The script to the TV series wasn’t that interesting.

He was made to read on their way to the location, and nearly dozed off a few times if not for Jane keeping him in check.

“Do you understand what the basic premise is?” Jane knew that he was probably too tired to focus, so she didn’t mind his disinterest at all.Full novel: [BL] Stealing the Male Leads System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Nope.” None of what Zane had read entered his thoughts.

His mind was still stuck replaying the image of Clyde and his beautiful lips wrapped around him.

Shit.

I’m a pervert.

[At least you know, Master.]

Shut up!

“It’s a love story between the children of two political factions of the court.

Their parents’ hatred for each other was passed down to them.

This is an enemy-to-lovers story.”

Zane nodded along to what Jane said.

He, for one, couldn’t understand how someone could fall for the person they hated.

If Zane had to fall for Oliver, he’d rather lick up vomit instead.

[You are disgusting.]

Says you!?

“The role they gave you is the crown prince.” Jane grinned proudly.

“I wouldn’t have accepted it if they gave you anything less for your first project.”

The crown prince was one of the main characters in the story.

While the male lead supported the crown prince’s faction and was the best of friends, the female lead’s faction supported the third prince.

“This director is the son of the famous Phil Levine.

His name is Bastian.

He’s done multiple acclaimed indie projects during his school years.

This is his first project after graduating.”

Zane wasn’t interested in who he was, so he didn’t pay much attention to what Jane was saying.

“He graduated from the same University that you are attending.” It was only now that Zane suddenly felt his interest piqued.

Isn’t Oliver starring in some TV drama as well?

[Yes.]

If he’s a recent graduate, doesn’t that mean Oliver knows him?

[Yes.]

That dude Oliver was fucking?

[I’m surprised by your deduction skills, Master.]

Why don’t you just call me dumb!?

Zane didn’t get a good glimpse at the man named Bastian.

He was so busy nearly throwing up his guts, that he only noticed how much larger the man was compared to Oliver.

But then again, Oliver was a lot smaller than Zane as well.

“Are you nervous about meeting an alumnus?” Jane noticed the frown on Zane’s face and thought him to be anxious.

“No…”

“Don’t worry!

He was really adamant about having you play the crown prince!

He’ll treat you well.”

Zane didn’t believe it, not one bit.

There was no way in hell that Oliver’s flings would happily associate with him.

It was clear that Oliver asked for Zane to be cast.

“Miss Carter!” An assistant approached them the moment they stepped out of the car.

He looked to have been waiting eagerly for them, with his face slightly red and beads of sweat forming along his forehead.

The weather was really hot out, making it nearly unbearable for Zane.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance, wanting nothing more than to be inside a conditioned area.

“My artist doesn’t do well under the heat.” Jane smiled politely.

He let him know that anything that needed discussing could be done inside.

The assistant quickly closed his folder with an apologetic grin.

“Of course!

This way.” He guided them to one of the luxury trailers reserved for the director.

“Would you like a drink?”

“Water is fine,” Ella responded and offered to help grab some for everyone.

Zane could feel the assistant’s gaze sneakily peaking at him throughout the discussion.

It wasn’t until his radio crackled and a voice urged him to show them around the area that he stopped.

“Is it all right if he stays?” Jane didn’t think it was important for Zane to accompany them around in the blazing sun.

If he were to be filming here, he would soon learn about the place anyway.

“Absolutely!” The assistant beamed happily as he ushered the two women out the door.

What’s happening here?

Something odd about the way he acted made Zane uncomfortable.

Besides, this was the director’s private trailer, so it didn’t feel right for him to hang out here alone.

Just as he was about to leave, the door was pulled open, startling Zane.

The person bumped into him, nearly causing him to fall on his ass.

“Apologies.” His voice was calm as he steadied Zane.

The door closed behind him, making their sudden meeting one of awkwardness.

They weren’t much different in height.

If Zane couldn’t guess who this was, he would be an idiot.

Does this world only have good-looking people?

Zane wouldn’t doubt it one bit if this person were revealed to be a male lead as well.

His looks could probably rival Clyde and Michael’s, leaving Zane speechless.

“I’m Bastian.” His warm hands reached for Zane’s, gripping them before Zane could even process what was happening.

“Don’t be like that, Zane.”

The fuck is his problem?

He rubbed his hand along Zane’s palm, feeling the calluses that were currently in the process of healing.

“Your face is all red.

Is the heat getting to you?” He moved in closer, almost a whisper.

This sudden shift in ambiguity made Zane frown.

“Where’s Oliver?” The moment those words left his mouth, Zane saw a flash of surprise in Bastian’s eyes.

“No wonder…” His lips curled even more as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

The man released his hand before shrugging.

“He was supposed to be here an hour ago.”

He gestured for Zane to sit across from him.

Bastian didn’t bother hiding his interest as his gaze scanned Zane from head to toe.

“You’re totally his type.

I wonder why he insists I deal with you.” The straightforwardness caught Zane off guard.

Never did he imagine the man would openly confess to his plan.

“I’m dating the two that he wants most.” Zane decided to play it honest.

Bastian hasn’t once shown hostility, so he felt like the man didn’t care as much as Oliver hoped.

“Clyde and Michael?” He once again eyed Zane thoughtfully.

The two juniors were extremely famous on campus.

There had been a few of his projects where he wanted them to star as leads, but they would always refuse him.

Bastian came to know Oliver, having occasionally hooked up with the pretty boy a few times whenever Oliver wanted something from him.

He had only agreed to Oliver’s request out of fun, but after seeing Zane’s pictures, he suddenly felt like the other was the literal embodiment of how he saw the crown prince.

The casual agreement no longer mattered, for Bastian, being a director came first.

“How does it work in the sheets?” If Zane was flushed from the heat earlier, now he blushed from the question.

Bastian noticed the change, his lips curling as if he had found something interesting.

“Ah…so that’s how it is…”

“Does it matter?”

“I wonder…” If Bastian had to be honest, he wasn’t really interested in the handsome ones like Zane, Michael, or Clyde.

He unabashedly stripped Zane with his gaze, suddenly curious as to how it would feel to hold someone of a larger build.

“Don’t.”

[Does Master want to activate the default setting?]

Are you crazy?

[You keep staring at him.]

Yeah.

Cause he’s STARING at me!

What am I supposed to look at!?
