Full novel: After Rebirth, the Real Young Lady Became a Heartthrob Through Involution — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

This blade was truly extraordinary—it could actually merge with her as one!

No wonder she had fallen in love with it at first sight on television!

The underlings were so terrified they scrambled away: “This bastard can even block bullets?!”

The exhausted security guards noticed Li Zhiyin charging forward and were about to tell her to retreat when they saw her black clothes stained all over with blue blood!

!

How many people’s cybernetic bodies had she cut down?!

She was even more terrifying than the assailants!

Li Zhiyin seemed tireless, using momentum to leap up and swing her blade in attack!

Chi Ye couldn’t believe his eyes, watching as Li Zhiyin sliced through one assailant after another as if cutting tofu.

Li Xinghao was dumbfounded: “Could it be that she went easy on me and my brother when she fought us today?”

Li Yanlang: “…”

Yan Juexia looked panicked: “Quick! Land at North Vietnam Hospital! With so many people, she’s in danger! Land now!”

Mo Sinian’s phone was also buzzing incessantly.

Busy with a meeting, he frowned and picked up his phone as warning notifications kept popping up.

[Warning! Li Zhiyin’s Humanity Value -1, remaining 12]

[Warning! Li Zhiyin’s Humanity Value -1, remaining 11]

?

The Humanity Value he had just helped Li Zhiyin increase had actually dropped by four points!

Shocked, he looked out the window.

Li Zhiyin moved like a bolt of lightning, weaving through the burly men around her.

The parents huddled in the corner like frightened chicks, staring blankly as Li Zhiyin dashed here and there.

…When did the fighting break out down there?

Mo Sinian ordered the driver: “Land now!”

He then addressed the people in the meeting room: “I have an urgent matter to attend to. Please continue the meeting without me.”

Meanwhile, at the hospital entrance, an assailant, seeing no escape, panicked and rushed toward Director Chi, thrusting a katana at him!

Chi Ye, who had just stepped out of the hover car, paled and activated his acceleration cybernetics, flashing in front of his father!

But just as he reached his father, a blade sliced through the katana out of nowhere!

The acceleration cybernetics on Chi Ye’s body were still active, and from his perspective, the scene unfolded in slow motion.

First, he saw the veins bulging on the back of the girl’s hand, then his gaze shifted to her striking profile.

Li Zhiyin held a Tang sword, calmly positioning it horizontally in front of him. In that moment, she glanced at him with a lighthearted expression.

Her speed was actually synchronized with his accelerated state!

He had modified his spine and installed the best acceleration device!

Li Zhiyin tilted her head and smiled at him: “Impressive, Chi Ye. You’re quite fast.”

Chi Ye’s breath hitched as he caught the strong scent of blood and blue blood on her.

The smell wasn’t pleasant.

But in that instant, her smile and comment felt like a heavy blow, striking him right in the chest.

His heart reverberated like a bell under the impact.

Li Zhiyin kicked the man away and, in one fluid motion, threw the Tang sword!

The sword pierced the man’s chest!

The man instantly collapsed, motionless!

She let out a long sigh of relief before turning her gaze to the terrified green-haired man and bald man by the roadside.

The two scrambled into their car and sped away, flooring the accelerator.Just then, the police cars arrived. Seeing that the two individuals matched the description from the report, they decisively split into two teams and gave chase.

The adults snapped out of their shock.

Jessica immediately turned to Li Zhiyin. “Are you alright?!”

Li Zhiyin, panting heavily, looked at Jessica. “Are you all okay?”

Jessica shook her head, her expression filled with concern. “We’re all fine. You protected us well, but your face is so pale. Are you hurt?!”

Yan Juexia rushed over to Li Zhiyin, grabbing her shoulders. “How are you? Are you injured?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?! You fought those people with just a knife?! Don’t you know they’re desperate criminals?!”

Jessica and Mr. Yan were stunned by their son’s intense reaction.

Good heavens.

Was this really their child?

Had he been possessed or something?

Nearby, Director Chi watched Yan Juexia’s passionate display and shot a cold, disapproving glance at Chi Ye.

Look at him.

Now look at you.

Chi Ye: “…”

Oblivious, Yan Juexia examined Li Zhiyin from head to toe. “You’re covered in blue blood. I can’t see anything clearly. Are you hurt?”

Li Zhiyin remained silent.

Director Chi glared at his son with frustration before stepping forward. “Juexia, don’t touch her. She’s our savior. The hospital is right behind us. Let’s get her there immediately.”

Jessica and Mr. Yan perked up. “Oh, right, right! Let Zhiyin come with us!”

“No,” Director Chi grabbed Li Zhiyin’s arm. “She’s coming with me and Chi Ye!”

Jessica seized her other hand. “She’s coming with me and my son!”

Director Chi’s eyes darkened, and he shot Jessica an annoyed look. “She saved my life. She should go with my son.”

Jessica forced a smile. “She saved both me and my husband. She should go with my son.”

Director Chi: “My son.”

Jessica: “My son!”

Another mother stepped forward. “Hold on a moment!”

They all turned to her.

The mother chuckled awkwardly. “Zhiyin saved all our lives. Why don’t we just let our sons go with her?”

The parents: “…”

That… kind of made sense.

Jessica quickly caught on and shoved Li Zhiyin’s hand into Yan Juexia’s grasp. “Son, hold on tight. Don’t let go!”

Yan Juexia: “?”

Director Chi’s expression darkened. He snatched Li Zhiyin’s hand and placed it in Chi Ye’s, his stern eyes filled with a threatening intensity. “Hold on tight. She can barely stand.”

Chi Ye: “…”

Yan Juexia suddenly noticed a conspicuous red handprint on Li Zhiyin’s face. “Wait, did someone slap you? Who did it?!”

Li Xiao: “I did.”

The young men frowned at Li Xiao.

The parents also looked at him with disdain.

Still shaken by the earlier events, Li Xiao grew even more irritated at the mention of it. “She hit my son and my daughter. I slapped her back just now. What’s the problem?”

Director Chi’s face hardened as he stepped forward. “Li Xiao, we all know about Li Zhiyin’s situation. This child has suffered so much outside. How could you just hit her like that? You’re her father! Don’t you have any sense of fatherly responsibility?!”

Li Xiao retorted defiantly, “I am her father. Should I just let her bully Li Wuyou? My sons are one thing—they’re tough. But our Wuyou has no fighting ability! Do you know how pitifully she cried?!”Yan Juexia retorted, “She had someone throw away Li Zhiyin’s books! And she ruined Li Zhiyin’s very important pencil case! Isn’t she asking for it?!”

“How much could a book be worth?! How much could a pencil case be worth?!” Li Xiao glared at Li Zhiyin. “Or have you gotten so used to living in the Slums that you’re bringing your stingy habits here? For a lousy pencil case, you beat your sister like that—how can you be so vicious!”

Chi Ye’s face darkened. “It was Li Wuyou who ruined Li Zhiyin’s things first. Instead of apologizing, Li Wuyou is playing the victim?!”

Li Xiao argued unreasonably, “Why should my daughter apologize?! She didn’t do it on purpose!”

Chi Ye raised his voice, “She deliberately ruined someone else’s things and still says it wasn’t on purpose?!”

Li Xiao snapped back sharply, “So what if those worthless things got ruined?! Can’t I afford to pay for them?!”

He took out a wad of cash and was about to throw it in Li Zhiyin’s face!

A hand suddenly appeared, firmly grabbing the money!

Everyone looked toward the source.

Mo Sinian’s expression was fierce as he snatched the money and threw it back at Li Xiao’s face. “Li Zhiyin has changed her surname now. Her legal surname is Shen—she’s Shen Lianyan’s daughter. How dare you lay a hand on someone else’s child?!”

Li Xiao laughed angrily. “One after another, you’re all defending her, huh?! Fine, then why isn’t the Li Zhiyin you’re protecting saying anything?! Let her give me an explanation!”

Mo Sinian looked at Li Zhiyin, only to see her face was deathly pale.

She swayed unsteadily, forcing herself to stand between the two boys. “I…”

Li Zhiyin’s eyes rolled back, and she suddenly collapsed backward.

Yan Juexia and Chi Ye quickly caught her!

Mo Sinian rushed forward anxiously. “Li Zhiyin?!”

Li Zhiyin’s coat was pure black, making it impossible to see the red blood clearly—instead, there was far more blue blood.

But there were two obvious bullet wounds, still oozing blood.

Mo Sinian’s expression changed drastically. “This is bad—she’s been shot!”
