Later that same day, towards an odd hour of the night.
The moon was already set and very full; its light casting over the land.
Still at the academy, where a seemingly wasted land was situated with a rocky and unsteady natural setting.
The land was a thick forest; covered with lots of trees and stones.
A muddy landscape with twigs and vines; along with dark hard rocks.
Despite the abundance of light in the land, the place was an embodiment of a perfect night.
It held the ability of resisting light from ever abiding here, making the place seem more like a haunted place.
Though not very spooky, still people were refrained from stepping here; students in particular!
Rumors did spread about how any student who ventured into the place was haunted with loads of nightmares lasting for an entire week.
As well as having sleepless nights, further deterring any student who had the ambition of venturing into the place.
The shade was located at the far- left of the academy, just close to the border between Sparks and Orene.
Holding lots of tall trees, a dark moist soil and shrubs surrounded by a large bumpy forest stretching towards Orene..
with wide animals hardly found here, as a result of the protection spell enforced over it.
Right now a silhouette of five people with bright lanterns on their hands were walking amidst the forest.
All heading deeper down the haunted shades.
A few noises were made by night creatures; few animals which wandered here, keeping their piercing eyes peeled at anyone entering the forest.
Deeper into the forest where these people were walking toward, was the heart of the haunted shades.
Twigs snapped repeatedly from five different people with cloaks covering their faces.
At the very end of the haunted shades were a large rock with openings stood.” The heart of the haunted shade”.
Spanning wide with deep magnitudes which made it look slightly like a cave; though not a cave.
But one might mistake it for a mini version of a cave and the inside was very dark and misty with fogs all over it.
The group soon arrived here, taking out a talisman each and simultaneously muttering a long incoherent chant.
Each standing at the front of the opened rock, causing a faint shade of blue light to twirl at the center opening of the rock.
The talisman glowed in faint blue light, shimmering gradually.
The blue light all gathered together into a huge dot amidst the center opening, which slowly expanded at a gradual pace; covering the entire openings of the rock and forming a new pathway from the previous dark rock. You are reading on novelping dot com, the official source.
Seeing that, they all walked through the path one after another.
Afterwards the path disappeared along with them, reverting back to its previous state of a rock with an opening.
All through this process, there wasn’t a leak in magic energy in the air, from the five of them exposing their presence here.
The forest was now calm; dark as it had always been.
In the act of magic, one’s grasp of control over their magic ability was as a result of the profundity for power one can wield; hence a much experienced witch could cast spells without there being a movement in the magic energy in the air.
Soon after their departure from the forest, the scenery before them changed into something else different from where they once were.
They seem to have appeared in a world where someone’s lounge was amidst a forest.
Using the rock and shade as an illusion to deter people from seeing the other side of the forest; a secluded world, where a house and different environment exist.
The lounge was built in a grand and sophisticated style; a very nice construction. The walls of the house are dark gray color which blends with the nature’s environment, along with its dark roof over its top.
The gates were also black in color and the garden of the house was surrounded by black tulips flowers.
The pathway leading to the house was made of little dark bricks.
Though the place wasn’t too bright at this hour, still the front yard of the house was well taken care of and the plants looked all trimmed and cut properly.
The atmosphere around the place gave out sadness and lonely feelings of being in seclusion.
A world of black and gray, giving off a rare beauty in darkness and how much acceptable it could be if one resides here for long.
Despite the scenery before them, the group of people seemed unfazed by it all as they walked through the gate of the house into the garden, heading for the door, lined up in a straight line after one another.
They arrived at the house door where they didn’t knock as any guest would have done but rather they stood there outside.
A figure amidst them pulled out his talisman and made a whistle into the air.
Causing a melodious sound to echo from inside the house.
From the very top along with a herd of black birds which swirl in the air at a noticeable way above the roof.
A dark wind blade could be seen intertwining with the herd of birds swirling above the rooftop.
Forming a mini tornado with faint gray lights intertwining within it.
Slowly disappearing into the house from the top all deposing inside the house and causing the sky to regain its faint clarity.
Seeing this feat, the five individuals stepped backwards a bit from the door, giving a meter gap from it and they stood vertically awaiting the person about to step out.
It was a woman.
She pulled open the door; holding a smile on her face which reached her eyes, showing a glint of excitement in them like a teenage girl.
She was above her thirties, a bit plump with thin lips which drew into a fine smile.
She had a black dress on with double layers to it and the top layer of the dress was made from thick black silk net and flowers cut all over it.
The dress was very long with full sleeve hands revealing only her white fingers and knuckles which gripped the door, her feet couldn’t be seen clearly from the length of the dress.
But beneath her dress, was something attached to her ankle, looking further one could see that it’s a chain made of black durable metal; binding one ankle like an anklet.
She kept the smile on her face, pushing the door fully open for them to get a full view of the house while moving aside and welcoming them into her house.
* Finally you all are here again!
* She remarked charmingly with a beam in her eyes.
Her words were filled with enthusiasm and excitement of a teenage girl.
At her words the five figures stepped into the house, marching one after the other, with the last person closing the door.
The woman still had a welcoming smile on her face, sniffing her nose in the air; like she was searching for a delectable aroma; despite her not being blind, all in hope of distinguishing someone in particular from the group of five.
She got onto the trail of the person she was searching for, causing her smile to become more charming while running towards them.
First it was a figure in a dark green cloak covering his face from being seen.
She threw herself at him, causing the hood over his head to fall off.
He was a man, dark orange mullet hair with hard facial features.
His strong jawline with sharp eyes coupled with his copper shade beards.
He had a calm and welcoming smile on his face, lifting his hands from his cloak to pat the woman’s back.
* Ummm…..
What.
Don’t I get a hug before Bram does?
* A man remarked with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
He pulled the hood of his cloak off his head, revealing his appearance.
He was none other than Head Dorian, the man he spoke about was Head Bram.
