Ultimate Humungousaur stood his ground like an armored fortress.

Facing him, the sixty-foot-tall Humungousaur raised a fist larger than a delivery truck and slammed it downward with a air-shattering roar.

The colossal blow descended, carrying enough force to level a building.Full novel: Ben 10: Albedo’s Apex — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But Ultimate Humungousaur didn’t even flinch.

He casually raised a single, olive-green hand, catching the giant fist in his palm with a heavy, reverberating THUD.

Ben’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief.

“Are you kidding me?!

That was a direct hit!”

Refusing to accept the massive gap in power, Ben raised his other fist and brought it crashing down in a brutal overhead strike.

Ultimate Humungousaur brought up his secondary hand, catching the second fist just as easily, his posture completely rigid and unmoved.

“Is that truly the extent of your strength, Tennyson?” Ultimate Humungousaur sneered, his vocalizers booming through the canyon.

“Did you skip breakfast, or are you simply throwing a tantrum?”

With a sharp grunt, Ultimate Humungousaur shoved his arms upward, casually flinging Ben’s massive hands back.

Staggering slightly, Ben gritted his teeth and spun his entire torso, swinging his heavy, spiked tail straight at Albedo’s midsection.

The tail whipped through the air with a deafening screech, but Ultimate Humungousaur simply spread his arms and grabbed the tail mid-swing.

The sheer momentum dragged Albedo back a few feet, his feet digging deep trenches into the canyon dirt before coming to a dead stop.

“No way…” Ben muttered, his massive voice laced with shock.

Despite holding a staggering advantage in height and mass, he couldn’t gain an inch of ground.

” allow me to demonstrate a traditional Earthling playground maneuver!” Ultimate Humungousaur declared, a cruel grin spreading across his face.

Before Ben could pull his tail back, Albedo planted his feet, hauled back on the tail, and spun his entire body around like a Olympic hammer thrower.

The sixty-foot dinosaurian giant was lifted off his feet, spinning in violent, dizzying circles through the air.

After ten rapid rotations, Albedo released his grip.

Ben rocketed backward through the air for forty yards, crashing headfirst into a massive stone ridge that shattered into a avalanche of gravel.

Not giving Ben a single second to recover, Ultimate Humungousaur snapped his forearms forward.

His heavy silver knuckles shifted, morphing into four gleaming bio-cannon barrels.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

A volley of bio-plasmic explosive shells shot from his hands, detonating against the rock pile in a blinding, thunderous barrage.

The explosions kicked up a massive screen of black smoke and dust, completely obscuring the area from Vilgax’s view on the ridge above.

A few seconds passed in heavy silence.

Then, heavy footsteps thundered through the clearing.

Ultimate Humungousaur strode out of the smoke, casually carrying the battered, unconscious form of Ben’s sixty-foot Humungousaur slung over his shoulder like a sack of grain.

He stomped up to Vilgax, tossing Ben’s limp form onto the ground with a heavy crash.

Ben groaned, feigning agony as he forced his giant body to struggle upward on one arm, looking up at the warlord with glaring eyes.

Vilgax looked down at his long-time rival with pure, unadulterated disdain.

“Struggling is futile, Ben Tennyson.

Hand over the Omnitrix, and this humiliation ends.”

“In your dreams, Vilgax!” Ben wheezed, his massive voice rasping.

“I’ll never give it to you!”

He gestured behind him, and three Biooid droids stepped aside, revealing Kevin and Gwen bound in heavy-duty suppression field cables.

The warlord drew his heavy broadsword, hovering the gleaming blade directly over Gwen’s head.

“You are in no position to negotiate, boy,” Vilgax growled.

“Hand over the device, or watch your family perish before your eyes.”

“Ben, don’t do it!” Gwen yelled, straining against her restraints.

“Don’t listen to him!

If Vilgax gets the watch, the whole universe is doomed!”

“Yeah, Ben, don’t give that ugly squid a damn thing!” Kevin chimed in, glaring at the warlord.

Ben looked between his bound friends and the blade hovering over Gwen’s head.

He let out a long, shuddering breath, his shoulders slumping in defeat.

“Alright, Vilgax…

you win.

Just put the sword down and let them go.”

Ben raised his massive hand to his chest.

“Omnitrix: Voice Authority Mode, Override sequence!”

The watch on his chest flared bright green.

“Voice command recognized.”

“De-couple interface!

Command code: 0-0-0-De-couple-0!”

“Command confirmed.

Unlocking core matrix.”

A flash of green light enveloped the giant.

When it faded, Ben stood back in his human form, completely un-transformed.

Resting in his open palm was the unattached, metallic prototype Omnitrix.

Vilgax’s eyes widened with greed.

He reached down his massive hand.

“Give it to me!”

Ben took two slow steps forward and placed the watch directly into Vilgax’s golden gauntlet.

Vilgax held the device high above his head, letting out a deep, echoing laugh that shook the canyon walls.

“Finally!

At long last, Ben Tennyson, you have lost!

The Omnitrix belongs to me!”

Ben wiped a streak of dirt from his face.

“Alright, Vilgax.

You have what you came for.

Now release Gwen and Kevin like you promised.”

Vilgax lowered his arm, looking down at Ben with a chilling, wicked sneer.

“Promised?

Now that you are stripped of the watch, you are merely an insect.

Seize them!”

At his command, four heavy Biooids lunged forward, grabbing Ben by the arms and pinning him to the dirt.

“Vilgax, you treacherous snake!” Ben yelled, kicking against his captors.

“You gave your word!”

“I am a conqueror, boy.

I do not keep promises to insects,” Vilgax said coldly, turning his back on them.

“Take them away to the hold.”

As the Biooids dragged Ben, Gwen, and Kevin away toward the transport ships, Albedo stepped forward, his crimson eyes narrowing as he confronted the warlord.

“Well, Lord Vilgax,” Albedo said, his voice laced with artificial outrage, keeping his role strictly intact.

“Our strategic objective has been achieved.

According to our contractual agreement, hand over Tennyson’s Omnitrix.”

Vilgax didn’t even turn around.

He held the watch close to his chest, his voice dripping with arrogance.

“There has been a structural alteration to our arrangement, Albedo.

I will be retaining the Omnitrix.”

“What?!” Albedo barked, raising his armored fists.

“We had an explicit deal!

You have no practical use for the transformation interface!”

“I do not need to transform,” Vilgax growled, a dark smile spreading across his squid-like face.

“But my army does!

These Biooids possess blank, synthetic DNA pathways.

And now…

they are all linked to the master hub!”

Vilgax slammed his thumb down onto the stolen Omnitrix interface.

Instantly, a massive pulse of green energy rippled out across the canyon floor.

Behind Vilgax, hundreds of white Biooid droids simultaneously flared with bright green light.

Their synthetic skin tore, expanded, and mutated in a horrific blur of rapid cellular replication.

When the light faded, an entire legion of sixty-foot-tall, green-eyed Humungousaurs stood in formation, blockading the entire canyon.

“Seize the duplicate!” Vilgax ordered, pointing a finger at Albedo.

Playing his role to the absolute limit, Ultimate Humungousaur let out a furious roar and charged forward.

He threw a heavy punch, sending five giant Biooid-Humungousaurs flying back thirty yards.

He brought up his forearm cannons, blasting explosive bio-shells into the ranks, scattering dozens of them in a storm of fiery detonations.

However, these Biooids were mindless, artificial husk soldiers.

They felt zero pain, possessed no self-preservation instincts, and obeyed only the central command code.

Despite being blown apart, the synthetic giants scrambled back to their feet and flooded forward like an unstoppable green tide.

Three Biooids tackled Albedo from behind, locking his cannon arms to his sides.

Albedo thrashed, throwing one over his shoulder, but four more instantly took its place, piling onto his back.

More and more Biooids surged forward, overwhelming Ultimate Humungousaur through sheer, terrifying numbers.

Within seconds, a massive, thirty-foot mountain of muscle and scale pinned Albedo flat against the canyon floor, trapping him completely beneath their combined weight.

“Vilgax!…” Albedo roared.
