Drole stopped the Orc’s attack and was surprisingly strong enough to be able to match the Orc’s strength.

I quickly charged the Orc, easily climbing over the Red Orc’s head and started charging towards the Orc, my speed was slightly increased because of the stack enhancement spell that strengthened my entire body.

Just as I reached the end of the Orc’s, I dropped to the ground, bracing myself for the impact but it didn’t seem to as I landed.Full novel: Airon: Wizard Trials of A.Veli — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Although I was surprised, I continued to charge towards the Orc’s left leg and instead of attacking it from behind I attacked head on cutting straight through its ankle, cleanly taking its foot off.

Bringing it down the moment it started pulling its club up, then once its head was down because it was brought down to its knees, a large boulder was formed above its head and dropped which effectively smashed it, killing the Orc quickly.

There were more than a dozen Orcs still left, the Holy Knights and the adventurers were struggling on holding them back, the mages were moving quickly but only a few of them were strong enough to actually cast a spell that can penetrate the Orc’s thick skin.

They don’t allow you the time to think either, even now as I try to observe this battlefield, another Orc was attacking me.

I can’t tell what it looks like because of the shadow casted by its feet but I can tell it’s trying to step on me.

Before I could react, a branch grew from the ground and wrapped around the Orc’s foot causing it to stop immediately as the branch started forming into a tree.

It was strong enough to hold up against the Orc’s weight, as it covered the entire arch of its foot.

Its other foot was a little less than a kilometer away, so I charged it.

Filling my blade with more flame mana as I go, there were continuous lights flashing above my head.

When I looked up, I saw golden arrows shining before suddenly disappearing, then the Orc’s blood started raining down.

Then suddenly a light shot straight through the Orc’s body and landed in front of me, causing a cloud of dust to explode from the ground just a few inches away from me.

Just a second the smoke was pushed by a gust of wind and in its place a man clad in armor similar to that of the holy knight’s armor, however this knight had a red cape with the Holy Kingdom’s emblem as a gold stitching.

“You’re an adventurer aren’t you? Well fear not, I’ve returned to the Holy Capital and will slay all of these Orcs!” The man said enthusiastically as he had this pure white glow all around his body.

“Who are you?” The words suddenly spit out of my mouth as I looked at his armor and his revealing golden blonde hair.

“I am the Hero Vanyier.” He said as he held his hand up towards me.

“I’ve finally returned to my hometown only to deal with these horde of Orcs. It’s unwelcoming.” As he spoke, blood rain down on us and the Orc’s body split in half before collapsing.

“I am the Adventurer Airon.” I shook the man’s hand.

Although we were in the midst of Orcs, this man’s casual demeanor placated the overwhelming atmosphere of this battle.

“Your mana is rich, are you really just a hunter?” He spoke softly and gave off the air of a wise old man.

However he looks to be in his 20s.

“Well, I’m from a foreign land but that’s about all.” I said hiding the “Contest” part of my life.

“I see, so you must be a dark elf- no something is off, you may have the puffy hair and the dark skin but you do not-” He tried to touch the side of my head but I backed away from it.

“Oh I apologize sincerely, I didn’t realize what I was doing but if you don’t mind, may I ask you a question-” before he got out his words, the bellowing cry of an Orc in pain shook the ground beneath us.

The screaming Orc danced around the battlefield, threatening to crush anything underneath its feet, unfortunately unlike everyone else.

Vanyier and I were the only ones in its path as its foot swooped over our entire vision of the sky.

I immediately casted a spell to at least try and push the Orc away, however a bright flash appeared in the corner of my eye before flying upwards.

” ” Vanyier chanted a spell but I could not hear him in the middle of this volcano of flames I summoned.

It only lasted for a few seconds as the Orc’s foot was swiftly cut diagonally in half at the arch.

Suddenly someone else landed beside with less impact than Vanyier.

“What are you dawdling here for, this isn’t the last Orc.” A man spoke in a stoic voice as he was donned a heavy tank like armor, with thorns wrapping around his already spiked gauntlets.

“Yes, of course Jajax, I am aware. Let us begin this small extermination.” Vanyier calmly walked up towards the Orc, who had now fallen.

His blade which he carries with one arm aimed to the sky, ” ” Vanyier spoke another incantation, the blade, then instantly transformed into a blade made of what can only be described as pure light, its golden appearance elongated and stretching just a few meter away from the clouds, just barely scraping the heavens.

He pulled his sword down and in another instant, he sliced through the Orc.

Less than a second passed and Vanyier disappeared, leaving his ally, the one known as Jajax behind.

Then once again the blade appeared in the sky, as if it was floating.

The blade now in a horizontal stance, swept across the air.

Faster than a simple blink, faster than my own eyes could even perceive.

A majority of the Orcs were cut in half, leaving only three standing with severe gashes on their bodies.

Then a few seconds later, the hero landed in front of me, in the same spot where he was once standing.

“I left a few for the adventurers who were having trouble, it’s bad enough that I took their prey so I left a few.” Vanyier said as he didn’t even break a sweat, he just casually walked back towards my direction.

“Airon is it, well I hope we meet again someday or rather the next time we meet, I’d like to talk to you again. Bye bye.” He waved at me before him and Jajax disappeared or rather vanished. You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.

It was more like one minute they are there, the next, they aren’t.

I would assume that they were just a figment of my imagination but seeing the dead orcs that were left, that wouldn’t be the case.

So I could it’s the teleport spell that Pultra was talking about.

“Airon! Are you okay?” Suddenly Drole came from the direction of the two Orc’s we were originally fighting.

I must’ve forgotten he was there during that interaction.

“Yeah I’m fine… did you see what happened?” I asked as I looked back at the deadline of Orcs.

“The Hero? Yeah I didn’t expect someone like him to show up here. I suppose it makes sense since this is the city where he was born.” Drole said as he looked towards the injured Orcs that were left.

“The Hero is a strong warrior and it’s safe to say that among the humans. He is the strongest adventurer.”

The strongest doesn’t seem to explain anything, why is he “The Hero”, what makes him a hero?

Is it his strength, his magic?

I don’t understand.

Even with such a simple attack, I can feel the mana emanating from his every movement.

His confidence is very well placed, I couldn’t even see his attack, he activated his spells effortlessly.

That man, Vanyier, isn’t just a strong warrior or the strongest adventurer, his strength is overwhelming.

The quest finally finished after an entire hour even with the Orc’s staggering on the death row, without that man to be there, it took quite a while to kill all of those Orcs.

That just goes to show the overwhelming distance in strength between the soldiers and adventurers in that open quest and “The Hero”.

“You’ve been quiet ever since we’ve returned. What’s on your mind Airon?” Kayden asked as sat with a shot of this world’s whiskey.

“I believe the Hero’s caught his eye. He’s been like this ever since his party showed up.” Drole said as he sat with a tankard filled with beer, although the top of it was covered in froth.

“What is it that you want to know about the Hero?” Pultra asked as she sipped from her glass of wine.

“Who is he?” I asked her as I also had a mug of beer in front of me.

“Who is The Hero or Who is Vanyier Velianz?” As Pultra spoke those words, the doors opened simultaneously, almost sounding as if bells were tolled, signaling the end of the day.

Through the doors, came The Hero and his party.
