After a quick wash, Surtr lay down on the bed in the guest room.

The soft bedding wrapped around her body, and her tense muscles finally relaxed involuntarily.

everything that had happened in just a few short hours was far more thrilling than the experiences of her entire past life combined.

It was a miracle she could remain so calm even now.

Perhaps it was because her adaptability was quite strong.

Muttering to herself, Surtr opened the panel and clicked on the System Shop.

There was no need to explain the shop’s function; it was divided into a limited-time pool and a permanent pool.

The permanent pool only sold items from the current world, refreshing with every transmigration.

Surtr casually swiped up, and the dazzling array of goods made her a little dizzy.

Mainly because of the prices listed below them.

With only three hundred Primogems in hand, she could barely buy anything good.

The price of a B-rank Noble Phantasm, the red and yellow popsicles, was nearly a thousand Primogems.

Looking at it this way, that random world transmigration was already a dirt-cheap price.

“[After all, it is a built-in feature of the system.]”

The system popped up to chime in.

Shifting her gaze to the other side, the limited-time pool had only ten items and refreshed once a month.

Anything could appear there.

Judging by the prices, they seemed to be discounted, though she didn’t know if it was a genuine deal.

“[This system treats all customers with absolute honesty.]”

At least, that was what it claimed.

Glancing over, she could only say it was a mixed bag.

The item that attracted her the most was called ‘Surtr’s Potential Token’.

According to the description, it was used to improve abilities and potential, but the name was a bit too on-the-nose.

‘Are you sure this thing isn’t specifically meant to bait me?’

she asked in her mind.

“[The items in the shop will automatically manifest as things with similar effects within the host’s cognition. It has nothing to do with this system.]”

‘Alright.’

Surtr accepted this explanation.

After glancing at the price tag below, she decisively closed the panel, shut her eyes, and prepared to sleep.

Even with the discount, it still cost two thousand Primogems.

Who could afford that?

Anyway, she didn’t have any pressing need for enhancement right now.

Time to sleep.

Perhaps because everything that happened today had exhausted Surtr’s mind, before long, the sound of even breathing echoed in the room.

Then, Miss Surtr had another dream.

The story in the dream took place in an era when gods still walked the earth.

The protagonist was a beautiful young girl.

She was the princess of a kingdom, a disciple of the gods, and the darling of magecraft.

Showered with all kinds of affection, she probably would have lived happily forever if nothing unexpected had happened.

Until a magnificent ship sailed in from the sea.

Anger and hatred surged in Surtr’s heart upon seeing that ship and the figures aboard it.

The originally lighthearted atmosphere of the story took a sharp downturn, just like a magical girl anime suddenly turning dark and edgy.

Exile, betrayal, revenge…

until the witch engulfed everything in sight with the flames of vengeance.

When she opened her eyes again, the night had receded, and the morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains into the room.

Surtr raised her hand, rubbed her temples, and couldn’t help but speak.

“Seeing such a terrible thing on my very first night… it doesn’t seem like a good omen.”

“Even if it is the truth, don’t you think making such a comment right in front of the person themselves is a bit too rude?”

A charming female voice drifted over from beside her.

Surtr turned her head to the side and saw Medea lying on her stomach on the pillow.

Come to think of it, they had slept in the same room last night, though unfortunately in separate beds.

Medea had already taken off her long black robe.

Resting her head on her smooth arms, her elf-like pointed ears were exposed to the air, and her blue-purple eyes were staring straight at her.

She was wearing only a thin undergarment, and from Surtr’s angle, she could faintly see certain indescribable things being squeezed by the weight of her body.

Waking up to such a fine sight, it seemed her luck for the day would be quite good.

“Sorry.”

Silently averting her gaze, Surtr apologized honestly.

Even though it was unintentional, peeking into someone else’s memories was still not a very nice thing to do.

“But normally, someone wouldn’t know about this sort of thing, right?”

“After all, I am a Caster, so I noticed it more or less.”

Medea sat up slightly and drew closer to Surtr.

“So, Master, after seeing my past, don’t you have anything to say?”

“Say what? Did you want me to write a review?”

Surtr gave her a puzzled look.

“Not really…”

Her voice sounded a bit apprehensive; she probably didn’t even know what kind of answer she wanted.

“I already said it last night. No matter if you committed murder and arson or went around robbing people in the past, since you are my chosen Servant, I won’t look down on you.”

With that, Surtr rolled out of bed and reached up to remove the pillow caught on her horn.

Although she thought her new organ looked very cool, it was indeed a bit inconvenient; she had accidentally poked a hole in the pillow.

She really wondered how those big-horned Caprinae on Terra slept.

If she ever got the chance, maybe she could go and see for herself.

“If your phrasing were a bit better, I might have actually been a little touched.”

Medea’s eye twitched.

Even though her Master didn’t care about her past, for some reason, she just couldn’t bring herself to feel happy about it.

“Next time, for sure.”

After struggling to put on her dress, which had far too many unnecessary decorations, Surtr stood in front of the mirror, staring at the red-haired figure reflected in it, silently muttering to herself.

‘Damn, I’m gorgeous.’

It was a beauty that could rival her looks from her previous life.

After lingering in the room for a bit, Surtr took Medea outside and walked around Ryuudou Temple.

Under the influence of suggestion magic, the monks in the temple began packing up their things, embarking on a journey to the West to seek Buddhist scriptures.

This place would serve as their base from now on.

As a leyline node of Fuyuki, Ryuudou Temple was a rare spiritual land.

Constructing a territory here would be far more efficient and powerful than doing so elsewhere.

Furthermore, the greater grail’s spellcraft system was located in the Great Cavern beneath Mount Enzou, making it much more convenient to take action.

This place would eventually become a battlefield.

For the safety of the monks, it was best to ask them to leave.

Once a fight broke out, she might not be able to look after them.

With the monks taken care of, the next step was to find where the greater grail lay dormant.

Even though she knew the greater grail was in the Great Cavern, the exact entrance had been hidden, so it would still take some effort to find.

Medea volunteered for the task, though without any clues, it would probably take some time.

“Master, I have confirmed the location of the greater grail.”

Medea’s voice echoed in her mind through their contract.

“So fast? How long has it even been?”

Surtr made no attempt to hide her surprise; she recalled that it hadn’t even been half an hour since Medea stepped out.

“No, it’s precisely because they used magecraft to hide it that I was able to find traces of it.”

Medea said calmly.

When an orange suddenly appears in a pile of apples, it is hard not to notice it.

If they had simply blocked the path with rocks, she might have had to spend a bit more effort.
