When i posted the last chapter i these two complaints very much:
1.) About another no change story following the cannon even when a lot should change due to baelon being born
2.) Author is just trying to continue the story and not showing baelon’s POV at all just again following the cannon and very boring

Why would Corlys urge the King to marry when he already has one?
Besides, the “Blacks vs.
Greens” plotline simply cannot happen here—he isn’t Rhaenyra, after all; no one would support that.
J.A.T : I can understand why in cannon Viserys married Alicent which was because in a moment of inebriation he Dishonored her and then got married to her out of chivalry or whatever.
Why though is he getting married to her here, there is literally no good reason other than to advance the plot.

I’m writing this because I also wanted to improve.
Honestly speaking, out of all three of my fanfics, this is the one I’m the most invested in.

While I’m here, I’ll explain the reasons behind what’s going on right now:
1.) Right now we are in the very early phase of Baelon’s life were he basically cant change much rather than his diapers
2.) Why are there so many different POVs while Baelon is rarely seen?
I do try to include him in every chapter, but the thing is, if I skip events like the births of Aegon or Aemond and then, 30 chapters later, suddenly mention that Aemond claimed Vhagar, I don’t expect readers to just think, “Yeah, of course Aemond would have been born, just like in the show.”
I’m trying to keep these events as short as possible.
Later on, you’ll see chapters like “The Banishment,” which are mostly based on the canon events, but I’ve condensed those events into a single chapter that acts more like a summary.
I’ve also mixed timelines and events from both the books and the show, while moving some events around.
Because of that, there are things readers wouldn’t understand if I jumped straight to Baelon being 15 years old.
The story follows the events step by step, and that’s my approach to world-building and what i know.
As Baelon grows older, becomes more active, I’m planning to keep the story mostly from Baelon’s POV, since he also doesn’t know everything that’s happening in the world of HOTD.
