“The feeling of allocating points is just awesome!”

“Though saying this might be a bit inhumane, I genuinely hope the other versions of me in other worlds kick the bucket quickly, turning into my points!”

After the enhancement, Makoto did not leave the co-transmigration space.Full novel: Anime Multiverse: My Other Selves Keep Dying for Me — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He stood before the first grave’s tombstone, staring at the photo, at the grinning, spiky-haired version of himself in the picture.

The Makoto from the ‘Jumper’ world was the child of a white man and a Chinese woman, having a very classic American name, but that wasn’t important.

What mattered was that Makoto’s start was terrible.

A mother who ran off with the money.

An alcoholic, violent father.

The BGM etched into his childhood was the neighbors’ never-ending arguments, the roar of modified cars racing down the street, and the ubiquitous police sirens.

A very typical American underclass.

From the time he understood things, he endured family poverty, his father’s violence, the community’s cold stares, and ostracism from his peers.

Though he had tried seeking help in Chinatown, his mother being Chinese didn’t win him any favors.

Around the age of ten, during one instance where he could no longer bear his father’s drunken violence, the young Makoto, in an emotional outburst, activated the [Jumper] ability and teleported elsewhere.

From then on, he began stealing without restraint.

Stealing from supermarkets, from wealthy neighborhoods, from banks, and thus lived a lavish, extravagant life.

Later, from another Jumper, he gradually learned his ability came from bloodline inheritance, though it didn’t awaken in every generation.

Simultaneously, he also learned that since the Middle Ages, there had been a religious organization called the ‘Ranger Organization’ hunting Jumpers.

But the arrogant Makoto didn’t take others’ warnings to heart.

Without memories of a past life and lacking formal education, that Makoto, like most of his underclass teenage peers in the community, didn’t understand rationality or restraint, only knew to indulge in emotions and desires.

Unsurprisingly, he was ambushed and killed by the Ranger Organization.

“I still have some impression of the movie ‘Jumper’.

A stupid male lead, a tragic male supporting character, and the leader of the Rangers who hunt Jumpers, a black villain.”

Makoto had memories of this movie, and the memories of that other Makoto also flowed in his mind.

The other’s dying wish was: get revenge and continue living freely.

Revenge, he knew.

The enemies were a major organization that had existed since the Middle Ages.

“Leave!”

Closing his eyes, Makoto returned to the main anime world.

The black-and-white world regained its color upon his return, and the frozen time began to flow once more.

“Bulletproof vest, insulating suit, gas mask…”

“Submachine gun, smoke grenade, flashbang, chemical weapons…”

Makoto took these military-grade items from the shelves and laid them out together.

He put on the bulletproof vest underneath, donned the insulating suit capable of withstanding seven thousand volts over it, and also wore the gas mask.

He still remembered how the Ranger Organization hunted Jumpers in the movie.

They would use some crude black tech to detect the entrances of those spatial teleportations, then use black tech to enlarge the entrance, allowing the entire Ranger squad to teleport to the exit point, appearing unexpectedly before the Jumper, catching them off guard.

Then they would use incapacitating weapons like high-voltage electric guns to subdue the Jumper and restrict their teleportation.

Finally, they would use a certain religious blade to stab the person to death.

Very ritualistic.

With all preparations complete, Makoto entered the ‘Jumper’ movie world.

Time in the main anime world froze again, while time in the movie world began to surge and flow!

…

“Why…

why kill me?”

“Because you’re a monster, a monster, understand?”

Roland, the Paladin of the Ranger Organization, was a middle-aged black man with a head of white hair.

He stared coldly at this youth of half-Chinese descent, looking at his spiky hair turned into a bird’s nest by the electric current, his mouth visibly curling with contempt and anger.

Under the effect of strong electric current, humans cannot concentrate.

And for a Jumper to teleport, they must concentrate and visualize the destination scene in their mind.

“Can teleport anywhere…”

“Only God is worthy of such power!”

Yes.

The Ranger Organization had been hunting these teleporting ‘monsters’ since the Middle Ages, not entirely because of stolen property, but more because they believed these monsters were heretics blaspheming God’s divine power.

“God.”

Roland raised the blade in his hand and stabbed it fiercely into the youth’s heart, twisting the hilt as if that wasn’t enough.

His bloodshot eyes wide open, his dark face broke into a fierce, intoxicated smile.

The youth’s body convulsed violently for a while, his pupils gradually dilating until there was no more movement.

Roland pulled out the blade, slowly inhaling.

“One less scourge.”

He turned to instruct his subordinates: “Job’s done.

Clean up and leave this godforsaken place early.”

“Paladin!!”

Those Rangers who were packing up the equipment looked at him, exclaiming in surprise, calling out Roland’s position name in the organization.

Their expressions were all shocked, all fearful, as if they had seen something unbelievable.

“Who?!”

Roland whipped his head around, only to see the youth’s corpse had vanished.

Standing there in its place was a person in an insulating suit.

Insulating suit…?

Not good!

The next second, his vision blurred.

The figure disappeared, followed immediately by a flashbang landing on the ground.

The intense flash injured the Rangers’ eyes.

They covered their eyes, screaming, cursing.

And in this moment of blindness, cold gunshots rang out in the space.

It was a PPSh-41.

Usually, when firing such a submachine gun on full-auto, people would tuck it under their arm, press their arm against the weapon, aiming while adjusting the muzzle, because the recoil of this submachine gun on full-auto is extremely strong.

However, at this moment, the hand holding the gun was fully extended, firing continuously.

When firing, the recoil of each shot naturally adjusted the trajectory of the next bullet, aiming at another target.

The gunfire ceased.

The smell of gunpowder filled the air.

Almost everyone in the Ranger squad had fallen.

The brutal skills of the modified assassin from another world took only one point five seconds to slaughter over a dozen well-trained professionals, and pressed the scorching gun muzzle against Roland’s forehead.

Makoto removed his gas mask, his tone leisurely.

“Did your God tell you that I can actually resurrect?”

“How did you…

impossible…”

Roland’s pitch-black face was filled with intense disbelief: “How can a person resurrect?

And your insulating suit, and the gun…

where did they come from?”

“You said I’m a monster, didn’t you?”

“…Heretic!!”

The middle-aged black man’s face twisted like a demon’s.

He didn’t care about the gun against his forehead, just kept trembling and muttering ‘heretic,’ his eyes glaring at Makoto with hatred.

“You’re jealous, right?”

“What!”

“You’re jealous of me, jealous of those who possess the teleportation ability.

What an interesting holy man, hating heretics while secretly envying and coveting their power.”

“I, I am not!”

“Doesn’t matter.

Take your questions and jealousy…”

A slender finger pulled the trigger: “Go see God!”
