After hesitating a little longer, and only when he could no longer hear any movement at all, he assumed Lord Bayar had gone far away.

Plop.

The sound of water was soft but clear.Full novel: After Transmigrating into Beastmen World, This Man Begs for Kiss! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After repeatedly confirming that no one was around, Si Bai finally removed his clothes and slipped into the hot spring.

The water temperature was around twenty degrees.

The spring water had a beautiful faint blue green hue, with mist rising in soft, swirling layers that drifted and danced through the air.

Unknowingly, a wave of sleepiness rose within him.

Si Bai lazily yawned.

Tear drops gathered at the corners of his pale eyes.

So sleepy.

The wave of sleepiness was completely unstoppable.

Si Bai rubbed his eyes, then drifted naturally to the shore and lay down on the soft, fine rocks at the edge of the spring, where he began to doze off.

This hot spring seemed to possess some kind of magical power that made people fall asleep quickly.

In fact, if Si Bai had observed more carefully, he would have discovered the secret hidden within this spring water.

Scattered within the water were faint, fragmented points of light.

Deeper below, many green crystals were embedded in the soil beneath the spring, emitting a soft glow.

As time passed, the light within these crystals gradually weakened.

Once their energy was completely exhausted and they turned into waste stones, they would crumble into ash and merge back into the soil.

The mysterious energy escaping into the spring water could nourish the soul and body, allowing the body to briefly enter a dormant state to better absorb this nourishment effect.

What Si Bai did not know was that these piles upon piles of seemingly ordinary green crystals, casually thrown into the spring by Lord Bayar and appearing extremely common and inexpensive, were actually Origin Crystals that countless high level beastmen desperately sought.

They were precious resources necessary for extending lifespan and breaking through to the Beast King.

Inside the stone house, faint white smoke curled upward.

Bayar had started a fire, set up a stove, and was now calmly stirring a stone pot of medicinal soup with a wooden ladle.

His posture was composed, cold, and noble.

Outside the window, birds chirped continuously.

Mountains and rivers surrounded the area, blending naturally into a tranquil landscape that resembled a hidden paradise.

He had already come to this remote tribe two years ago, and had been waiting for two years.

Bayar disliked being disturbed by outsiders.

So during these two years in the small tribe, he had always lived alone.

He handled all aspects of daily life himself, including food, clothing, shelter, and transportation.

Aside from the food provided by the tribe’s beastmen, everything else he used had been brought from the royal city.

Over time, he had gradually grown accustomed to this life here.

After a short while, the medicinal soup had fully released its aroma, a faint bitter fragrance filling the air.

The liquid had also boiled down into a thick, dark brown consistency.

Bayar glanced out the window.

The medicinal soup was ready, but the patient had not yet returned.

Bayar could not help but narrow his eyes slightly and a faint sense of unease rising in his heart.

His gaze was light, untouched by dust, pure and cold in its indifference, silently rejecting any approach from outsiders.

His purple eyes were long and beautiful, his eyelashes fine and delicate.

A thin, faint shadow cast a slightly curved arc over his eyes, just enough to conceal the unease brewing beneath.

He had always been very good at hiding his emotions.

It was difficult for anyone to see even the slightest flaw through those overly cold eyes.

But even so, a trace of concern still quietly leaked out.

Bayar’s fingertips unconsciously curled.

He subconsciously touched the hot stone bowl, and in just an instant, the scorching temperature forced him to pull his hand back quickly, his mind clearing slightly.

Hot.

He was an ice-type serpent, and even though he had already breakthrough to Tier 9 Beast King and wielding extremely powerful beast origin energy, he still strongly disliked high-temperature objects.

Just as he disliked that person.

He took a piece of beast hide and used it to wrap his fingers, carefully lifting the burning stone bowl and placing it on the edge of the stone table.

Then he stood beside it in silence, waiting for a while.

“…It is already getting cold.”

Why had he still not returned?

For once, Bayar showed a hint of impatience.

After a brief moment of thought, Si Bai first went toward the inner chamber.

The inner chamber was not large, but it was neatly arranged and extremely clean.

Not even a trace of dust could be seen in the corners of the stone walls.

This place stored all the bloodline crystals of the tribe’s beastmen, and the four crystals at the very front were the brightest, newly formed the previous night.

Among all the faintly glowing crystals, only the one at the very front stood out the most.

A faint deep-blue glow, unique and beautiful, like the meeting of the deep ocean and a bright moon.

It was a weak yet breathtaking light, carrying an ultimate sense of ethereal purity.

This was the bloodline crystal of that sub-beastman.

The light was still shining, which meant the person was fine.

Bayar slightly relaxed.

When he lifted his gaze again, the unease in his eyes had already completely faded, but the faintly cool clarity in his expression quickly shifted into a trace of unfathomable suspicion.

He stared at that bloodline crystal for a moment, his long brows lowering slightly as a few guesses formed.

He was the Shaman, and also the absolute powerful priest of the Royal City of Per-Ramessu.

His abilities in divination and perception were overwhelmingly strong, unmatched across most of the region, with only the royal beast of the Feng clan able to rival him.

Because of this, he could sense that the soul power attached to this bloodline crystal was unusual, strangely abnormal, foreign, and out of place.
