Ella Lacey stepped out of the school gate, finding the area desolate, with Louis Jefferson’s white BMW parked by the roadside.

He was leaning leisurely against the car, one hand on the hood and the other casually in his pocket.

His legs were casually crossed with his khaki checked suit making him look radiant, humble, and gentle.Full novel: Becoming the Apple of Mr.Gong’s Eye — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Ella, why are you the last one out? All your classmates have left,” Louis Jefferson waved to her, flashing an alluring smile as his narrow eyes glittered.

Ella Lacey hopped over to him with her backpack on her shoulders, feigning nonchalance, “Hehe, that’s because I received some special attention from the teacher!”

“Sounds like a good thing?” Louis Jefferson ruffled her fluffy hair and, out of habit, took her heavy backpack off her shoulders.

“You must be tired after studying all day.

Let me treat you to some good food, okay?”

“Sure, sure!” Ella Lacey tilted her face up, her smile as sweet as a blossoming flower—she was such a foodie.

As for the final instructions left by the class head, Tiffany Gasper, before leaving the office—”Ella, when you get home tonight, prepare seriously.

Don’t be careless, there are many people waiting to see you make a fool of yourself,” she’d completely forgotten about it o(∩_∩)o

Right now, filling her stomach was all that mattered!

Louis Jefferson drove the car, taking her directly to the largest seven-star hotel in Arizona City, the Arizona City Hotel.

The hotel’s main hall was extravagant as if it were a royal palace, filled with gleaming gold wherever looked.

This was the first time Ella Lacey had entered such a high-class hotel, and she showed no signs of intimidation. The source of this chapter is g.com.

Her legs didn’t turn to jelly—after all, the Lindsey Family mansion where she lived was far more luxurious than any hotel outside.

The only regret was that Arthur Lindsey never took her to such high-end places.

Though it was widely known on television that these luxurious hotels and clubs are where CEOs often frequent.

She followed Louis Jefferson into the main hall elevator, and he pressed the button for the 66th floor.

As the elevator ascended, the high-rises outside the vacuum glass seemed to fly by until they were underfoot.

You could almost reach up and touch the white clouds in the sky.

No wonder they called it the Arizona City Hotel.

“Ding——”

They’d arrived at the 66th floor.

Compared to the main hall on the first floor, the setup on the top floor was more luxurious and private.

In the large space, the light was soft, with only a few dining spots available.

The tables and chairs were built from top-grade redwood, lined with magnificent jewels that emitted an enchanting glow.

Gentle music filled the air, perfect for dining.

“Mr Jefferson, good day,” a server politely pulled out a chair for him, then turned to Ella and said, “Miss, please have a seat.”

Then, the server adeptly unpacked their eating utensils and professionally added, “Mr Jefferson, your meal will be ready in about ten minutes.

If you need any other service, please feel free to use the call button on the table.”

“Alright, got it.

You can go now,” Louis Jefferson dismissed the server, his wrist revealing a silver-gray Rolex watch.

He was classy.

Ella Lacey sat quietly in her chair, not needing to do or worry about anything, just wait for the food to come.

She had grown accustomed to, and even liked, this kind of laziness and pampered demeanor when being with Louis Jefferson.

So, in two words, comfortable o(∩_∩)o

“Ella, I’m going to use the restroom,” Louis Jefferson said apologetically as he got up.

“Okie~” Ella Lacey nodded, then turned her gaze out the window.

Large fluffy clouds loomed freely in the distance, giving the illusion that she could reach out and pluck one out of the sky, just like in the dreams of her childhood: picking a star for you, nabbing the moon for you, grabbing a puff of cloud, for you…

Of course, she couldn’t touch the clouds.

The hotel had locked all the transparent windows for safety reasons.

But, the glass not too far off reflected a deep and familiar silhouette.

With a familiar sense of coldness, what’s going on again?
