Hanyu Genichi wasn’t so shortsighted that he would level up without first building a solid foundation.
Only a fool would make such a choice.
He didn’t know whether Falna could travel with him into other worlds, but he still had no intention of leveling up so carelessly.
At the very least, he would first grind his ability values to their limits.
Besides, grinding ability values wasn’t difficult for him.
He merely needed to have some fun inside his dreams, and his ability values would soar in reality.
Since he could effortlessly max them out, he had no intention of wasting his talent.
His head might have felt ready to split apart when he awoke, but last night’s gains had been astonishing.
His Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, and Agility had risen from I0 to I99, while his Magic had shot straight to C666.
If word spread, every adventurer in Orario would lose their mind.
Ordinary adventurers could risk their lives in the Dungeon for months without gaining that many ability values.
Genichi had matched months of their grueling effort simply by sleeping once.
If he could obtain results like this every night…
The corner of Genichi’s mouth curved upward, and his gaze gradually drifted into the distance.
Then there was Alfia.
Thanks to Demeter’s reminder, Genichi finally recalled that such a character had indeed existed in DanMachi.
She was the aunt of Bell, the rabbit-like protagonist.
Known as “The Strongest Human,” Alfia also carried the alias “Monster of Talent.”
Alfia had been one of the few top adventurers in Orario’s history to reach Level 7.
Her strength was so overwhelming that even Level 8 adventurers reportedly treated her with caution.
However, the legendary adventurer eventually died for reasons Genichi could no longer clearly remember.
He had spent over ten years in this crossover anime universe.
By now, the plots of anime he had watched in his previous life had blended into an incomprehensible mess.
However, if Alfia was dead, why had her magic appeared on his Falna?
Had he somehow encountered Alfia’s soul in his dream last night?
Genichi frowned and desperately searched his memory for any fragment of that dream.
His mind remained completely blank.
He sensed that he had experienced an incredibly long dream filled with voices, images, and warmth.
Yet every detail was hidden behind a dense fog, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t grasp anything solid.
How the hell did that make any sense?
It was his own dream, so why couldn’t he remember any of it?
“What is it?
Are you regretting that you can’t remember what happened in last night’s dream?”
Demeter gave Genichi a thin smile.
Her voice carried obvious teasing and a faint trace of jealousy.
“Alfia wasn’t merely a genius known as the ‘Monster of Talent.’ She was also an incredibly beautiful woman.”
Would Genichi care about Demeter’s subtle jealousy?
Of course not!
“Of course I regret it!
Alfia was both beautiful and incredibly powerful.
If I had the chance to experience something with her, what man could possibly refuse?”
Genichi answered as casually as though he were discussing the pleasant weather.
He truly didn’t believe he had said anything wrong.
Everyone admired beauty.
Alfia was a legendary female adventurer blessed with both overwhelming strength and breathtaking looks.
Any normal man would naturally feel curious and attracted to her.
Besides, she had somehow “given” Genichi two powerful spells without his knowledge.
What was wrong with praising her a little?
Seeing Genichi boldly admit everything without the slightest shame, Demeter angrily punched him in the chest.
Thud!
The blow knocked Genichi backward, nearly sending him tumbling headfirst onto the floor.
He clutched his chest, grimacing as he coughed several times.
Demeter hadn’t used her full strength, but even with her divine power sealed, the physical abilities of a goddess far surpassed his own.
Her punch left his chest aching and tight.
“I suppose I should expect nothing less from a man who awakened a skill like [Slaanesh].
You truly are ruled entirely by your desires.”
Demeter snorted and planted her hands on her hips.
She stared down at the coughing Genichi with an expression that declared she had seen straight through him.
“I’m being falsely accused, Goddess!”
After catching his breath, Genichi hurriedly waved his hands in protest.
“I’m only being honest!
I said it would be nice if something happened with such a beautiful woman.
I never said I intended to do anything!”
“People are allowed to talk, aren’t they?
It’s not against the law!”
“Hmph.
You’d better be all talk.”
Demeter rolled her eyes, though the corner of her mouth rose slightly.
Genichi’s shameless confidence seemed to have amused her.
She turned around, sat on the edge of the bed, and examined the parchment again.
Her expression gradually became serious.
“On a more serious note, Alfia may already be dead, but the fact that her magic appeared on your Falna means [Dreamwalking] is far more powerful and unusual than we imagined.”
“It isn’t merely a simple dream spell.
It may even operate on the level of the soul.”
Genichi stopped fooling around and looked at Demeter seriously.
“You mean I really encountered Alfia’s soul in my dream last night and then had sex with her?”
“Almost certainly.”
Demeter nodded.
“Alfia died many years ago, while [Dreamwalking] somehow resonated with her and established a connection between you inside the dream.”
“As for why you can’t remember, your mind may not be strong enough to contain those memories yet.”
“Alternatively, some force may have sealed them until you satisfy certain conditions required to unlock them.”
“That’s actually possible?”
Genichi rubbed his temples and released a troubled sigh.
“Then how am I supposed to know when they’ll unlock?”
“That’s simple.
Raise your Magic or any attributes related to your mind far enough, or enter the dream again and attempt to contact Alfia.”
“You may eventually recover those memories.
However…”
Demeter paused, a warning entering her gaze.
“If you intend to enter the dream and actively search for Alfia, prepare yourself first.
She’s a Level 7 ‘Monster of Talent,’ and she won’t be easy to deal with.”
Genichi shuddered.
“Never mind, then.
I’ll focus on grinding my ability values first.”
He drew his neck in and temporarily abandoned the idea of investigating Alfia.
