The Primordial Bloodline.
Kael’s pulse spiked the instant the words registered.
He knew exactly what that relic was. He’d bled for it in his last life clawed it out of a warzone past the edge of known territory, paid for it in scars he’d carried until the day he died.
It was the reason he’d finally broken with Ironclad’s guild for good. The reason for the fight that ended everything.
Back then, he’d tried to use it. Poured everything he had into refining that single drop of blood in a desperate bid to change his fate.
Nothing happened.
Now it was fusing into him before he’d even finished loading into the tutorial hall.So this is what it actually does.
He forced himself to breathe through the shock. Hidden classes in Ascension weren’t just rare they were myth-tier. One in a hundred thousand players, if that.
Every single one of them became a name people whispered. And beyond the class itself, there was talent grade.
S-grade sat at the top of what anyone had ever seen and even that had only shown up a handful of times across the entire playerbase, ever.
Kael’s own talent, last time around, had been B-grade. Respectable. Not remarkable.
It had cost him years of grinding just to fight his way into the world top ten against people who’d been born with a head start he never had.
If this life gave him a hidden class and a talent that actually matched it stacked on top of everything he already knew from having lived this exact timeline once
He didn’t let himself finish the thought.
Didn’t want to jinx it.
And this was just 1% integration. Whatever came at higher percentages, he didn’t even want to guess.
The mechanical voice cut back in, flat and toneless:"First login detected. Choose a character name."
Kael hesitated.
His old gamertag the one that had made him a household name on every leaderboard that mattered wasn’t an option.
Using it now would be like wearing a name tag with his real identity stapled to the back.
He was done being predictable. Done being controlled.
Better to burn the world down than let it burn me again. He typed without blinking.Unrivaled.
"Name confirmed. Choose your class."
Seven towering pillars of light dropped from the ceiling in unison, each one framing the ghostly silhouette of a god.
A War God in blackened gold armor, longsword resting on one shoulder.
A Mage crackling with barely-contained flame.
An Assassin folded into shadow, twin blades catching no light at all.
An Archer. A Priest. A Summoner.
And at the far end a Beastmaster, wreathed in the shifting silhouettes of a dozen different creatures.
Seven paths. One choice.
Last life, Kael had gone Warrior. He’d mastered it knew its ceilings and its floors better than almost anyone alive.
If he picked it again now, he could probably solo his way to the top of the regional rankings on muscle memory alone.
But that was exactly the problem. He knew its ceiling. He’d already hit it once.
If he wanted something with no visible limit, there was only one real answer.
Every other class scaled linearly get stronger, hit harder, that was the whole story.
A Beastlord who reached the endgame commanded an entire army in a single body.
Summoners came close, throwing bodies at problems, but random summons were a coin flip. A properly cultivated beast wasn’t.
And Kael wasn’t planning to join another guild. Not this life. Which meant every hard-mode dungeon requiring five different roles working in sync was a wall unless he could be all five roles by himself.
There was a rumor about a Beastlord ability that let the user fuse with a bonded creature, borrowing its stats and skills wholesale. Master that, and a single Beastlord could shapeshift through every archetype in the game.
The catch: raising a beast army ate resources most players couldn’t afford in ten lifetimes.
Kael almost laughed.
He had a bloodline that handed him a hidden class and top-tier talent for free.
Resources were the least of his problems.
He walked straight into the Beastlord’s pillar of light without a second thought.
Gold flooded over him.
"Hidden class acquired: Beastlord."
"Talent awakened Grade: SSS. Boundless Evolution."
"Starter companion bonded Grade: Iron. Ravenous Husk."
[BEASTLORD]
[Passive I Establish a bond with any eligible target.]
[Passive II All companions gain +50% to every base stat.]
[Passive III All companions require 50% less experience to level.]
[Starter Skill Bond: Chance to tame a target as a companion. Odds scale with target level and condition. Costs 10% max mana. 10s cooldown.]
A hidden class. With three full passives.
Kael stared at the panel, breath caught somewhere in his throat.
Most hidden classes came with exactly one passive and even that single perk was usually enough to make an ordinary class player seethe with envy for months.
He had three. All of them load-bearing.
He barely dared to check the talent screen next. In his last life, across billions of players worldwide, only a literal handful had ever cracked S-grade and most of that short list had died proving it. Nobody, not once, had gone higher.
SSS sat two full tiers above that.
The panel resolved in front of him.
[BOUNDLESS EVOLUTION]
Grade: SSS
Effect: Spend Evolution Points to raise a companion’s bloodline tier or skill rank. (Killing monsters has a chance to drop Evolution Points.)
Current Evolution Points: 0
