Once the thought struck him, Lucas searched the internet for a suitable martial art.

But the world was different.

The human world here was itself a fictional one, and he simply could not find the martial arts he wanted.Full novel: Bleach: Everyone Forgot About Chad — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

In the end he had to settle for second best.

If he remembered correctly, Ichigo had studied karate.

Only that late in the story, Ichigo had folded his own understanding into it, and his fighting style changed completely.

Lucas intended to follow the same path.

Learn the forms first, then slowly reshape them through combat and his own circumstances.

At present, all he knew was the fighting style of a street thug.

He found some videos online and watched them, then could not help shaking his head.

Most of them were for show.

You could tell at a glance they were flashy and empty.

Soon enough he changed his approach.

He stopped looking for instructional videos and started looking for competition footage instead.

Instructional videos were flashy and hollow.

Competitions were a different matter.

Even so, what he could learn from video alone was limited.

Breathing, the way force is generated through the body, these are hard to see on a screen.

So he planned to find a few dojos and observe in person.

He did not need to enroll.

Dojos were often open to the public for observation.

They did that mainly to attract students.

As for whether anyone could actually learn the techniques purely by watching, that was basically impossible.

An ordinary person might remember some surface-level moves at most.

But those surface moves carried no proper force generation, no breathing to go with them, and therefore no power at all.

And what they showed you was certainly not the core material.

That was for ordinary people, though.

For a superhuman like Lucas, it was a completely different matter.

You have to understand, his strength was not only spiritual. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

His physical power was terrifying now too.

Since opening his limiter, his body had been growing stronger without pause, and on top of that he had never stopped training.

These days he worked out while carrying boulders.

And alongside that monstrous conditioning, his five senses were naturally sharpening all the while.

So he was confident that if he could watch in person, he would soon pick up their moves and use them as a foundation, building a fighting style entirely his own.

He would end up invincible on the limiter alone sooner or later.

But he was aiming to be a complete all-rounder, and that meant not falling behind on technique either.

“Come to think of it, even to observe I probably need to go through the proper channels. Let me ask Ichigo.”

Ichigo had studied karate too.

He should know the procedure.

Lucas placed the call.

“Hello, Sado? It’s been a while since you reached out. What have you been up to lately?”

Ichigo was a little curious when the call came through.

The two of them were close.

They did not spend every day together over previous vacations, but they met every few days.

This vacation, Lucas had not contacted him in a while, so he wondered what the man had been doing.

“I’ve been busy exercising lately.”

Lucas told the truth.

His training program did include exercise.

The methods were just slightly inhuman.

“Exercising? You still need to keep exercising that monster body of yours?”

Ichigo’s voice came through clearly a pitch higher.

As his good friend, Ichigo knew exactly how abnormal the man’s physique was.

He still remembered the scene of Lucas taking down fifty or sixty punks by himself.

In his eyes, as long as the opponent did not bring firearms, the man was invincible.

And who would have thought someone already that strong was still training?

“I’m just idle, and I feel like my conditioning can go further, so I’m putting in some work. By the way, there’s something I wanted to ask you about karate.”

Lucas gave a perfunctory answer and then got straight to the point.

“Karate? Why are you interested in karate all of a sudden?”

Ichigo was very surprised.

He had not expected that at all.

“I am a bit interested, and I want to go observe at a dojo. So I wanted to ask what procedure I need to follow.”

“Observing? I’m not really sure about that. I stopped going to the dojo back in elementary school. But you can ask Tatsuki. She’s still there.”

At the mention of the name, Lucas remembered there was also Arisawa Tatsuki.

The two of them were friends as well.

The three of them had been in the same class in junior high, and he had met Tatsuki through Ichigo in the first place.

Unlike Ichigo, Tatsuki had never stopped practicing karate.

After reaching high school she quickly became captain of the karate club, and later even competed as an athlete.

“Thanks. I’ll go ask Tatsuki right now.”

He thanked him and hung up.

“You don’t contact me for that long and it’s just to ask this? And wasn’t that a bit abrupt?”

Ichigo was left speechless.

“Though come to think of it. That monster body of his, combined with actual technique. How strong would he even get?”

He found it hard to imagine.

On the other end, Lucas contacted Tatsuki directly.

They were friends too, on good terms, so he had her number.

And if his memory served, Tatsuki had invited him to learn karate more than once.

There was no helping it.

Even before he opened his limiter, his physique had already become terrifying under the influence of Fullbring, and Tatsuki knew perfectly well how strong he was.

If she could pull someone like that into her dojo, the place would be an unbeatable presence.

It was only that before his awakening, Lucas had no interest in karate, so he had never taken her up on it.

Of course, he was not planning to join now either.

He only meant to observe, pick up a little, and build a foundation.
