“What’s wrong?” Arthos asked.

“It’s the United States government…the Department of War.” Wain announced in shock.

“Actually, it’s General Mercer, the Joint Chiefs of Staff.Full novel: Avalor Legacy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He is behind this operation and the assassination attempt against Princess Elencia.” Neva clarified.

Percy and Murai disappeared and reappeared in a blink of an eye standing next to Neva and Wain.

They looked down at the computer screen.

“Are you sure?

Why would the U.S.

government want the Princess dead?” Percy asked.

“Show me.” Murai said.

For the next ten minutes, Wain explained to the group the files saved onto the central computer.

The files detailed plans for the U.S.

military to infiltrate Avalor as new players.

Over the past two years, they had sent 10,000 soldiers to Avalor and secretly built bases and observation posts throughout the continent.

In addition, the files contained detailed plans for building a village code-named “Dawn” along with detailed information on the Kingdom of Camarax, the King, and Princess.

“They were watching the Princess for a long time.” Percy said irritated.

“Not only the Princess…there are files here on all of us.

They have been watching all of us for the last year.” Wain added.

“Why?” Kristan asked slightly afraid of the implications.

“Control.

The general has been making big moves not just here in Avalor, but earth as well.

His aim is to take control of this planet and its resources.” Murai answered.

She continued, “unfortunately, we can’t stay here for much longer.

The military has likely sent a battalion of soldiers to investigate this bunker.

We need to move.

I kept my end of the bargain; I led you to information regarding the Princess and who is after her life…this is where we part ways…until next time.” You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.

Murai and her ten assassins disappeared like a whisper in the wind.

“We better move out too.” Arthos commanded to his party.

“Wait, can we take the War-Frame?

I think I can fix it.” Wain asked like a child asking his parents for a new toy.

“We don’t have time for that.

Murai and her team set explosives all around this facility.

This place will blow in less than 10 minutes.” Percy said with urgency.

“Oh man…I really wanted it.

Ok, let’s go.” Wain said in disappointment.

[AVALOR – PRIVATE RESIDENCE]

[That Same Night]

The room was dimly lit and quiet, except for the slow and synchronized rhythm of their breathing.

The city below hummed softly as most players logged out for the night, leaving behind a fraction of the normal population.

The dim lighting created long dim stripes across the tangled bed sheets.

Murai laid naked on her side curled next to a man, her large breasts pressed against his side.

Thin bedsheets covered her voluptuous figure.

The air in the room was heavy and warm, smelling faintly like citrus and candle wax…it lingered with the warmth of their passion and closeness.

The man traced idle, lazy patterns on Murai’s bare shoulder as he felt her chest rise and fall with her heavy breathing.

She let out a long, content sigh and half-laugh, as she wrapped her arms and legs around him.

Her hair was a disheveled crown on the pillow and her skin still radiated intense heat from their union.

She loved him…and she loved the quiet hours they spent together like this…she loved the sense of stillness; the rare and quiet moments were the rest of the world ceased to exist.

In these moments, she was no longer a master assassin or a billionaire heiress…she was simply a woman in love and being loved by a man.

She lifted her hand and placed it flatly against his lean yet muscular chest, feeling it steady and calm under her palm.

It always amazed her how despite their mutual vigorous exertion together, his breath hardly ever changed…it was a testament to his immense strength and stamina as a warrior. Enjoying the story? Read on at novelping dot com.

“You’re very quiet,” Murai murmured as she picked up her head and pressed a light kiss on his chin.

Her voice was thick with exhaustion and deep satisfaction.

“Just thinking,” he whispered back.

He turned his body to face her directly, the two interlocked their arms and legs around each other as he softly traced kisses along her neck.

He asked, “tell me again, what did you find down there.”

She laughed softly in response to his tender kisses and replied, “it was just as you predicted.

General Mercer built an underground base…he was mass producing T-100s.

The fool left a treasure trove of files behind.

I will send you a copy in the morning.”

He replied calmly, “I see…very nicely done.

Thank you again for handling this mission for me.

What about the second thing?

What did you observe.”

Murai paused as she thought how to best explain what she witnessed in the bunker.

She replied, “he…he is…he is far more than what we expected.

His strength and power are far beyond what we imagined…he is probably stronger than you.”

The man let out a satisfied laugh, clearly overjoyed by the news.

He said, “I need you to help me with one more mission…I’m positive General Mercer has another base hidden.

Help me find it.”

Murai let out an irritated groan.

She said, “enough with the work talk…I have you all to myself tonight and I want to enjoy this.”

He man picked up her chin gently and pressed a passionate kiss on her lips.

He asked, “I want to see you in person, will you be in the States anytime soon?”

“In a month or so,” she replied in a jagged giggle as he repositioned himself on top of her.
