Ji Feng returned to his apartment and took a shower first.

Bare-chested, he rubbed a towel over his damp hair. Water ran down the firm lines of his cheek to his jaw as he looked at the photos he’d secretly taken that day and let out a soft laugh.

So shy, yet she’d done a convincing job of pretending not to know him.Full novel: Baby, Be Good—Kiss Me Yourself — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Ji Feng thought she’d only acted like they were strangers because she was worried her boyfriend might find out. He didn’t mind.

She could just break up with her boyfriend after she got together with him.

He lay down and looked at the photos on his phone again and again. He also remembered the tempting scent that had lingered as she passed by him.

“Fuck, when am I finally going to get to kiss her?”

Meanwhile, in a dorm room, a woman stared at the chat messages on her screen, her hands trembling.

Shit, shit, shit…

How could she be so unlucky? She’d used her roommate’s photos for an online relationship, only to end up dating someone who went to the same university?

She’d never dared to reveal where she was. She only sent photos and typed messages.

When she’d mailed him things before, the address had been in a city seven or eight hundred kilometers away.

She’d only thought it would be thrilling—a bit of fun, nothing more.

She hadn’t expected him to send her a whole lot of money after seeing Jiang Wangsheng’s photos.

Once she’d gotten a taste of that, she couldn’t bring herself to stop.

A few days ago, when she bought him a little gift and saw that the address had changed to the same city, she’d been terrified. But he’d clearly said he was only visiting!

And today, he’d even gone to meet Jiang Wangsheng…

Panicked, the woman hurriedly scrolled through their chat history, checking whether she’d let anything slip.

But from the looks of it, he and Jiang Wangsheng hadn’t said much, and she herself hadn’t given anything away.

Otherwise, Ji Feng wouldn’t have messaged her.

It looked like she’d have to end this online relationship as soon as possible.

Ji Feng spotted the package by the door, picked it up, and opened it.

Inside was a cute cartoon keychain.

He didn’t have to think twice about who had sent it. Not many people knew where he lived.

And the only person who’d give him something like this was his adorable girlfriend.

He held it up and swung it around, putting on a smug face. “You say you don’t know me, but then you go and send me a gift.”

He took a photo, opened WeChat, and sent it to her.

【Baby, I got it. I love it.】

She replied almost instantly: 【Mm-hmm, I’m glad you like it.】

Ji Feng dried his hair, playing happily with the keychain in his hand.

By accident, the little figure’s head came off.

Ji Feng stared at the body on the floor: …

Was the budget for Baby’s gift really that low…? She could at least have bought one with better quality.

But then he thought of the Tiffany necklace around her neck, the Bulgari bracelet on her wrist, and the long dress she wore—the label was impossible to make out, but the quality was clearly excellent. He let out a breath.

It was only right that Baby treated herself well. At least he wasn’t wasting all his money.

He got dressed and put the little figure back together.

The next day, as he headed out to class, Ji Feng decided not to go out of his way to find her. She needed some time to calm down.

But he ran into her on his way out of class.

Ji Feng stepped toward her. “I don’t think you’ve told me what department you’re in yet.”

He’d only found out a few days ago that she went to his university, and he hadn’t asked her before.

Jiang Wangsheng followed the sound of his voice and saw that it was that Hedgehog Head again!

Her expression immediately went blank. She didn’t want to have anything to do with him.

When Ji Feng saw her trying to leave, he reached out and grabbed her hand.

Jiang Wangsheng reacted strongly and slapped his hand away at once.

Then she left with the stream of students coming out of class.

Ji Feng didn’t chase after her. For one thing, there were too many people around. For another… if she wanted to play, he’d play along.

In her haste, Jiang Wangsheng completely missed Xie Lan waiting at the school gate.

He waved to her, but she didn’t even glance his way. She headed straight for the bus stop, apparently planning to take the bus home.

Xie Lan raised an eyebrow. How could she not notice her husband, right here in front of her?

He hurried after her and caught her by the arm.

“I don’t know you. Stop bothering me…”

Only after she’d said it did she realize the person behind her wasn’t that Hedgehog Head, Ji Feng, but Xie Lan.

Jiang Wangsheng was instantly embarrassed. When she saw the confusion and shadow in his eyes, she began to stammer.

“I… I…”

“Who’s bothering you?” Xie Lan took the bag from her hand and drew her into his arms.

The woman in his arms swallowed. “Just someone. He mistook me for somebody else. It’s nothing.”

“Who? A man or a woman?”

She stiffened her neck slightly. “A woman.”

“She’s mistaken me for someone else several times. That’s why I said that just now.”

“Oh?” His voice lifted slightly, though it was low.

“Let’s not talk about it. I’m so tired.” Jiang Wangsheng leaned against him. “Let’s go home.”

Xie Lan’s brow twitched, and he lowered his eyes gently.

“Okay. Let’s go home.”

Before picking her up, Xie Lan had already bought groceries.

When Jiang Wangsheng got home, she took a shower early. Mengmeng had said they were going to play a game together that evening.

Xie Lan had bought her lots of pajamas. Most were cute, and a few were silk slip dresses with thin straps. They were comfortable, too.

But she didn’t much like wearing those dresses.

It wasn’t that they were uncomfortable. It was just that whenever she wore one, the man loved holding her close, kissing and touching her, saying things that made her blush, while his hands were anything but well-behaved.

After a while, Jiang Wangsheng stopped daring to wear them.

She put on long-sleeved, long-legged pajamas, turned on the air conditioner, and slipped under the covers.

When she entered the game lobby, Mengmeng was already waiting, and Lin Yun was there too.

Their voices came through the game, and Jiang Wangsheng scrambled to find her headphones.

Xie Lan was still cooking. She couldn’t let him hear them, or she wouldn’t be able to play.

“I’m here.” She lowered her voice. The kitchen wasn’t far from the bedroom, and she was afraid he’d hear.

Zhuang Mengmeng thought her voice sounded strange. “Babe, why are you whispering? Is someone else home?”

Jiang Wangsheng pressed her lips together before answering, “Mm.”

The two of them understood right away.

They weren’t happy about it, but they still wanted to play.

“Let’s just play one round first.”

Lin Yun didn’t say much, while Zhuang Mengmeng chattered away.

“Shengsheng, our lab’s going camping next week. We can bring friends, so why don’t you two come?”

She thought it over. As far as she could remember, she didn’t have anything special going on next week, so she agreed at once. “Sure.”

Lin Yun heard that voice, sweet enough to melt him to the bone. As soon as Shengsheng finished speaking, he immediately said, “Sure.”

Jiang Wangsheng took a while to warm up, and Lin Yun was reserved, so out of the three of them, Zhuang Mengmeng was always the one who got the conversation going.

Before long, Jiang Wangsheng forgot her nervousness about Xie Lan finding out and was laughing and chatting with them.

After Xie Lan finished cooking, he walked to the bedroom door and heard laughter from inside.

He suddenly felt his body tense.

Who was Baby chatting with?

He pushed open the door and saw the woman curled up under the covers, only her fluffy head showing.

Her long hair spread across the bedsheet, and the screen cast a faint glow over her pale, tender face.

She was chatting happily and didn’t notice the man standing in the doorway.

Not until she called out Lin Yun’s name.

Xie Lan hadn’t meant to disturb her.

But she was actually… chatting and gaming with another man while he was cooking?!

The man wore nothing but a pair of shorts; otherwise, he was practically naked.

He strode over to her, and only then did the woman slowly look up.

Xie Lan’s lips curved slightly, but there wasn’t the slightest trace of a smile in his eyes.

He took her phone. The game was almost over anyway.

He muted the microphone. He’d handle the rest.

Watching her play, Zhuang Mengmeng exclaimed, “Babe, that was amazing!”

Lin Yun chimed in right after her. “Yeah, Shengsheng, you’re really good.”

Xie Lan gave her a casual glance. Jiang Wangsheng felt the spot his eyes had touched grow heavy.

When the game ended, he ignored the two of them and closed it.

Jiang Wangsheng quietly clutched the covers tighter and didn’t dare look at him.

Why did he have to walk around without any clothes on? That was just…

So uncivilized!

“Baby, sneaking off to play a game with another man behind your husband’s back, hmm?”

Jiang Wangsheng pulled the covers higher, hiding her slender nose. Her voice muffled, she said, “Mengmeng was there too…”

There was a rustle as he pulled the covers away, and Jiang Wangsheng found herself pinned beneath him.

She was wearing long sleeves and long pants, but the man was naked.

He deliberately pressed himself firmly against a certain spot, his voice husky.

“Then how about we skip dinner for now and play a game together—just you and your husband?”
