Secretary Demon?
Xin’s eyes lit up; it looked like a special demon.
Moreover, the moment Kasumigaoka Utaha became his familiar, both his physical fitness and magic power experienced a noticeable increase.
The level that had already reached the critical value seemed to break through a barrier, smoothly reaching the rank of High-Class Devil.
Seeing that the changes on Kasumigaoka Utaha’s side had not yet ended, Xin opened his status panel.
[Xin Valefor]
[Race: Devil]
[Rank: High-Class Devil]
[Authority: None]
[Familiar: Kasumigaoka Utaha]
[Skills: ‘demon chess pieces’, ‘Demon Contract’, ‘Mana Burst’, ‘Secretary Demon’]
Xin confirmed his own rank, then focused his attention on the skill ‘Secretary Demon’.
[Secretary Demon]
Demon Book: Capable of recording abilities such as magic and immortal arts, and releasing them through the Demon Book.
The more detailed the recorded ability information, the more completely the ability can be released.
Demonization: The body and the Demon Book merge into one, bearing everything recorded in the book.
Accelerated magic growth.
“Sounds like a pretty good skill?”
Xin carefully read the skill description, feeling that this skill had a lot of potential.
“This is…”
On the other side, Kasumigaoka Utaha’s reincarnation ritual had already ended, and she was staring blankly at a book floating in mid-air.
The book was dark black, had an iron-like texture, and was very thick.
“The Demon Book.”
Xin replied.
“The Demon Book?”
“Hold on a second.”
Xin took her Demon Book.
As Kasumigaoka Utaha’s master, and also possessing the skill ‘Book Demon’, her Demon Book was shared with Xin.
Xin opened a blank page, took a pen out of his pocket, stared intently at Kasumigaoka Utaha’s chest for a moment, and then lowered his head to write in the Demon Book.
Kasumigaoka Utaha’s cheeks heated up.
Only then did she remember that her clothes were still wide open in front.
She hurriedly straightened her clothes, could not help but glance around, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw no one else around.
As for Xin?
Well, he probably wasn’t human anymore.
Anyway, he had already seen it anyway.
Kasumigaoka Utaha muttered inwardly.
“All right.”
Xin stopped writing and handed the Demon Book to Kasumigaoka Utaha.
She took it curiously.
Kasumigaoka Utaha
Low-class Devil
Race: Devil
Master: Xin Valefor
Strength: I0
Agility: I0
Endurance: I0
Magic: I0
Inherent Skills:
[Book Demon]
Demon Book: Capable of recording abilities such as magic and immortal arts, and releasing them through the Demon Book.
The more detailed the recorded ability information, the more completely the ability can be released.
Demonization: The body and the Demon Book merge into one, bearing everything recorded in the book.
Accelerated magic growth.
Seeing her own information above, Kasumigaoka Utaha said in a complicated tone, “So, I’m no longer human?”
“Congratulations, the surgery was a great success.”
Kasumigaoka Utaha couldn’t help glaring at this sarcastic ‘master’, then sighed helplessly.
Things had come to this, what else could she do?
At least, the feeling of becoming a devil seemed pretty good?
She hadn’t turned ugly, nor did her body become deformed like that female devil earlier.
Furthermore,
Kasumigaoka Utaha clenched her fists.
Her body…
seemed filled with strength!
And there was also this ‘Demon Book’.
This was extraordinary power that only existed in fantasies!
All these benefits made her quickly accept the reality, and she even felt a bit eager to try out her new power.
But before that,
“What does the I0 behind strength and agility mean?”
Xin explained, “Ability values.”
Although it was somewhat different from the Falna system, the basic logic was roughly similar.
The ability values ranged from I to S across ten ranks, with each rank spanning 0~99, 100~199…
and S rank being 900~999.
There were also out-of-spec entities capable of breaking through the limit of S rank to reach SS and SSS.
Aside from the different ranks and the lack of magic slots and developmental abilities, Xin’s Falna System was pretty much the same in other aspects.
After briefly explaining the Falna System, Kasumigaoka Utaha nodded in understanding.
Grinding monsters to level up—she got it.
“So, where are we going to grind for levels next?”
Kasumigaoka Utaha’s eyes flickered with a hint of excitement.
Extraordinary power, hey!
Who could resist that?
Hurry up and find a monster for her to kill!
“Hmm…
perhaps right here?”
Xin pointed towards the direction outside the distant alley.
The magic burst just now had conveniently evaporated the Curse Spirits in the alley.
But such gloomy places were never short of the affection of Curse Spirits.
The alley, having lost its lord, had become a place where nearby Curse Spirits flocked eagerly.
Kasumigaoka Utaha followed the direction Xin pointed, and the corners of her eyes suddenly twitched.
“What kind of ghost things are these again?”
Looking at the bizarrely shaped Curse Spirits with tongues dragging on the ground, she couldn’t help feeling a chill in her heart.
“They really are ghost things.
To be precise, you should call them Curse Spirits.”
“Curse Spirits?”
They really are ghosts!!
Kasumigaoka Utaha shuffled her feet and hid behind Xin with lightning-fast speed.
Xin: “…”
“Weren’t you going to grind for levels?”
Xin dragged her out from behind him.
Kasumigaoka Utaha hurriedly hugged his arm.
“I’m not ready yet!”
“Can you see them?”
“You can see them!”
“Ah, it seems to have noticed you.”
Xin struggled to pull his arm out from a patch of softness, smiled kindly at her, and then mercilessly gave her a gentle push forward.
“Go, Utaha-chan!”
