“Tony and Jasiel are at it again.”

“Didn’t you hear?

I heard it’s because of that movie star Tony brought.”

“Making a movie?”

“That’s interesting.”

“It makes me want in.

There are so many actresses in Hollywood, and I have not had the chance to meet most of them.

Those two really know how to enjoy themselves.”

“Money is nothing to them.

The real issue is that Jasiel actually wants to direct a movie.

Has he lost his mind?”

“This will be entertaining.

More exciting than the movie itself.”

“If someone filmed this whole bet and branded it with Tony Stark’s name, it would be a blockbuster.”

A group of idle heirs chatted with keen interest about the bet between Jasiel and Tony.

Compared to that, the lavish dinner party felt dull.

Their attention was fixed on the unfolding drama, eager to watch every moment.

“Have they left?”

“Not yet, they’re still inside.”

“They haven’t clashed yet, so what about the bets?”

“Leave them for now.

Wait until the movie is released.”

“I heard that if Jasiel loses, he has to become Tony’s errand boy.

That sounds fun.”

The group quickly entered the banquet hall and saw that Tony now had two beautiful women by his side.

Jasiel was no different.

Although he had arrived alone, he was now surrounded by women.

As a wealthy young man with strong influence in New York, Jasiel naturally attracted attention, and many women were eager to stay close to him.

The bet between him and Tony had already spread widely, shocking everyone who heard about it.

Each of them had put up fifty million dollars.

They were treating money like it meant nothing.

“Jasiel, are you really making a movie?”

A stunning woman leaned against him, her arms wrapped around him as she spoke softly near his ear.

“I think your movie still needs a leading lady.”

“You’re right.”

Jasiel smiled and pulled her closer by the waist.

“Are you interested in being my leading lady tonight?”

A one night stand.

The next morning, Jasiel stepped out of the hotel looking refreshed.

Before getting into his car, he casually tossed the woman’s contact information into a nearby trash can.

Daily Bugle.

Betty stared at him in surprise.

She did not expect Jasiel to show up on time.

It felt as if the world had turned upside down.

“Betty, how long have you been working here?”

She blinked, caught off guard by the question.

“About three years, since I graduated.”

Jasiel nodded.

“You’ve been assisting the old man all this time.

You understand how everything runs.

From now on, I want you to take over my responsibilities.

He will be more at ease with you handling things.”

Betty froze.

“It’s settled.”

Jasiel stood, waved casually, and headed for the door.

“I’ll talk to him about it now.”

Betty watched him leave, confused.

She assumed he was bored again and looking for entertainment elsewhere.

Jameson, however, would not take this well.

She was right.

Bang!

Inside a high end villa in New York.

“You brat!

Do you think the Daily Bugle is something you can walk in and out of as you please?”

J.

Jonah Jameson slammed his desk, his face flushed with anger.

“Handing it to someone more reliable like Betty is the right choice.”

Jasiel looked at him calmly.

“Before I took over, you were already considering her as your successor.”

“That’s nonsense!”

Jameson snapped.

“She is your assistant and nothing more.

The editor in chief position is not for someone that young.”

“You’re being biased.”

Jasiel crossed his arms.

“As the boss, you should be fair.”

“Biased?”

Jameson scoffed.

“Even if I was, no one would believe it.

I have fought for equal rights longer than you have been alive.

You think you can lecture me?”

“I just want you to be reasonable.”

Jasiel remained composed.

Jameson’s temper had never intimidated him.

From his memories, the old man cared deeply about one person above all else.

His son, John Jameson.

An astronaut who spent most of his time in space or training.

Jasiel barely remembered him.

As for his mother, she had disappeared long ago after taking a settlement.

That left Jameson as the closest person in his life, sharp tongued but not without care.

“Either way, I’m done running the newspaper.”

Jasiel spoke firmly.

“I’m making a movie.

I already know what I want to film.”

“You?”

Jameson sneered.

“I’m not giving you a single dollar.

If you want money, go act in cheap films and earn your drinks that way.”

“I don’t need your money.”

Jasiel shrugged.

“I already found an investor.”

“Who would be foolish enough to fund you?”

“I’m glad you asked.”

Jasiel grinned.

“Because you just described him perfectly.”

“Who?”

“Tony.”

“Tony?

Your hairstylist?”

Jasiel paused, then sighed.

“Tony Stark.

Stark Industries.

Genius inventor.

Global arms dealer.

Famous playboy.

And according to you, the fool funding my project.”

Jameson fell silent.

He stared at Jasiel, trying to process it.

How did Tony Stark end up involved with this troublemaker?

It made no sense.

Then again, maybe it did.

“Which actress are you trying to get close to this time?”

Jameson rubbed his temples.

“You’re slandering me.”

Jasiel looked offended.

“I’m serious about this.

I’m even considering cutting ties with you for three months.

Don’t contact me during that time.”

“Should I freeze your bank account while I’m at it?”

“…I’ll reconsider the cutting ties part and give you an answer tomorrow.”

Jameson narrowed his eyes.

“You’re serious about making a movie?”

“I even have a script.”

“Let me see it.”

Jasiel hesitated.

“I’ll show you tomorrow.”

Jameson’s expression darkened.

He waved him away, clearly unimpressed.

Jasiel left without another word.

Behind him, Jameson watched silently.

With Tony Stark involved, he decided to let Jasiel do as he pleased.

At least someone else would deal with the consequences this time.

Still, Jameson made a quiet decision.

He would revise his will immediately.

The cash meant for Jasiel would go into a trust fund.

After his death, Jasiel would receive a fixed allowance.

Not a dollar more.

That reckless brat would not waste everything he had built.
