Guan Xue had certainly gone all out tonight. Every male model she’d hired was top-notch, and Jing Mo’s female friends were practically staring holes through them.

Their male friends, meanwhile, grumbled and sat off to one side, glaring as the women had a wonderful time with the models.

Jing Mo eyed the handsome models and even reached out to touch one.Full novel: After Transmigrating as the Vicious Supporting Character, I Dumped the Male Lead and Seduced the Second Male Lead — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Tsk. Still not quite good enough. That handsome guy from earlier was better. No contest. No contest at all.

Jing Mo and Guan Xue and the others stayed out late. Jessica finally arrived, too. He said something had held him up that day: he’d been entertaining an important guest.

When the party broke up, everyone went their separate ways. Guan Xue asked Jessica to drive her and Jing Mo home.

In the car, Jing Mo was nodding off, exhausted.

Jessica drove Jing Mo all the way to the villa district where the Chi family lived.

When Guan Xue helped Jing Mo to the entrance of the Chi Family Villa, the lights inside were on.

Guan Xue took a deep breath, then rang the doorbell.

Nanny Wang opened the door.

The moment she saw Jing Mo leaning on Guan Xue, Nanny Wang hurried over to help her inside.

She immediately had someone make Jing Mo some hangover soup.

“Nanny Wang, I’ll leave Jing Mo in your hands. I’m going home now.” Now that she’d made sure Jing Mo got home safely, Guan Xue was ready to leave. She was exhausted, too.

“All right, Miss Guan.” Nanny Wang nodded.

Once the hangover soup was ready, Jing Mo sleepily got up and drank a large bowl. Then she collapsed into bed without even changing out of her dress. No matter how much Nanny Wang called to her, she wouldn’t respond.

Watching Jing Mo sleep so deeply, Nanny Wang quietly wiped away a tear.

Poor Madam. Sir didn’t love her, so she’d started drinking herself into a stupor.

Jing Mo, fast asleep: ???

The next morning, Jing Mo’s head was pounding. Looking down, she realized she was still wearing yesterday’s red dress.

She pounded her head, then got out of bed and went downstairs.

“Nanny Wang, have someone change all my sheets and bedding.” Jing Mo could smell the strong scent of alcohol on them.

As soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs, she called to Nanny Wang.

“All right, Madam.” Nanny Wang immediately nodded.

“Madam, come have breakfast.” As she spoke, Nanny Wang pulled out a chair for Jing Mo.

One look at the table confirmed it: the same three dishes she didn’t like. Still, Jing Mo ate them all.

“Madam, the driver brought back all the clothes yesterday, and I’ve put them in your dressing room.” The driver had returned with a whole carload of things, saying they were all things Madam had bought.

Jing Mo nodded. She’d told the driver to bring back everything she bought yesterday.

“I’m going to take a shower and change,” Jing Mo said, standing up and heading upstairs.

Nanny Wang watched her go and sighed.

Poor Madam!

Jing Mo enjoyed a lovely shower. When she came out, the sheets and bedding had already been changed.

She wondered if she should go back to sleep for a while.

Wait, no.

As if she’d remembered something, Jing Mo left her room and went to the top of the stairs.

“Nanny Wang, did Chi Yan come home yesterday?” Jing Mo leaned on the railing and looked down at her.

At that, Nanny Wang shook her head.

Jing Mo got her answer and gave a quiet “Oh,” then returned to her room.

Seeing how calm Madam seemed, Nanny Wang felt awful.

Who knew where Sir had gone yesterday? He hadn’t come home all night, and he didn’t even know Madam had gone out to drink her sorrows away.

Poor Madam.

Madam, if you want to cry, go ahead and cry!

What a shame!

But Jing Mo had no desire to cry. She was sorting out her dressing room.

She took down all the black clothes.

When Nanny Wang came in, the sight made her jump.

“Madam, where are you going now?” With a yelp, Nanny Wang rushed over and clung to Jing Mo’s leg.

The clothes in Jing Mo’s hand jerked in fright. Looking down at Nanny Wang clutching her leg, Jing Mo’s mouth twitched.

She wasn’t going anywhere. Why was Nanny Wang making such a fuss?

But Jing Mo quickly figured it out.

In the book, whenever the original owner was unhappy, she’d run away from home a few times. Each time, she waited for Chi Yan to come and coax her, but he never gave in, and in the end she always came slinking back on her own.

Since Jing Mo had just asked Nanny Wang whether Chi Yan had come home, Nanny Wang had assumed she was about to run away again because he’d spent the night out.

At the thought, Jing Mo rolled her eyes. She wasn’t going to play that game.

“Nanny Wang, I’m just throwing out these ugly clothes,” Jing Mo said helplessly.

“Huh?”

Hearing that, Nanny Wang’s expression changed at once. So Madam wasn’t leaving home?

“Don’t you think these clothes are hideous?” Jing Mo asked, looking at them with a hint of disdain.

Nanny Wang glanced at the pile of clothes on the floor.

Come to think of it, they really were pretty hideous.

She’d tried to talk Madam out of wearing them before, but Madam hadn’t listened, saying Sir liked them. It seemed Madam had finally come around!

And no wonder. The moment Nanny Wang had seen Madam yesterday, she’d been stunned. Madam, in a red dress with long, wavy hair, had looked absolutely beautiful!

Madam was beautiful to begin with and ought to wear pretty clothes. But just because Sir had said one thing, she’d dressed drably day after day, hiding her beauty.

What a shame!

“I don’t want any of these clothes. Help me donate them,” Jing Mo said. Throwing them out was out of the question. She might as well let them serve some purpose for someone else.

Seeing how serious Jing Mo was, Nanny Wang finally believed that Madam wasn’t planning to leave home—she really was just getting rid of the clothes. Nanny Wang relaxed.

“All right, Madam.” At that, Nanny Wang smiled and agreed.

It wasn’t until noon that all the ugly clothes had been cleared out of the dressing room. Jing Mo had Nanny Wang hang up all the new clothes she’d bought yesterday.

There had been so many clothes before, so even with some of the new ones hung up, the racks in the dressing room still looked practically empty.

Well, it looked like she’d have to go shopping again when she had time!

With a figure like hers, she had to dress it up properly.

Looking at the brightly colored new clothes on the racks, Jing Mo felt happier than she had in ages.

Yes, life was looking more and more promising.

“Oh dear, Madam, we’ve been busy all morning and forgot—you haven’t made Sir any food!” Nanny Wang suddenly exclaimed.

Jing Mo jumped.

“Let him figure it out himself. I don’t have time to cook for him!” Jing Mo said without turning around.

Nanny Wang’s eyes widened in shock.

Since yesterday, Madam hadn’t cooked for Sir. Nanny Wang had thought she was just in a bad mood and didn’t feel like cooking. But from the way she sounded today, it seemed she no longer wanted to cook for him at all.

“From now on, I’m not cooking for him anymore,” Jing Mo said, still not turning around.

Nanny Wang froze for a moment when she heard that, but quickly recovered.

“But Sir only eats the food you make,” she hurriedly said.

Jing Mo gave a derisive laugh.

“That’s not true. Before I started cooking for him, he didn’t starve to death.” Jing Mo turned and glared at Nanny Wang.

“Huh?”
