“So, there is only one truth…
You are the murderer!”
Inside a restaurant, Conan and the Mouri family, who had come out for a meal, accidentally stumbled upon a murder case.
In the end, through the brilliant and impeccable deductions of the great detective Mouri Kogoro, the killer was successfully identified.
However, unlike most perpetrators in the past, this criminal did not quietly accept his fate.
Once his identity as the murderer was exposed, he made no move to confess.
Instead, he immediately seized the nearest young girl and attempted to flee.
“Everyone, out of my way, or I’ll kill her too!”
The criminal’s face twisted into a menacing snarl.
He pressed the knife he carried against the girl’s delicate neck, bellowing with fierce bravado that barely masked his cowardice.
Yet, the expression on the beautiful, orange-haired girl being held hostage was utterly bewildered, as if she still could not comprehend the situation at hand.
Fujimaru Ritsuka was, in fact, genuinely confused at this moment.
She had just transferred into a brand new world.
Before she even had a chance to grasp the circumstances of this place, she had suddenly been taken hostage.
Such an absurd turn of events would leave anyone dumbfounded.
However, as a Master who had saved Human Order and possessed formidable mental fortitude, Ritsuka quickly composed herself and rapidly assessed the situation.
This was because the figure that appeared within her peripheral vision was simply too iconic: clad in a blue suit jacket, a red bow tie at his collar, wearing large-framed glasses — that elementary school student.
It’s you, the savior of the Japanese police, the Sherlock Holmes of the Reiwa era, the eternal death-bringer elementary schooler, the walking washing machine—
Edogawa Conan!!
Detective Conan.
A name that thundered in her ears like a bolt from the blue.
Phrases like “the well-policed Beika Town, the honest and simple folk of Gotham City,” the protagonist bringing death wherever he goes, the red side being full of superhuman operatives, the black side full of moles, all sorts of black technology and superhumans, and that cry of “Ah Sherry~!”…
A barrage of information flashed through Fujimaru Ritsuka’s mind, and a touch of nervousness involuntarily rose in her heart.
Such a dangerous world…
…Huh, maybe it’s not that dangerous after all?
She suddenly realized that she was no longer the same person she used to be.
She was no longer an ordinary human, but the Master of Chaldea!
Chaldea, fully known as the Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, Finis Chaldea, is an institute and observatory that gathers researchers from various fields, regardless of whether they are from Magic or Science, all for the purpose of ensuring the long and resilient continuation of human history.
It is a secret agency jointly established by various nations to prevent human extinction.
To an ordinary person, the world of Detective Conan is indeed a dangerous place riddled with murder cases.
But for her, now emerging from Chaldea, it didn’t really seem like much at all.
A multitude of thoughts swirled in her mind, but just then, a sharp pain from her body abruptly yanked her back to reality.
It was the criminal holding her hostage, roughly clamping down on her neck as he dragged her body towards the exit of the restaurant!
Although the police had been called upon the discovery of the body, they had not yet arrived.
Everyone else in the restaurant was a civilian, and no one dared to obstruct the ferocious killer, so they quickly cleared a path.
Because the criminal had a hostage, Mouri Ran found herself temporarily unable to act.
She could only move stealthily through the crowd, preparing to rescue the girl when the perpetrator’s attention lapsed.
“Damn it, aren’t the police here yet?!”
Conan couldn’t help but mutter a complaint under his breath.
He hurriedly looked around for something he could kick as a projectile.
With the Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes invented by Dr.
Agasa, he would be able to deliver a kick strong enough to knock the criminal unconscious.
But neither Ran nor Conan got the chance to execute their plans.
The hostage in the criminal’s grasp, a girl everyone perceived as delicate and frail, suddenly erupted into action.
Fujimaru Ritsuka abruptly reached up and grabbed the wrist of the hand the criminal was using to hold the weapon.
With a violent twist, brute force wrenched the criminal’s right hand back uncontrollably.
The criminal let out a pained cry, his grip on the weapon involuntarily loosening.
The knife clattered to the ground with a loud clang.
Freed from the criminal’s restraint, Ritsuka’s movements did not stop.
She ducked low, passing under the criminal’s armpit to come around behind him.
The hand she held was forcibly twisted behind his back.
With a forceful push from her left hand, she slammed the criminal face-down onto the floor, pinning him to the ground with one hand while locking his right arm with the other, completing the restraint.
Although she possessed merely average talent in both Magecraft and martial arts, she was, at the very least, hardworking and diligent.
The Servants of Chaldea included no shortage of excellent teachers in various disciplines.
Through years of training at Chaldea, although her combat ability still fell far short of warrior-type Servants, handling an adult male like this criminal — someone who hardly ever exercised — was child’s play for her.
“…Amazing.”
After a moment of silence fell over the restaurant, a gasp of admiration came from somewhere, a sentiment shared by everyone present.
Her movements were swift and fluid.
Most of the people in the restaurant had not even reacted before she had successfully neutralized the criminal.
The stark contrast between her slender figure and the large adult male, coupled with her beautiful features, was just like a scene out of a female-led action movie.
“Wee-oo!
Wee-oo!”
Just then, the sound of police sirens came from outside.
Inspector Megure Juzo, having rushed from the car, led his officers bursting into the restaurant.
Seeing the scene before him, he couldn’t help but freeze for a moment.
“What happened here?
What’s the situation?”
“Uncle Megure!”
It was only then that the “Sleeping Kogoro” slowly awoke, utterly bewildered and with no idea what had just transpired.
Meanwhile, Ran stepped out from the crowd, came before Megure, and began carefully recounting the entire course of the case to him.
Seeing the incident resolved successfully, Conan breathed a sigh of relief.
But then, he looked at the girl who was handing over the criminal to the police, and then glanced over at the equally impressively skilled Ran, his expression turning a bit odd.
Are girls these days all this formidable?
Though, speaking of which, he hadn’t been able to observe carefully earlier due to the urgency of the situation, but that young lady who was a hostage is a true beauty.
Striking short orange-red hair, with a side ponytail tied on the left that exuded youthful energy.
Her lovely features were delicate and cute, her figure slender and well-proportioned, brimming with vitality.
Anyone who saw her would surely praise her as adorable, as beautiful.
But what felt slightly out of place to him was the girl’s attire — unsuitable for her age, unfashionable, and not looking like everyday wear at all.
A white blouse and long boots, paired with a black mini-skirt and stockings, along with three rows of black leather straps on the shirt serving some unknown purpose.
Such a simple black-and-white color scheme looked almost like the uniform of some kind of research institution…
As if sensing his gaze, the girl’s line of sight also fell upon him.
Conan’s heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly flashed an innocent, harmless smile befitting a small child, trying to bluff his way through.
Such sharp intuition, Conan thought.
Such a hassle, Ritsuka thought.
Upon realizing Conan was observing her, she inwardly thought this was troublesome.
While she wasn’t afraid of trouble, if she somehow got entangled with Conan, she feared that murder cases would occur wherever she went from now on.
Just thinking about it gave her a headache.
But then again, she had no idea how long she would stay in this world.
It was far too early to be worrying about such things.
