Sorry for the delay, alot has happened over the last week. The other half might also be delayed somewhat As some family is visiting this weekend. Hopefully it will be up tomorrow.
(Pov Jasmine)
Bacon sizzled in the pan; the smell, rich, smoky, and savory, had long since spread throughout the entire kitchen. Filling every nook and cranny. It smelled delicious. The kitchen didn't face the other side of the valley. Still, the view it offered down the valley, farther into the depths of the Rockies, was stunning. The morning had long since passed; the dew had long since evaporated from the grass and foliage outside. The fog that sometimes lay down in the valley had dissipated hours earlier.
She rarely, if ever, found herself pondering over the view. Especially when it had a hint of something… Bruning? Burning?
“Shit!” She almost shouted as she forced the spatula under one of the eggs that had turned black and was charred by the pan; she threw it in the trash. The egg right next to it hadn't burnt at all. Which was weird; she had put them in at the same time. Hadn't she?
Picking out another egg from the carton, she cracked it into the pan. She was distracted, and not without reason. Last night had been fun, fantastic even. But she had still fucked up. She had drunk way too much. Not of the wine ofc. Much to her chagrin, it was a good one and both of them had barely sipped from their second glass. Pouring them out had been painful. No, she had drunk too much of Jason.
He had tasted amazing, but it was still so much that she probably would have to feed again for a while. He could never be her only food source, of course. That would kill him, slowly but surely.
She sighed as she opened the cabinet and picked out a few iron and vitamin supplements, placing them on a small plate. The oatmeal smelled amazing, if she dared say so herself. Does he like oatmeal? She really had no idea. However, the oatmeal itself wasn't the point. No, the fact was that she had kept it on a low simmer in a cast-iron pot for a while now. He would need iron after all, and quite frankly, giving him too much would be nearly impossible.
It didn't take her long to plate everything and pour the two glasses of orange juice. A small knot in her chest had been tightening since breakfast started getting ready. It wouldn't go away on its own; she knew that. No, this would take a conversation and an apology.
(Pov Jason)
Some cruel being from beyond the veil had poured sand down Jason's throat. Or at least it felt that way. He had no idea where he was. Though it was soft and dark, so very dark. Only a sliver of light seemed to frame what had to be a door, and an even smaller amount clawed its way out from the edges of… black-out curtains.
He couldn't just lie here, though he did want to, the warmth of the duvet making the thought of getting up almost heinous. Yet he knew he couldn't stay. This wasn't his bed; his bed was a hard, uncomfortable, lumpy thing. One where the mattress should have been replaced years ago.
As he tried to push himself into a sitting position, hoping to reach the edge of the massive bed, the room began to spin. He forced his eyes shut; he would just ride it out. He didn't normally have a problem getting out of bed in the morning. Something had to have happened yesterday for it to be… Oh.
Jason groaned as his cheeks grew hot enough to flash-boil water. Well, it did explain why he was naked. How could he just fall asleep like that? Did he fall asleep like that? He remembered most of it, until well, the climax, so to speak. And then she…
The room grew brighter as someone carefully opened the door.
“Jason, you gotta wake up. I made breakfast.” Jasmin's voice was soft, not low, more like someone who wants to wake someone up carefully.
“I am awake.” His voice was hoarse and gravelly. He almost winced as she fully opened the door, flooding the room with light.
“How did you sleep?” Was she apologetic? He blinked before he squinted up at her. Her eyebrows were drawn together as she walked over to the nightstand, placing both the legged trays, both loaded with food, on it.
“Well, it took me a second to remember where I was, so well, I think. How about you?” He glanced over at the food. The salty smell of bacon made his stomach grumble.
“Close your eyes.” He did as she flicked on the lights, blinking them open only a second later. “I slept fantastically; you should stay over more. I don't think I have slept that well in years.” She picked up one of the trays. Motioning cautiously for him to schuch in on the bed.
The tray she handed him was loaded with food. A large bowl of oatmeal, an egg over easy, bacon, and toast. As well as what could only be described as a massive glass of orange juice and enough pills that he suspected he could rival his grandfather. He wasn't that big of a fan of oatmeal, but he didn't mind it.
He smiled at her. “Thank you, Jasmine.” Before he gulped down half the glass.
Jasmine, for her part, was staring at her food like it was some strange arcane mystery. A problem that she needed to solve, at least judging by the tension in her jaw.
“Something on your mind?” His voice was still rough, though it had improved drastically thanks to the juice. It didn't help the rest of him, however. He still felt weak; the cottony sensation in his arms hadn't lessened. And he was fairly certain that if he tried to stand up, he would come right back down.
Jasmine pursed her lips before picking up her glass and taking a long sip. The amount of juice didn't shrink much. “Yeah, actually there is.” She let out a deep breath. “Jason-” She looked him deep in the eyes, locking his gaze with hers. “-I am sorry. I… I took things a little too far last night. I shouldn't have fed on you, at least not as much as I did. That's probably the main reason you feel like shit.”
Jason blinked. Well, that's not what I expected. It did, however, explain a few things, especially if he had, as he did far too often, at least according to his mother, slept with his mouth open.
“How… How much did you drink?”
Jasmines voice was careful, her eyes studying his face. “About a pint.” She almost winced as she said it. Though the amount didn't sound like that much, it wasn't really that much worse than a blood donation. Was it? “Which is a lot for one feeding. Especially since you had done no preparations at all, not enough fluids, the alcohol, though that would really be part of it before you were already asleep. I am sorry; I should have taken far less. It won't happen again, at least not without us talking about it first. And I should have done that while we were having sex for the first time. I don't know what you like and vice versa. And I know how feeding can affect people.”
She might be overthinking it. Last night had been… Amazing. Though he could only remember parts of the second half of it, most of which was just the strange sensation he always had when she had fed on him, combined with the strange sensitivity to stimulation. “It's fine, Jasmine. But thank. It would be nice for something less intense next time.” He hesitated for a second. “Still, I had a great first time.”
Silence hung in the air for nearly a minute, as Jasmine's eyes narrowed. “Jason, be honest with me, please.” She waited for him to nod before she continued. “Do you mean your first time or our first time, as you know, a couple?”
Jason shifted slightly, careful not to jostle the tray too much. “My first time. You know, first time. Ever”
(Pov Jasmine)
Fuuuuuck. That was bad, really bad.
The original knot of worry, the tightness in her chest that had been making itself all morning. The one that had finally started to disappear, just seconds ago. Reasserted itself with a vengeance.
Jasmine dragged a hand up over her forehead and through her hair. ”Jason, why didn't you tell me you were a virgin?”
He tilted his head slightly. “I did. Didn't I? I said I didn't feel ready. What did you think I meant by that? Also, it's kinda embarrassing.”
“I just thought you were shy. You know, not the kind of guy that wants to have sex with someone they don't know yet. I didn't think that you were still a virgin. If I knew that, last night would have been a lot less rough in general.” She sighed deeply, took his hand in hers, and gently kissed the back of it. “Your first time shouldn't have involved overstimulation and feeding. Or me tying you up for that matter. I am sorry, honey; I should have asked.”
Jason rubbed the back of his neck, though he made no move to pull his hand away from hers. “Thanks? But Jasmine, I did enjoy it.” He seemed to struggle with meeting her eyes. “It was fun. I wasn't against anything that happened either. That said, something less intense might be nice. Next time, I mean.”
The knot loosened, though it wouldn't disappear. Still, this was an improvement. At least it wasn't as bad as she thought. In some ways it was worse, though he didn't seem to think it was that bad. She would make it up to him, somehow.
She kissed the back of his hand again. “Then let's do that next time.”
They ate in silence after that. Jason devoured his food faster than he had any reason to. “Hey, Jasmine, what's the time?”
She lifted an eyebrow as she glanced at him. “Around one, why do you ask?”
She nearly dropped her cutlery as Jason coughed next to her. It was over before she could do anything to help. Leaving him staring back at her with disbelief on his face. “One! As in one PM?” Jasmine nodded. “Why didn't you wake me? It's a Tuesday. I have school.”
Jasmine waved a hand dismissively. “Jason, you were sleeping deeply. And with how last night went, I figured you needed the sleep. I already talked to Chloe, so she's covering for you. I can take you if you want, but at this point you might as well just take the day off.”
He just stared at her for a few seconds. “Jasmine, I can't just miss school because I got laid. Wake me next time, please?”
She gave him what she hoped would come across as more of a caring smile than a patronizing one. “Jason, you have been asleep for sixteen hours straight. I wasn't going to wake you after everything that happened last night. Especially on top of the last few weeks you have had. But if you wanted me to, I am sorry. Next time I will. Still, though, that's not a reason to go in today, is it?”
His eyebrows furrowed. “I guess not. But next time wake me, ok?”
She gave him a smile. “Of course, darling.”
