The warm aroma of breakfast filled the small Hirunkit apartment.

Unlike the luxurious Wongravee Mansion, this home was simple, filled with mismatched furniture, children’s drawings on the walls, and the comforting sound of laughter.

It was a home built with love.Full novel: (BL) Mechanical Hearts & Architecteral Dreams — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Good morning!”

Seven-year-old Ching Ching ran into the kitchen, hugging New around the waist.

“I’m hungry!”

New chuckled as he placed a plate of fried rice on the table.

“Wash your hands first.”

“Okay!”

Nearby, Noah sat proudly on one of the chairs, meowing impatiently.

Nani laughed as he poured milk into the cat’s bowl.

“You’re just as impatient as Ching Ching.”

Noah answered with a satisfied purr.

For a brief moment, everything felt peaceful.

Until New’s phone rang.

The smile on his face slowly disappeared as he read the message.

It was from Tay.

Father has started investigating Sky.

He’s becoming desperate.

New sighed quietly.

He knew exactly what that meant.

Wongravee wasn’t the type of man who gave up.

If he couldn’t control Tay anymore…

He would control Sky.

That evening, after Ching Ching had fallen asleep, New found Nani sitting on the balcony, sketching the city skyline beneath the fading sunset.

“You’ve been drawing the same building for twenty minutes,” New said gently.

Nani smiled sheepishly.

“I guess my mind is somewhere else.”

New sat beside him.

“Still thinking about Sky?”

Nani nodded.

“I feel guilty.” Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

“I know I refused him…”

“…but when I saw his face the next day…”

“He looked like he’d already accepted losing.”

New remained silent for a while.

Finally, he spoke.

“Nani…”

“I want to ask you something.”

Nani put down his pencil.

“What is it?”

New took a deep breath.

“I want you to help Sky.”

Nani blinked.

“…Brother?”

“I know what I’m asking isn’t fair.”

“But Tay told me everything.”

“Sky has lived his entire life under his father’s control.”

“He never chose his university major.”

“He never chose his future.”

“And now…”

“…he’s being denied the right to choose the person he’ll spend the rest of his life with.”

Nani listened quietly.

“He isn’t asking for love,” New continued.

“He’s asking for freedom.”

The words lingered in the air.

Nani lowered his eyes.

“But…”

“What if people find out?”

“What if his father hurts us?”

“What about you?”

New smiled reassuringly.

“You don’t have to carry those worries alone.”

“Tay and I will protect you.” This story is hosted at g.com.

Nani’s eyes began to fill with uncertainty.

“I’ve never lied about something this big.”

“I know.”

New gently held his younger brother’s hand.

“That’s why I’m not forcing you.”

“I’m only asking.”

“You’ve always had the kindest heart in our family.”

“If anyone can help Sky without expecting anything in return…”

“It’s you.”

Silence settled between the brothers.

The evening breeze rustled the pages of Nani’s sketchbook.

After several long moments, he finally looked up.

“Can I… think about it?”

New smiled warmly.

“Of course.”

“No matter what you decide…”

“…I’ll always support you.”

Nani nodded.

“Thank you, Brother.”

Just then, Noah jumped onto Nani’s lap and rubbed his head against his arm.

Nani laughed softly as he scratched the kitten behind the ears.

“You always know when I’m worried, don’t you?”

Noah purred in response.

Across the city, Sky stood alone in the Mechanical Engineering workshop, staring at an unfinished motorcycle engine.

No matter how complicated a machine was, he could always find a way to repair it.

But his own life…

Felt like something even he couldn’t fix.

Neither Sky nor Nani knew that the decision made in the coming days would change both of their futures forever.

Sometimes, the strongest bonds weren’t born from love at first sight.

Sometimes…

They began with a single request made out of hope.
