After dinner, Lu Bingxun carried Cheng Min back to the room, gave him a few reminders, and then left. With nothing to do, Cheng Min curled up on the small sofa, just like yesterday, staring blankly out the window.

There was a tree not far outside the window, and Cheng Min counted the jade-green leaves on it back and forth until a knock on the door brought him back to reality. He realized that he had unknowingly sat there all morning.

Another knock on the door sounded.

This was Lu Bingxun’s room, and he didn’t need to knock to enter. So, the person standing outside the door must be someone else from the camp.

Cheng Min stood up, buttoned up the shirt that had somehow come undone, tidied his clothes, and picked up the blanket draped over the sofa to cover himself.

There was no choice; Lu Bingxun was too old-fashioned and didn’t like anyone else seeing Cheng Min’s body.

After making sure everything was in order, Cheng Min said, “Come in.”

“Are you the leader’s wife?” a soft voice asked.

Cheng Min turned his head and saw a delicate-looking boy with brown curly hair standing at the door, holding some snacks in his arms.

He blinked his dark eyes, his curious gaze falling on Cheng Min. “So pretty.”

Having already compromised and chosen to live with Lu Bingxun, Cheng Min naturally answered, “Yes.”

After closing the door, the boy ran over, leaned in front of Cheng Min, and asked with a smile, “I heard you’re from the First District. What’s it like there? Is it fun?”

“It’s okay.” Cheng Min thought carefully and replied, “It’s similar to the Third District.”

The boy seemed to have opened a floodgate of questions, asking Cheng Min non-stop while pushing the snacks he brought towards Cheng Min, inviting him to eat together.

Having grown up as a noble elf, Cheng Min had dietary requirements, strictly following the nutritionist’s prescribed intake.

This was the first time Cheng Min had seen such things, and his eyes couldn’t help but show some curiosity.

“You’ve never had potato chips?” the boy asked, a bit surprised.

Cheng Min shook his head, honestly.

“That’s so sad.” With that, he tore open a bag of potato chips and handed it to Cheng Min. “Do you want to try? Cucumber-flavored chips are really delicious.”

Cheng Min nodded, took a chip from the bag, and put it in his mouth under the boy’s watchful gaze.

The unique taste made him like it.

Curled up on the small sofa, holding a bag of chips, the two chatted while eating, no longer feeling the awkwardness of their first meeting.

Gradually, the boy started talking about some interesting things happening in the camp, and Cheng Min’s gaze frequently drifted to the window, full of longing.

“The weather is great today.” Sensing Cheng Min’s thoughts, the boy with almond-shaped eyes suddenly changed the topic and said with a smile, “Do you want to go for a walk with me?”

The humans in the camp didn’t like him, except for Lu Bingxun, who had told him so. After what happened that day, Cheng Min firmly believed it.

The outside was nice, but he wasn’t suited to go out. He just needed to stay in the room, waiting for Lu Bingxun to finish his work and come back to accompany him.

He intended to refuse, but thinking about having a human companion, Cheng Min agreed.

“Okay.” Cheng Min stood up and walked to the wardrobe. “Wait a moment, I’ll change my clothes.”

Since Cheng Min moved in, the room had visibly filled with more things: the white throw pillows on the bed, the small sofa by the window, and the carpet laid out to keep Cheng Min from catching a cold.

Lu Bingxun really cared about his little wife.

Even the clothes were various styles Cheng Min wore when he was still a young master, filling the wardrobe to the brim.

Cheng Min casually changed into some casual wear, buttoned up in front of the mirror, and then, under the guidance of the boy with almond-shaped eyes, walked out of the villa.

The camp was large, and Cheng Min followed closely behind the boy with almond-shaped eyes to avoid getting lost.

This was his second time going out. Last time, it was too early, and everyone was asleep, so he didn’t see a single person. But now, it was morning, and they encountered many different people along the way.

Cheng Min was a bit face-blind, feeling like they all looked similar.

As they walked, they passed an open space where a few human children were squatting and playing with sand. Cheng Min glanced at them and quickly looked away.

At this moment, the boy with almond-shaped eyes shouted and quickly ran in a direction, leaving a message for Cheng Min to wait there.

Cheng Min obediently agreed, then found a bench to sit on, his gaze once again falling on the children not far away.

“Are you the little thing Lu brought?” a voice sounded in his ear, full of mockery. “You do look pretty.”

Cheng Min withdrew his gaze and turned to look.

The man had well-defined features, a buzz cut, and stood in front of him with a malicious smile. “Does he really let you out?”

He was referring to Lu Bingxun.

“What does that have to do with you?” Cheng Min frowned, his tone a bit displeased. “Get lost.”

The man raised an eyebrow, not taking Cheng Min’s words to heart, and continued, “A weak little thing like you should be lying in bed waiting for Lu, not running around dressed so nicely to seduce people. Isn’t one enough for you?”

As he spoke, a few more people approached, stopping not far away, whispering about Cheng Min with malicious words like shameless… seducing… slut.

Cheng Min hung his head, fists clenched, nails almost digging into his flesh.

“Why is everyone gathered here?” a familiar voice sounded—it was Lu Bingxun.

Cheng Min quickly looked up to see Lu Bingxun with a dark expression, striding over and stopping in front of him. “Wife, why did you run out here?”

At this moment, Lu Bingxun seemed like a savior in his eyes. Cheng Min’s nose tingled, and tears welled up as he burrowed into the man’s embrace, pitifully saying, “Take me back.”

“Okay.” Lu Bingxun picked him up.

All the way back, Cheng Min cried non-stop, and no matter how much Lu Bingxun tried to comfort him, it was to no avail.

“Wife.” Lu Bingxun placed him on the bed and gently asked, “What exactly happened? Tell me.”

“Those humans…” He was still crying, his words unclear.

“Take your time, don’t rush.” The man held him tightly again, wiping away his tears and soothing him. “I’m here.”

Cheng Min sobbed, nestled in Lu Bingxun’s arms, and exaggeratedly recounted the whole incident.

In the end, after listening to the entire story, Lu Bingxun said, “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”

Cheng Min took the tissue Lu Bingxun handed him, wiped his tears, and softly asked, “Husband, can you make them leave? I never want to see them again.”

“Okay.” Lu Bingxun said with a smile, “I’ll do whatever my wife says.”

After resolving this matter, Lu Bingxun didn’t leave. He held Cheng Min and continued talking about other things.

“By the way, wife.” Lu Bingxun rubbed Cheng Min’s ankle and said, “If you’re really bored, you can take a walk in the yard next time.”

“No.” Cheng Min leaned his head on Lu Bingxun’s shoulder, his tone full of dissatisfaction. “They’ll still see me.”

“It’s okay.” Lu Bingxun continued, “They won’t dare to come in.”

“Still not going.” Cheng Min said, lifting his head to look at Lu Bingxun. “You told me before that most of the humans in the camp don’t like me.”

“Yes.” Lu Bingxun rubbed his head and asked, “So what do you plan to do?”

Cheng Min obediently nodded, “I won’t go out anymore.”

“Hmm?” Lu Bingxun pressed, “Won’t you get bored staying in the room all by yourself?”

There were no entertainment facilities in the room, and the only thing Cheng Min could do to pass the time was to curl up on the small sofa by the window and daydream.

He thought for a moment and said, “I won’t be bored. I’ll stay in the room and wait for you. If you miss me, I can come find you.” He paused and continued in a negotiating tone, “Is that okay?”

“Maybe.” Lu Bingxun showed a troubled expression, seemingly worried about something. “If you’re well-behaved and don’t make a fuss.”

Cheng Min didn’t want to give up this rare opportunity to pass the time, so he grabbed one of Lu Bingxun’s arms and eagerly said, “I’ll be good, just sitting quietly beside you.”

Lu Bingxun sighed, “But there’s no extra seat for you.”

Cheng Min understood what Lu Bingxun meant, knowing his mischievous side was showing. To gain more freedom within the range, he had to lower himself, lean in, and kiss the man’s Adam’s apple, coquettishly saying, “I can sit on your lap, or even under the chair.”

“Are you sure?” Lu Bingxun’s thumb rubbed against his lips. “You’re so delicate, can you handle it?”

Cheng Min nodded, “I can handle it, I’ll get used to it.”

“Alright.” Lu Bingxun finally agreed, “Then I’ll grant my good wife’s wish.”

Lu Bingxun’s study was large, with a carpet on the floor. Cheng Min was carried in and placed on the ground, while Lu Bingxun went to work.

Cheng Min got up, looked around, and finally set his gaze on Lu Bingxun not far away, then walked over.

The next second, he was picked up by Lu Bingxun, like a delicate little doll, focusing on accompanying his husband at work and relieving his fatigue.

“Uncomfortable.” Cheng Min frowned, squirming in Lu Bingxun’s arms. “Let me down.”

“Don’t move.” Lu Bingxun put down his pen, patted Cheng Min’s butt, and said in a stern tone, “Stay still, or I’ll kick you out.”

Having finally gotten in to accompany Lu Bingxun, he didn’t want to leave in disgrace.

“No.” Cheng Min shook his head and quickly said, “I’ll behave.”

“Okay.”

Cheng Min obediently nestled in Lu Bingxun’s arms, the content on the paper in front of him was obscure and difficult to understand, beyond his knowledge.

Before long, he was yawning, feeling sleepy.

As a domesticated weakling, Cheng Min didn’t wrong himself, sleeping when he wanted, focusing on just being there.

“Wife.” Cheng Min felt someone touching him, and he groggily opened his eyes to find it was Lu Bingxun. He had finished his work, and they were sitting on the sofa.

“Are you hungry?” Lu Bingxun rubbed his stomach and asked.

Not mentioning it was fine, but once mentioned, Cheng Min felt his stomach growling, so hungry that his vision went black.

A creamy strawberry scent wafted over.

His gaze fell on the table in front of him, where a plate of delicate strawberry cakes was placed, surrounded by some fruits Cheng Min had never seen before.

They looked quite good, and Cheng Min swallowed.

“Hungry.”

“Open your mouth.” Lu Bingxun picked up the cake, took a small piece, and brought it to Cheng Min’s mouth.

Cheng Min obediently opened his mouth and ate it. When his gaze fell on Lu Bingxun’s hand, he found it amusing.

“Is it good?” Lu Bingxun paused and continued, “Is it sour?”

Cheng Min shook his head, swallowing the cake in his mouth. “It’s very sweet.”

“That’s good.”

“Husband, do you want to try?” Cheng Min asked, trying to please. “It’s very sweet.”

To have more delicious cake, pleasing the man was essential. As a pretty weakling, Cheng Min had come to this realization.

Make the husband happy, and he’ll spoil you to the heavens.

“Yes.” As he spoke, Lu Bingxun’s hand slipped, and the cake fell onto Cheng Min, ruining his new clothes.

Cheng Min frowned, “I really liked this outfit.”

“It’s okay.” He kissed Cheng Min, not minding eating the now dirty cake. “Husband will buy you a new one.”

“Is it good?” Cheng Min asked, a bit embarrassed.

Hearing this, Lu Bingxun looked up, licking the cream from his lips, a strange light flashing in his eyes. “It tastes like my wife.”

Cheng Min turned his head away, not looking at him anymore.

Not satisfied with eating alone, Lu Bingxun dipped some cream and brought it to Cheng Min’s mouth, indicating for him to eat it. “It’s very sweet, try it.”

Cheng Min frowned, not having such a peculiar taste, and tried to refuse coquettishly, “Husband, I’m full, I can’t eat anymore.”

“Be good.” Lu Bingxun insisted, “Just one bite.”

Cheng Min had no choice but to blush and eat the cream.
