Three men entered the house.
They moved carefully through the darkness.
The lock had given way easily.
No alarm.
No sound.
The first man stepped inside.
The second followed.
The third took position by the door.
They were here to rob.
Simple.
Routine.
Then—
Everything stopped.
Not all at once across the entire house.
Only in the hallway where they stood.
The air became thick.
Heavy.
Immovable.
The three men froze.
Their bodies locked in place.
Mid-step.
Mid-breath.
Mid-movement.
They couldn’t move.
Not their hands.
Not their legs.
Not even their eyes.
Time had frozen in that particular area.
Only where they stood.
And at the window—
A dark figure appeared.
Standing there.
Watching.
Silent.
The figure looked at the three frozen men through the glass.
They couldn’t move.
They couldn’t scream.
They couldn’t do anything but exist in the stillness.
The dark figure stood at the window.
Observing them.
Seeing them frozen.
Then the figure turned and walked away.
And the three men remained exactly where they were.
Frozen.
Suspended.
Waiting.
