The dragon’s expression suddenly became serious.
"If we are to become companions, then we should exchange names as equals."
Rimuru tilted his gelatinous body in confusion.
"As equals?"
Clearly unfamiliar with how monster naming worked, he turned toward Sirzechs.
Sirzechs smiled faintly before explaining.
"For monsters, names hold tremendous significance. Normally, a superior grants a name to a subordinate."
He glanced toward Veldora.
"In doing so, the one giving the name expends magicules, while the one receiving it gains power and often evolves."
Rimuru listened attentively.
"However," Sirzechs continued, "when two beings exchange names as equals, it symbolizes a relationship between companions rather than master and servant. It is a declaration that neither stands above the other."
Realization dawned on the slime.
"Oh!"
Veldora nodded proudly.
"Exactly!"
The Storm Dragon puffed out his chest.
"I have no interest in making either of you my servants."
The dragon’s eyes gleamed with excitement.
"Companions are far more interesting!"
Rimuru couldn’t help smiling.
"Then let’s do it."
"Excellent!"
Veldora’s tail swayed happily behind him.
"In that case, come up with a family name for us."
Rimuru froze.
"...Eh?"
The slime pointed at himself.
"Me?"
"Of course!"
"W-Wait, why me?!"
"Because I said so!"
The dragon’s answer was immediate.
Rimuru nearly choked.
’That’s not a reason!’
Unfortunately, arguing with a True Dragon was clearly pointless.
Thus, under the expectant gazes of both Veldora and Sirzechs, Rimuru was forced into deep thought.
Several minutes passed.
Then suddenly, an idea appeared in his mind.
"How about..."
He paused dramatically.
"...Tempest?"
The cavern fell silent.
"Tempest?" Sirzechs repeated thoughtfully.
Rimuru nodded enthusiastically.
"It sounds cool, doesn’t it?"
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then—
"FUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Veldora’s booming laughter shook the cave.
Dust rained from the ceiling as the dragon roared with delight.
"Excellent!"
"A magnificent name!"
The Storm Dragon looked genuinely pleased.
"From this day onward, we shall bear the name Tempest!"
His laughter echoed throughout the cavern.
Then his gaze shifted toward Sirzechs.
"You are included as well, my friend."
Sirzechs chuckled softly.
"I suppose I have no objections."
And thus, deep within the sealed cave where no one else could witness it, an unusual family was born.
A True Dragon.
A reincarnated slime.
And a daemon from another world.
Veldora looked toward Rimuru first.
His expression became solemn.
"Then hear me, my friend."
The dragon’s voice reverberated throughout the cavern.
"From this day onward, your name shall be Rimuru Tempest!"
The moment the name was spoken, the Voice of the World reacted.
A brilliant light erupted around the small slime.
An immense torrent of magicules flowed from Veldora into Rimuru’s body.
The blessing of a True Dragon engraved itself upon his soul, strengthening his existence at a fundamental level.
"W-W-Wait!"
Rimuru panicked.
"What’s happening?!"
His body glowed brightly as waves of energy surged through him.
Sirzechs merely watched with interest.
Unlike Rimuru, he already understood what was happening.
In this world, a name granted by a powerful being was far more than a simple title.
It was recognition.
It was a blessing.
It was power itself.
And a name granted by a True Dragon was among the greatest blessings a monster could ever receive.
As the light surrounding Rimuru gradually faded, Veldora turned toward Sirzechs.
A grin spread across the dragon’s face.
"Now then."
"It is your turn."
The atmosphere around the cavern shifted once more as the Storm Dragon prepared to bestow a name upon his final companion.
Once Rimuru’s transformation finally settled, Sirzechs turned his attention toward Veldora.
"As for me," he said with a faint smile, "simply call me Lucifer."
Veldora blinked for a moment before letting out a booming laugh.
"Very well!"
The Storm Dragon raised his head proudly.
"From this day onward, you shall be known as Lucifer Tempest!"
The instant the name was bestowed, Sirzechs felt a profound change occur within himself.
The name engraved itself directly into his soul.
A connection formed between himself and Veldora, linking their existences together.
At the same time, he felt a blessing descend upon him.
The Divine Protection of the Storm Dragon.
A vast torrent of magicules surged into his body, flowing through every corner of his being.
Although the amount was not enough to trigger another evolution, it was still an enormous gain.
However, Sirzechs had already planned how to make the most of this opportunity.
As the magicules coursed through him, he focused his thoughts with absolute intensity.
A single desire filled his mind.
An intelligent skill.
A skill capable of processing information, analyzing phenomena, and assisting him in understanding the laws of this world.
His will reached out toward the Voice of the World.
And the world responded.
<Notice: Individual has acquired Unique Skill — Akashic Records.>
For a brief moment, countless streams of information flooded his consciousness.
A strange yet familiar awareness settled within his mind.
Instinctively, he understood the functions of his newly acquired skill.

A satisfied smile appeared on Sirzechs’ face.
His plan had succeeded perfectly.
Simply by arriving in the Cardinal World, he had already gained an extraordinary increase in strength and utility.
The decision to visit this world had proven more worthwhile than he had expected.
"Fuhahahaha! Truly excellent! Both of my companions possess remarkable talents!"
After the naming ceremony had concluded, Rimuru finally turned his attention toward Veldora.
Following Great Sage’s suggestion, he prepared to absorb the True Dragon and store him within his Stomach.
The process began immediately.
Veldora’s massive body along with the barrier was being swallowed by the slime.
Within moments, the Storm Dragon had vanished from the cave.
Only the Infinite Prison remained inside Rimuru, where Great Sage could begin analyzing it.
Before they departed, Sirzechs spoke up.
"Rimuru, once Great Sage finishes gathering information on the barrier, send a copy of the data to me."
The slime tilted his body curiously.
"Huh? Why?"
"Because the seal contains an incredible amount of information regarding space, dimensions, and high-level laws."
Sirzechs’ crimson eyes gleamed with interest.
"It may help me further develop some of my own abilities."
Rimuru immediately agreed.
"No problem! If Great Sage can copy the data, I’ll send everything over."
"Thank you."
With that matter settled, the two newly named monsters began making their way toward the outside world.
Neither of them realized that Veldora’s disappearance had already thrown the surrounding nations into complete chaos.
For centuries, the Storm Dragon had been a constant presence.
A terrifying force of nature whose existence shaped politics, borders, and military strategies across the continent.
And now—
He was gone.
The balance of power was beginning to shift.
Kingdoms would move.
Schemes would be set into motion.
Wars would be considered.
And for the first time in centuries, the world was unknowingly moving toward a future no one could predict.
A future that now contained both Rimuru Tempest...
And The Satan Lucifer.
