As expected, this promotion sparked a shopping frenzy.
Chen Xi went all out, even putting up the storage rings she had drawn earlier as prizes.
These storage rings had originally been created from a Space Stone she obtained through check-ins. Chen Xi had the system craft them into twenty storage rings, each with a 10×10×3 cubic meter space that remained static inside. She offered all of them as rewards.
Of course, she estimated that not many people would have more than 10,000 crystal cores in hand.
Most of the food stored in the rings had already been sold, and she emptied the rest too. She even bought additional food, drinks, and supplies from the system to include as prizes.
Because the prizes were generous, everyone stocked up on something.
The biggest buyers were, naturally, the powerful superhumans. Those who killed more zombies usually had more crystal cores.
Even the smallest buyers spent 100 crystal cores to get a training hall experience voucher.
Curious about the storage rings, many asked questions, so Chen Xi had the system add usage instructions and even had Lin Man demonstrate one for everyone.
Sure enough, the storage rings were the most popular. But most people didn’t have enough crystal cores, and the event only lasted three days, so there wasn’t time to kill zombies to earn more.
Chen Xi anticipated this and allowed group purchases—up to ten people per team.
Soon, the rings were completely sold out and still insufficient. Fortunately, after the hotel upgraded, the system’s mall upgraded too, now offering space rings, space bracelets, and space necklaces.
Chen Xi bought ten more from the mall as prizes, each costing 999 crystal cores.
After the event, the system itself leveled up three times, giving Chen Xi time to check the hotel control panel:

Description: Within the hotel, the host has absolute control and is immune to all harm.
Next Level (LV.10) requires revenue of 500,000 Crystal Cores
Wow. Not only did it level up three times at once, but the next level was almost reached.
All traditional checkout counters had been removed and replaced with a smart checkout system. Guests now recharge their room cards and swipe them to access rooms, with the system automatically deducting fees. Each floor requires a swipe, increasing security and privacy.
The hotel now had thirty floors: floors 2–20 for single and double rooms, floors 21–30 entirely suites—truly a super-large hotel.
Previously, ten self-service vending machines were all on the first-floor lobby. Now, each floor had one, so guests didn’t have to go downstairs to buy things.
A self-service supermarket had been added next to the restaurant. Like a pre-apocalypse supermarket, guests could take a shopping basket and choose their items—a much better experience than the vending machines.
The restaurant was upgraded to three floors with more counters.
The training hall expanded massively. Originally, it only held twenty people on one floor. Now it had five floors, accommodating a total of 100 people. No more daily queues!
The treatment room had become a small hospital, also five floors high, with departments like a proper hospital. For the apocalypse, a zombie-virus research lab was established on the second floor.
Chen Xi thought this could be a good opportunity to tell the female lead, seeing if she would use her Spirit Spring to assist with research.
The training hall was fully automated, requiring no staff, but the restaurant needed chefs, the hospital required medical staff, and the zombie-virus lab needed professional researchers.
Chen Xi planned to inform Lin Man to help recruit professionals. Ever since the hotel’s checkout system became fully automated, Lin Man’s task shifted to managing daily operations—staff scheduling, hotel security, etc.
Now, Chen Xi’s only job was occasionally killing zombies and upgrading the system—mostly just relaxing.
“Host, there’s more good news!”
“The mall has unlocked [Vehicles] and [Residential Buildings] facilities.”
Chen Xi clicked to check. Wow—large buses, ships, and even airplanes were available.
As for residential buildings—they were essentially pre-apocalypse apartments, but much cheaper than the hotel! A far better deal than staying in the hotel.
