Everyone was absorbed in their own business, and the restaurant was lively and bustling.

Just then, with a loud clang, the restaurant doors suddenly slammed shut.

Immediately afterward, the lights snapped off all at once, plunging the entire restaurant into darkness.Full novel: Be Ash Ketchum: The Very Best — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“What’s going on?” the passengers aboard the ship asked in confusion.

While everyone was still bewildered, a spotlight suddenly lit up, illuminating the center of the restaurant.

“Since you asked so sincerely!”

“We’ll be merciful and tell you!”

“To prevent the world from being destroyed!”

“To protect the peace of the world!”

“To carry out the evil of love and truth!”

“The lovely, charming villains!”

“Jessie!”

“James!”

“We are Team Rocket, traveling across the galaxy!”

“A white hole!

A white tomorrow is waiting for us!”

“That’s right, meow~!”

Along with those familiar and exaggerated classic lines, the Team Rocket trio appeared before everyone, accompanied by a large group of Team Rocket members.

They wore their iconic black uniforms, smug smiles on their faces, as if victory was already in their grasp.

Faced with Team Rocket’s arrogant threat, the atmosphere in the restaurant instantly became tense.

The passengers’ cries of alarm mixed with the uneasy calls of their Pokémon.

Ash shouted without hesitation, “Pikachu, Thunderbolt!”

“Pika—chu!”

Receiving the command, Pikachu’s fur instantly stood on end.

Electricity crackled around its small body, the sharp sound of current clearly audible.

Bolts of lightning shot toward the Team Rocket members.

Team Rocket had not expected Ash to attack so decisively and immediately fell into panic.

Jessie’s eyes widened as she shrieked, “Dodge!”

She, James, and Meowth quickly leapt aside.

The other Team Rocket members were not so lucky.

Some failed to dodge in time and were struck directly by the electricity, screaming as they collapsed to the floor one after another.

“Damn it, that little brat!” Jessie said through gritted teeth.

“Everyone, don’t be afraid!

Send out your Pokémon and teach them a lesson!” Ash shouted to the surrounding passengers while commanding Pikachu.

Misty and Brock quickly reacted as well and sent out their own Pokémon.

“Milotic, use Hydro Pump!” Misty shouted.

“Geodude, Mega Punch!” Brock ordered loudly.

Under Ash and the others’ lead, the passengers also sent out their Pokémon and launched an intense battle against Team Rocket.

For a while, Pokémon moves flew everywhere inside the restaurant.

Shouts and Pokémon cries rang out one after another.

Facing such fierce resistance, the Team Rocket members had no choice but to abandon their plan to steal Pokémon.

They fled in panic, clutching their heads as they rushed toward the restaurant doors.

Misty let out a breath of relief and said, “We finally drove them off.

Seriously, those people always love causing trouble.”

Brock smiled and said, “Yes, but everyone was brave.

By working together, we defeated them.”

The surrounding passengers cheered, celebrating the victory.

Their Pokémon also cried happily.

Just as Team Rocket was beaten into retreat and everyone was still immersed in the joy of victory, the previously calm sea suddenly began to churn.

The sky was quickly covered by dark clouds, and fierce winds began to howl, making the S.S.

Anne rock violently.

“Not good.

A storm is coming!” Ash sensed the danger and shouted.

His voice sounded somewhat weak in the raging wind, but it still caught everyone’s attention.

The passengers’ faces instantly filled with fear, and the joy of defeating Team Rocket vanished completely.

“Quick, find the lifeboats!”

Everyone rushed toward the lifeboats in panic.

Footsteps became chaotic, and cries rang out one after another.

“Misty!

Brock!

Misty and Brock followed closely behind him.

“Everyone, don’t panic!

Proceed to the lifeboats in an orderly manner!” the crew members shouted, trying to maintain order.

But in the face of this sudden storm, fear made it difficult for people to stay calm.

The waves grew higher and higher, striking the ship’s hull like enormous monsters.

The S.S.

Anne swayed dangerously in the wind and waves.

Ash and the others finally reached the lifeboats and saw the chaotic scene before them.

Under the crew’s guidance, the passengers gradually calmed down and began boarding the lifeboats in order.

However, the storm was growing more violent.

Wave after wave slammed against the ship, threatening to swallow the S.S.

Anne at any moment.

Ash looked at the people who had not yet boarded the lifeboats, his heart burning with anxiety.

He knew time was running out.

They had to move faster.

Just then, a massive wave crashed toward the S.S.

Anne.

The ship shook violently.

Misty was thrown into the air.

“Misty!” Ash immediately leapt forward and caught Misty midair.

The wind howled, and waves towered like mountains.

The huge wave rushed toward the S.S.

Anne like a ferocious beast.

With a thunderous boom, the ship jolted hard and began shaking violently, as if it might be torn apart by the merciless sea at any moment.

In the chaos, Misty was flung away by the powerful impact.

Her body tumbled uncontrollably through the air, her face full of fear as she screamed, “Ah—!”

“Misty!” Ash’s eyes went wide, and his heart leapt into his throat.

Without hesitation, he jumped toward her.

The wind roared past his ears.

Ash’s gaze locked tightly onto Misty, and only one thought remained in his mind.

He had to catch her!

At the critical moment, Ash caught Misty firmly in midair.

Misty had her eyes tightly shut.

Feeling a familiar scent and a warm embrace, she slowly opened her eyes and saw Ash’s face filled with worry.

“Ash…” Misty said softly, her voice trembling with emotion.

“Don’t be scared.

I’m here.” Ash comforted her, holding her tightly as his feet landed firmly back on the deck.

At that moment, the ship was still shaking nonstop, and the surrounding passengers were fleeing in panic.

“We need to get to the lifeboats now!” Ash shouted.

Seeing that Ash and Misty were safe, Brock let out a breath of relief and shouted, “Ash!

Misty!

This way!”

However, another huge wave came crashing down.

In the end, the S.S.

Anne still sank.

Would Ash, Misty, and Brock be able to escape?

The wind raged like fury, and the waves rose like mountains.

Another massive wave slammed into the S.S.

Anne with overwhelming force.

That enormous power seemed capable of destroying everything in the world.

The ship could no longer bear the strain.

Amid violent shaking, it let out a chilling creak, then slowly tilted and began sinking toward the bottom of the sea.

Seawater surged in like a wild beast, instantly flooding the deck.

Ash, Misty, and Brock, trapped aboard the ship, were caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.

But they immediately retreated back inside the ship and locked the door.

Fortunately, the S.S.

Anne’s waterproofing measures were good enough that water did not seep in.

…

The seawater outside was icy cold, and everything around them was dim.

Only the sound of rushing water and the three of them breathing quickly could be heard.

As the S.S.

Anne sank to the ocean floor, the immense water pressure filled the entire space with a suffocating sense of oppression. This story is hosted at g.com.

“Ash, what do we do?” Misty asked, her face full of terror as she tightly grabbed Ash’s arm.

“Don’t panic.

We’ll definitely get out!” Ash quickly looked around, his mind racing.

“Right now, the entire ship has flipped upside down.

In other words, we need to go upward, toward the bottom of the ship.

Then we open a hole in the hull, and we’ll be able to get out.” Ash analyzed the situation while trying to reassure his companions.

“Good idea.” Brock nodded in agreement.

“Ah, I can help with that.” Misty suddenly thought of something, and a spark lit up in her eyes.

“I played with a model of the S.S.

Anne when I was little, so I know the route to the bottom of the ship.”

“Good.

Misty, lead the way,” Ash said.

Misty took a deep breath and tried to steady her emotions.

“Follow me,” she said, then turned and walked in one direction.

Ash and Brock followed closely behind her.

…

Inside the dim ship corridors, Ash, Misty, and Brock carefully made their way toward the bottom of the ship.

Misty released Goldeen into the water that had seeped in to scout ahead.

Before long, Goldeen suddenly swam back quickly—with the Team Rocket trio balanced on its head.

The three of them were soaked from head to toe, their faces pale, and they were unconscious.

If they had been found any later, they might really have been dead.

And so, Ash, Misty, and Brock continued toward the bottom of the ship with Team Rocket in tow.

Along the way, no one spoke.

The atmosphere was somewhat strange.

But they all understood that, in this dangerous situation beneath the sea, only by temporarily setting aside their grudges and working together could they possibly escape alive.

…

After much hardship, everyone finally reached the bottom of the S.S.

Anne.

The light here was dim, icy seawater continued to surge around them, and the massive pressure made the air feel almost frozen.

Ash took out a Poké Ball.

Red light flashed, and Charmeleon appeared before everyone.

“Charmeleon, use Flamethrower to open a hole up there.”

After hearing the command, Charmeleon opened its mouth and shot out a blazing stream of fire, aiming straight at the steel plate of the ship’s bottom.

Under the scorching flames, the steel plate gradually turned red and began making sizzling sounds.

Then Ash looked at the others and said, “Everyone, get your Water-type Pokémon ready.

Once the hole opens, have the Pokémon take us out.”

“Okay, no problem,” Misty replied.

All of her Pokémon were Water-types, so she naturally had no issue.

Brock also had no problem, since Misty lent him her Starmie.

Ash himself had Wartortle, so he was also prepared.

Misty would be using Milotic.

The three tied themselves to their Pokémon with ropes and prepared to leave.

However, everyone’s gaze then fell on the Team Rocket trio.

Jessie, James, and Meowth looked at one another, their eyes showing a trace of embarrassment.

Their Pokémon… would they really have to rely on the Magikarp James had bought at a high price?

This…

Charmeleon’s flames continued to burn, and the steel plate at the bottom of the ship was gradually being pierced through.

Everyone stared intently at the steel plate, their hearts filled with both tension and anticipation.

With a bang, the steel plate was finally burned open, creating a large hole.

Icy seawater instantly surged in.

“Quick!

Have the Pokémon take us out!” Ash recalled Charmeleon immediately and shouted.

Wartortle, Starmie, and Milotic received the command and quickly moved into action.

Wartortle carried Ash, Starmie carried Brock, and Milotic carried Misty as they followed closely behind.

Before leaving, Misty did not forget to turn back and remind the Team Rocket trio, “Team Rocket, hurry up and follow us too!”

After saying that, she swam out through the hole with Milotic.

Watching Ash and the others leave safely, the Team Rocket trio became extremely anxious.

The trio tugged at the rope tied to Magikarp.

However, Magikarp simply flopped around in place, swinging its tail back and forth and splashing up large amounts of water.

It showed no intention of moving toward the hole at all…

At that moment, it seemed as though a flock of Murkrow had flown over their heads…
