(*Detailed description of violence and crimes case)
[Suga, I have something to take care of. Save my number, so you can call me in your room, not Yuki’s.]
“Okay, bye Danny. Take care of yourself.”
[You too, Suga.] Danny nodded before the laptop screen turned dark, no longer displaying his face.
Suga closed the laptop and let out a long deep sigh.
“How is it? Has your worry subsided?”
“It will never disappear.” Suga replied casually, “As an older brother, worry will never subside. By the way, thanks for lending me your laptop. I’ve saved Danny’s number.”
After placing Yuki’s laptop back on the desk, Suga sat back on Yuki’s bed and leaned against the headboard.
Yuki, seeing that Suga was still in his room, raised an eyebrow.
He turned his body and opened the fridge, tossing a can of soda in Suga’s direction, which Suga skillfully caught.
“Do you miss me so much that you want to sleep here? Haha.”
“Your jokes aren’t funny,” Suga commented, pressing the cold soda can against his cheek, “I don’t know if I can trust you if I say this … something related to my dad.”
Hearing Suga’s straightforward words, Yuki muttered, “Ah…” He pulled out a chair, closed the distance, then sat down.
His face offered a sweet smile toward him, which only elicited a harsh snort from Suga.
“I’ve told you that I’m on your side.”
“Can you prove it to me?”
Even though Yuki was his close friend, a childhood friend, he still worked at IHPS, an organization established by the elite.
If the culprit managed to easily kill his parents, especially his father who used to be an instructor in this organization, it wouldn’t be surprising if the culprit had connections with this institution.
“Ask me.”
“Huh?”
“Ask me who killed your parents.”
“But you said you didn’t know.”
“I said I don’t have clear evidence yet. Knowing this is also dangerous for my life, you know? I could be killed too.”
“I still don’t believe you.”
If it’s just words, anyone can do it.
Suga wanted to see real evidence, concrete proof that this man wouldn’t betray him.
“Suga, the real proof is you.”
“What do you mean?”
“If I were working for them, I would have handed you over to them already, but I brought you here instead. I helped you hide, even assisted your sibling in going to California.”
Yuki tried to say it casually, as if Suga should naturally trust him.
“Though, I understand your skepticism.” He added.
So, can I really trust Yuki?
Suga stared at Yuki’s face for a long while, and there was no sign that this man was lying.
They stayed quiet for a significant amount of time until Yuki let out a long sigh.
He stood up, and Suga’s eyes followed his movements.
Yuki unlocked a thick, sturdy safe, then taking out a dark blue document.
His hand hesitated briefly, seemingly unsure about revealing the thing, but eventually, as if prepared, he handed it over to Suga.
“What’s this?”
“Open it.”
Suga took the document, and Yuki sat down beside him.
He glanced briefly at Yuki, and for some reason, he felt a bit nervous about checking the contents of this lightweight document.
After pondering for a while, Suga finally opened the document, but in an instant, even on the first page, his eyes widened in shock at what he saw.
His stomach churned, and he almost felt like vomiting.
There, on the first page of the document, were numerous photos of human bodies with their stomachs split open, legs severed, a heap of corpses whose faces could no longer be called faces, they looked like piles of flesh.
Suga’s hands trembled intensely, he quickly shut the document and looked at Yuki with an incredulous expression.
“What the hell are these photos?”
“Human trafficking.”
“How did you get hold of these?”
“Look at the next page.”
Hearing that, Suga’s face turned pale.
He didn’t know if he could bear to see something that gruesome again, but with a strong intention to find out what Yuki wanted to tell him, Suga flipped to the next page.
This time, even though there were no bloodied images, Suga’s expression remained shocked—there were photos of people lying in harnesses and lingerie, they were injured, and their skin was bruised to a greenish color.
And the blood instantly drained from the skin of his face when his eyes fell on one of the photos showing a young thin man full of bruises, from his stature he seemed to be of Asian nationality, lying on a pool table, tied firmly in place, and there stood a man wearing a mask who seemed to forcibly insert a wine glass bottle into his anus, the man’s mouth was tied by a cloth, even so Suga could clearly see the man’s expression of pain.
“Did you see the same pattern?”
“What …. What pattern?”
His voice was a bit shaky, Suga could not comprehend this, what kind of crazy person could do something like this to another human.
Yuki moved closer to him, he opened the document wider, this time Suga closed his eyes for a moment, grimacing, his eyes caught a photo of a young blond man wearing a brassiere, his penis was being cut off by a masked man, he was in a state of consciousness evident from the way his eyes shot open in great pain, as if blood might flow from them.
“Here, look at the back of the masked man. And look at the majority of the people in this photo, almost all of them have the same small tattoo.”
Listening closely to the additional information, Suga tried to look again at the photos attached to the document, and what Yuki said was right, almost all of them have the same tattoo, but as Suga flipped the page to look more, another traumatizing picture got him frozen in fear, there was a man squatting naked and trying to push out a billiard ball from inside his bleeding anus, which made Suga want to immediately wash his eyes with holy water, and forget all about this human torture, but in the photo of the naked man he also found the same tattoo, the same one on almost all of the victims.
The tattoo was very small, almost unnoticeable if you didn’t pay close attention.
Were they all one syndicate, a cult?
Whatever it was, he didn’t want to see those photos again.
He missed his ignorant self before opening that document. Find the original chapter at g.com.
Suga closed the document tightly and threw it onto the bed.
He didn’t say anything, and Yuki’s expression appeared oddly calm.
As if he was used to seeing such things, considering that he worked in this place, of course cases like this were not new to this man.
“The tattoos are three little dots… They have them on their backs and waists.”
“Oh, your eyes are sharp, you’re very smart Suga.”
Hearing the quiet voice of Suga who was still in an overwhelming state of shock, Yuki chuckled, intending to break the dark atmosphere, but instead got a sharp look from Suga.
“God, that traumatized me. Where did you get those pictures?”
“From an IHPS member who worked as a spy, five years ago, it’s a shame he passed away.”
“What? Don’t tell me that he was also murdered?”
“Well….” Yuki blinked, the color of his face seemed to change slightly, the smooth forehead turn into a frown, “We don’t really have any evidence, he died by suicide … That’s the result of his report.”
“I don’t believe that.” Suga remarked, Yuki nodded slowly and smiled a little, this time his smile was kind of robotic.
“Me too,” he said, and his eyes looked cold, written clearly on his face he was eager to solve this case.
They fell into a quiet stillness for a few moments, Suga trying to breathe more regularly.
He tried his best to erase the image from his memory.
He didn’t even look at the whole page, but the images he did see were enough to make Suga wonder what kind of cruel humans enjoyed torturing another humans?
Nevertheless, all of this made Suga recall the previous intention of Yuki handing over this document, it was probably a big secret, to him.
He didn’t really understand what it had to do with the death of his parents.
“…. So, this document, what do you want to tell me?”
“Ah, yes… That.” Yuki, who had been silent, turned his head back towards Suga.
“I checked the historical data I received from the spy. It appears your father visited the group’s hidden location several years ago, before he left his job as an instructor.”
“…So, what you’re suggesting is that they were aware my dad discovered their hideout?”
“Not just that, it seems they were also aware your father had evidence of their illegal activities.”
“How could they have known? How could my father possess evidence of their crimes?”
“He’s also a former spy, you didn’t know that?” Yuki let out a low sigh, he pointed at Suga’s unopened soda can gesturing for Suga to drink it, noticing Suga’s hoarse voice.
Seeing that, Suga took the can, he realized the soda was still cold.
“There are claims that your father has the tape… even though that place strictly prohibits electronics, except for its members. Your father visited there multiple times.”
“Then what’s the difference with these photos? Aren’t the photos in this document also evidence?”
“Well, the man who died, the spy I had sent, informed me that he overheard a conversation among the significant people there,” Yuki explained, his face turned serious, different from the usual cheerfulness he usually had, “And they mentioned your father’s name and saying that he possessed evidence that could expose them in court, leading to their certain imprisonment or even execution.”
“Is this evidence not enough? I mean, the document you have.”
“It’s just a few photos, Suga. What can photos accomplish in court against those groups who might be shielded by the law? All of this is useless. We need something more substantial… something they can’t dismiss even in the slightest.”
