Lucas had read Bleach, so he knew what his Fullbring was.

Being a transmigrator did not seem to have changed it.

The medium was still his own body.Full novel: Bleach: Everyone Forgot About Chad — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Whether the Fullbring would mutate once he awakened it, he could not say.

Worth noting: some Fullbring mechanics in the manga were genuinely broken.

Chad’s was not one of them.

His was purely combat-oriented, the kind that could only stack raw stats.

And by the late stage of the story, the only one who could overpower those broken abilities through stat suppression was the stat monster himself, Kurosaki Ichigo.

Even Ichigo had needed help to put Yhwach down.

He was still planning for the future when a stream of information flooded into his mind.

“A cheat. It’s an actual cheat. Of course a transmigrator gets one.”

A look of pleasant surprise crossed his face.

There was no helping it.

A cheat was the foundation nearly every transmigrator was built on.

The specifics came with it.

His was called the Limiter System, and its function was very simple.

It unlocked his limiter.

The concept was not new to him.

Anyone who had watched One Punch Man knew what a limiter was.

Saitama went from burned-out office drone to invincible in three years precisely because he unlocked his.

His own version was more perfect, though.

No hair loss.

No loss of emotions.

“So even doing nothing, I get stronger every day. Slowly. I’ll need something faster.”

Growing stronger while lying down did work now that the limiter was off.

It just crawled.

Saitama had not gotten that strong in three years by doing nothing, and certainly not off that ridiculous training regimen.

The System spelled out the faster methods.

Training on his own.

Real combat.

In One Punch Man, after Saitama unlocked his limiter in that one fight with the Crablante, he kept himself in constant, high-intensity battle.

His early fights were not easy ones, either.

From King’s memories, the first time Saitama saved him, Saitama had been beaten until he was severely injured.

He had climbed fight by fight, risking his life from a position of weakness.

And the benefit of an unlocked limiter went past speed.

It turned a person into an unkillable cockroach with absurdly tenacious vitality.

When Saitama first faced the Crablante he was an ordinary man.

Against blows that could smash houses, he still stood up and kept fighting.

That was the limiter at work.

Anyone else taking a hit like that would not have been standing again.

There would not even have been a whole body left behind.

“Freakish vitality, plus a mechanism that turns every fight into growth.”

“As long as nothing can one-shot me outright, I can wear down even the toughest opponent until they drop.”

Only now did he understand how terrifying this thing really was.

It beat the Hōgyoku that Aizen and Urahara Kisuke had created.

Think it through.

An opponent plainly weaker than you who simply will not die.

Who stands back up no matter how badly you hurt him.

Whose strength keeps climbing the longer it drags on.

Until he finally passes you and takes you down.

How desperate would it be to face something like that?

“Right. There was an attribute panel too.”

He opened it, impatient.

〔Name: Chad〕

〔Spiritual Pressure: Ordinary Human (69%)〕

〔Abilities: Brazo Derecha de Gigante (Unawakened 80%), Brazo Izquierda del Diablo (Unawakened 5%)〕

(Spiritual Pressure ranks, lowest to highest: Ordinary Human, Academy Student, Member, Seated Officer, Lieutenant, Captain, Super Captain, Soul King.)

Very simple.

Name, pressure, abilities, each trailed by a progress bar and a percentage.

Reach a hundred percent and he broke through to the next rank.

“Ordinary Human. That’s normal, I can’t even see a Soul yet.”

“And the abilities look the same as the manga. But by the progress, the Brazo Derecha de Gigante is close to awakening.”

Eighty percent.

That was the one to chase first.

As for how, his only method right now was training his body.

His Fullbring medium was his own body, and every scrap of his superhuman strength came from that Fullbring, so improving his conditioning ought to speed the awakening along.

If training did not do it, he could only wait it out.

Asking Urahara Kisuke and the others for help was simply not viable.

He was an ordinary human with no connection to the man, and Urahara was not a simple guy at all.

Unless it became necessary, Lucas would not take the initiative to contact him.

Looking for Ginjō Kūgo and the others was even less realistic.

He had no idea where that crowd was hiding now, and in the manga, they were the ones who made contact first.

That left one other option.

Ishida Uryū.

The Uryū of this moment was still a naive kid, and his grudge was with the Shinigami, not with ordinary people.

Worth keeping as a backup.

Lucas was no Quincy and did not need to learn Quincy abilities.

He could not have learned that stuff anyway.

All he needed was a method to train and raise his spiritual pressure.

Learn that, and he could push it up fast.

Whether Uryū would actually teach him was another matter.

If he could learn it, good.

If not, he would find his own way.

Failing that, he could wait for the story to begin and learn from Yoruichi like the original Chad did, or see what he could get out of Kuchiki Rukia.

And his plan needed one more thing.

He had to follow Ichigo and barge into the Soul Society.

There was danger in it.

But without the protagonist’s group around him, who knew when he might get flagged by that creep Kurotsuchi Mayuri.

The man had always kept watch on the human world.

Being an ordinary person bought Lucas cover for now.

The moment his spiritual pressure climbed, a wild Fullbringer would be perfect material for Mayuri.
