Energy coursed through every single marrow in my body, and I felt refreshed.

“Is this how a breakthrough feels?

But it felt like a breakthrough for a major realm, yet I only advanced one minor realm.”Full novel: Bloodline Awakening: Tyrant Dragon System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Congratulations, Host, for advancing to the 3rd Stage of the Foundation Establishment realm.

I looked at the demonic beasts around me.

They were now a bit fearful of the aura radiating around me.

“Enough for today,” Elder Mo Xuan said.

The beasts gradually withdrew, fearfully moving away from him.

Within seconds, I found myself back at the Peak.

I was still covered with a mixture of both the enemies’ blood and mine, but due to the sudden breakthrough, my body’s natural healing pace had sped up.

“You surprised me out there, Young Master,” he said plainly, a bit disappointed.

“Looks like I’m right.

You are the practical type, not those who sit down on a stool and comprehend techniques on the spot.” Intrigue entered his voice.

I bowed slightly while rejoicing internally.

I will be having it easy from now onwards.

I felt a bit smug.

“Class is over for this week.” He waved me off and headed toward his cottage.

“Why this sudden holiday?”

I was momentarily surprised.

Am I confused or what?

Why did Elder Mo Xuan look disappointed?

He wished you were bedridden right now.

You don’t know how smug he felt when you were blood-bathed during the previous training.

Well, that’s bad for him, good for me.

What a crazy old man.

I chuckled as I walked down the peak, not minding the pains I had somehow grown accustomed to over these past few days.

At the foot of the peak, I saw Mei waiting patiently for me.

“This one you’re here — have you finally recognized how wrong you are for not cheering me up when I was battling?” I said casually while walking past her.

“Young Master, are you heading to the teleportation array?”

I gave her an annoyed look and continued walking.

“Young Master, what do you think will happen if clan members trying to make use of the teleportation array see you covered in blood?”

She sounded both concerned and amused.

I stopped.

“You mean some of the clan members are there?”

Host, what do you think of this rumor — the cold son of the Patriarch was covered in blood, looking like a pig that survived slaughter?

The System’s amusement was obvious.

I touched my face, then looked at Mei.

“Do I look like a pig face?”

She covered her face while smiling.

That told me everything.

“Do you have a shortcut to my courtyard?” I asked, suddenly tense.

Still covering her mouth, Mei said, “I will call on a mount to take us to the courtyard.”

She brought out a jade whistle and blew it.

A piercing majestic sound suddenly filled the Sky

A magnificent immortal Kirin, covered in snow white with a dip of blood on its foot, landed in front of Mei.

“This is Chang, my mount,” Mei said while stroking her.

“She’s beautiful.”

Mei communicated with her, and she lowered herself fully for us to climb on.

That’s what I did.

“Young Master, before I forget.

The clan passed a message this morning that Princess Xue will be arriving from the Western Gate tomorrow.”

She spoke with seriousness.

“Her name is Xue.”

I pondered on it as the Kirin took off.

At my courtyard, after I was done bathing and changing my clothes, I went to my study room.

“Do I really have to read all these details?”

I scratched my head while looking at the heap of reports on my desk.

I picked one up, then dropped it.

“I don’t need to appear like a scholar or a young brat who knows info about her.

What will be the fun in that?”

I went to the meditation mat in the center of my courtyard garden.

I sat there and began reviewing the Sword Art, while also checking out my core and the changes so far.

Tomorrow Afternoon.

When the Sun was at its zenith, I stood there with Mei, dressed lavishly, with twelve guards standing motionless like statues.

This will really be the first time I’m actually going to see her face without it being covered by a veil.

Are you excited, Host?

Don’t really know.

You know how this princess behaves.

I don’t think I’m ready for any headache now.

Mei suddenly tapped me.

I gave her a side gaze.

She pointed toward the sun.

I looked up.

Something was coming out from the sun.

It looked like a dot, gradually expanding at a frightening speed.

So what will I call this one — “Descended from the Sun”?

A carriage carried by two Storm Drakes descended from the sky, accompanied by twelve rows of guards and a Sunfire Phoenix radiating its brilliance.

What a grand entrance.

The carriage stopped in front of the Western Gate.

The twelve guards standing with me bowed toward it with solemn postures.

I remained composed while Mei stood still a step behind me.

When the carriage touched the floor of my clan, the guards accompanying her made way while the Phoenix stood beside the carriage.

The carriage curtain was opened by a maid accompanying them.

I peeked through the slightly opened gap.

And for the first time—

I saw my fiancée’s true face.

Which looked as if she’s already bored and tired of my existence.

Beautiful.

Cold and entirely unimpressed

I must admit, Host.

Your days will be filled with bliss.

VOTE for me!
