~Reynold’s POV~

He was about to say something when a sudden knock sounded at the door.

I flinched. "Please... don’t. Don’t send me back to him."

He didn’t say anything to comfort me. He simply crossed the room and opened the door. I couldn’t see who was outside, but I heard a brief exchange before the door closed again.

He walked back toward me. "I’ll be heading home in an hour. I came here for a business meeting. What about you?"

"My family already left me here," I said, my voice breaking. "I have nowhere to go. I don’t know how I’m supposed to get home." Despite the heat still burning through my body, I forced myself to reach for him. "Please... take me with you."

He paused. "Where are you from?"

"Saint City," I choked out.

There was a brief silence. "So am I."

"Please, take me with you. I have my passport with me, but I don’t have a ticket or enough money to get home. Please..."

He was quiet for a moment before answering. "You don’t need a ticket. You’re coming with me."

I didn’t understand how he was going to make it happen or why a stranger would risk getting involved in my nightmare, but the relief nearly made me collapse.

"Thank you," I breathed.

He stepped away and pulled out his phone. He made a quick call, speaking quietly before ending it.

A few moments later, another knock sounded at the door. He walked over and opened it. A moment later, he returned with someone.

"The doctor is here. Reynold, let him check on you," he said.

The doctor moved quickly, checking my pulse and examining me. By then, I barely understood what was happening. My body felt heavier by the second, and the heat burning through me still wouldn’t go away.

After a quick examination, the doctor gave me an injection.

A few minutes later, the heat inside my body began to ease. It wasn’t gone completely, but the unbearable intensity had finally started to fade.

My eyelids grew heavy.

"He needs to rest," the doctor said quietly.

I tried to fight it, struggling to keep my eyes open, but exhaustion slowly dragged me under. The last thing I heard before I lost consciousness was the deep, familiar voice of the man who had saved me.

"Sleep, Reynold."

Everything after that became a blur. When I finally opened my eyes again, the hotel room was gone.

Instead, I heard the steady hum of an engine beneath me. I was lying across a soft leather seat. I slowly looked around and realized I was inside a private jet.

For a moment, I thought the drugs were still playing tricks on my mind.

I blinked several times and looked around the cabin. A man was sitting across from me, quietly reading a magazine.

I couldn’t see his face clearly from where I was lying, but something about him caught my attention. His platinum-blond hair, the sharp line of his profile... there was something strangely familiar about him.

I frowned, trying to place him. Where had I seen him before?

The man slowly lowered the magazine and turned his head toward me.

My breath caught. I stared at him, unable to believe what I was seeing. It couldn’t be.

Frederick Corvin.

I pinched my forearm, wincing when the pain shot through me. It wasn’t a dream. He was really Frederick, the founder of the Corvin Psychological & Sexual Wellness Institute, the owner of Corvin & Co., and one of the richest and most influential businessmen in the country.

He stared at me, our eyes meeting as a faint smirk pulled at the corner of his mouth. "Did I catch your attention that much, or are you still high?"

I shook my head frantically, my throat too tight to form a proper answer.

He tossed the magazine onto the table between us and leaned back, crossing one long leg over the other. "Water, juice, food—anything or everything. What do you want, Reynold?"

I just stared at him. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I didn’t even know what to say.

"Reynold," he called my name again. "Are you going to speak, or are you just going to stare? Or should I take off the rest of my clothes so you can watch properly?"

Heat rushed to my cheeks, completely unrelated to the drugs. I swallowed hard, and then my stomach let out an embarrassingly loud rumble.

"I... I want to eat," I managed to whisper.

A small smile tugged at Frederick’s lips. He pressed a button on the armrest. "Serve us," he said into the intercom. "And bring something substantial. My guest is starving."

Serve us.

All my life, I had always eaten separately from my family. Not once had I ever been allowed to sit at their table or share a meal with them. So how was I supposed to eat right in front of a billionaire like Frederick Corvin?

The food arrived a few minutes later, a spread of rich, beautifully prepared dishes that made my empty stomach ache. I stared at the plates, wanting every bite, but I couldn’t bring myself to reach for anything. My family had always mocked me, telling me I ate like an animal, that I was messy and disgraceful. I couldn’t bear the thought of my table manners irritating the man who had just saved my life. He was my savior, and I didn’t want to disgust him.

Frederick noticed my hesitation immediately. He set his drink down and looked at me. "Eat."

I bit my lower lip, glancing at the food before holding my stomach. "I... I’m not actually hungry."

One of his eyebrows lifted. "Why? Do you want me to feed you?"

I shook my head quickly. "No."

"Then eat," he said. "If you’re planning to starve yourself to death, at least make my effort worth it. Don’t die inside my jet."

I looked at him. I’d heard people say Frederick was ruthless. I’d also heard that he could be kind. I guessed I was getting to see both sides of him.

"Eat before I feed you myself," he said.

I picked up the fork with trembling fingers, covered my mouth with my free hand, and took the first bite.

Frederick was watching me from across the table.

When I reached for a second bite, my hand went back to cover my mouth.

"Why are you covering your mouth?" Frederick asked.

"I’m... I’m not used to eating in front of people," I whispered, staring down at my lap. "I always ate alone in my room."

Frederick looked at me but didn’t ask why. Instead, he slowly reached across the table and gently moved my hand away from my face.

"Be comfortable," he said. "I’m not a good person, Reynold, but I’ll give you the freedom to be yourself here. So just eat normally around me."

I nodded. "Thank you, sir."

We both focused on our meals after that. Throughout dinner, I could feel him glancing at me from time to time, but I kept my eyes on my plate, too intimidated to look up again.

When the meal was over, Frederick stood up. "We still have about eight hours to go before we reach Saint City. I’m going to rest for a while."

I nodded quickly. "Okay."

As he walked away, I couldn’t help staring. Up close, he was imposing, taller than me and powerfully built, with clear skin and a quiet confidence. For a few minutes, sitting across from him, I had almost forgotten that once the plane landed, I might have nowhere to go and no family waiting for me.

The moment he disappeared into the back of the jet, reality came rushing back.

I stared out the window at the endless clouds, the pain of my father’s betrayal settling heavily in my chest. He had sold me just to save his company.

Before I could sink any further into my thoughts, one of the flight attendants approached me.

"Mr. Corvin asked me to bring you to him."

"Me?" I asked.

The flight attendant nodded. "Yes."

I stood up immediately, straightening my clothes. I had to pull myself together. He had saved me, and I couldn’t afford to look weak in front of him.

The attendant led me through the jet to a private cabin. He stopped at the door and gestured for me to enter.

I stepped inside, and the man closed the door behind me before walking away.

I looked around the cabin. It was spacious and luxurious, with soft lighting, comfortable leather seats, and a large bed at the far end.

Frederick was lying on the bed beneath the duvet, shirtless, his platinum-blond hair slightly tousled as he looked in my direction.

He pointed toward the en-suite bathroom. "Go take a shower." Then he patted the empty space beside him on the bed. "Afterward, come back and get some proper rest. You must be exhausted."

I stared at him, my mind spinning. He’s shirtless and asking me to sleep beside him. Is he serious right now?

I turned toward the bathroom. When I stepped inside, I found everything I needed already prepared for me, including a soft towel and a bathrobe. I took a shower, letting the warm water wash away some of the sweat and tension from my body. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn’t stop thinking about what was waiting for me when I got home.

If this is the price, then so be it. It’s better to lose my virginity to a billionaire here on this private jet than to go back home and have my father and stepmother force me into someone else’s bed just to save their company. They had already made their choice, and I knew they wouldn’t stop until they got what they wanted.

Whatever happened here would stay here, and I would consider it payment. After that, we’d be even, and everything would end there.

I fixed my damp hair in front of the mirror one last time before leaving the bathroom. When I stepped back into the cabin, Frederick looked up from the TV and stared at me for a moment. I walked slowly toward the bed, my thoughts racing, then climbed under the duvet beside him.

Without saying anything, Frederick reached for me, placed a hand around my waist, and pulled me closer to him.
