ZAITIAN’S POV

At the Dining Hall

I sat down in front of the dining table with my mouth slightly agape.Full novel: Bloodline Awakening: Tyrant Dragon System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

So we have this kind of delicious food and I’ve never eaten any of it, even though I’m the Patriarch’s son?

Rows of delicious meals were spread across the vast table, their fragrance practically mouthwatering.

“Mei.

Why haven’t I seen any of this whenever you bring food to me?

Not even one of them.

What’s this?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Mei stopped arranging the table, which several maids were helping her with.

“Young Master Zaitian, the Head Chef said the Elders mandated that the Princess eat the best food in the clan whenever she’s here,” she said calmly.

“I’m not asking about her.

I’m asking about me.

Why have I never eaten any of this food even though I’m one of the heirs of this clan?”

I was clearly annoyed by how partial the clan was.

Mei sighed.

“Young Master Zaitian.

You owe the clan tremendously.”

“What do you mean?”

I was genuinely confused.

“I owe the clan?

Did I ever request anything that made me owe them?”

Looks like you haven’t escaped debt, Host.

“It accumulated from the immortal heavenly treasures used on you during your sixteen years in a coma.”

I shut my mouth.

I tapped the table in frustration.

“Is that why, since I began my training a few days ago, I haven’t received any cultivation resources from the clan?”

Mei nodded.

I suddenly snapped my head toward the entrance.

Look who’s here.

Princess Xue walked toward the dining table gracefully, an innocent smile on her face.

She wore a white royal outfit, her personal maid walking beside her.

“Did I make you wait so long, Young Master?” Princess Xue asked with a smile.

“No,” I replied smoothly, with a cold edge to my voice.

Can you just sit down?

I’m holding back my urges.

I looked back at my food.

She sat down on the chair opposite me.

“So, Young Master.

What plans do you have for this princess during her stay in your abode?” she asked, resting her chin on her hands while looking at me playfully.

“Where do you want to visit?”

I continued eating after she sat down.

“You can take me to the clan’s treasure vault or to your room.

I don’t mind,” she said with a teasing smirk.

I paused at her words before continuing to eat without looking at her.

“Those are out of the options.

If the clan sees me within a mile of the vault, I’ll be arrested by the Law Enforcement officers.”

I said it calmly.

She simply shrugged and gracefully picked up her utensils before eating majestically.

“Do you like to spar, Princess?” I suddenly asked out of the blue.

The hall went quiet.

Mei gave me a strange look.

So did the maid.

An amused smile flashed across Princess Xue’s face before she masked it perfectly.

Do you want to be roasted like a chicken?

She’s at the Peak Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm.

Wait.

What?

“What do you think, Young Master?” Princess Xue asked, looking at me innocently.

“Do you want to bully this fragile princess because of her affections for you?”

She looked like someone who had been wronged.

“Young Master Zaitian.

She’s at the Peak Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm,” Mei hurriedly sent through a voice transmission.

“I don’t mean fighting.

I meant eating,” I said smoothly.

“You know that would be unladylike.”

We remained quiet until dinner was over.

She didn’t eat much, but the vast table was cleaned dry.

“Didn’t know you could eat that much.”

Princess Xue stood up.

“Young Master.

This princess is bored.

Don’t tell me this is how my days will be at your abode.”

I remained seated.

She’s right, Host.

You are boring.

I’m an introvert by birth.

What do you expect me to do?

Why don’t you give me some guidance?

I said it somewhat helplessly.

“Don’t be annoyed, Princess.

My Young Master has been spending his time training, and he doesn’t know much about things outside fighting,” Mei said smoothly.

Her statement made me shoot her an annoyed glare.

Who made you my mouthpiece?

The maid accompanying Princess Xue then spoke, making the matter escalate.

“Her Highness has always admired you from afar.

But the thing is, she doesn’t know how to communicate her feelings apart from fighting.”

What the heck do you mean?

Host.

Get ready to charge onto a brutal battlefield.

I turned to the maid with an expressionless look.

“What’s your name?”

“My name is Lian,” she replied with smooth courtesy.

“So what do you think, Young Master Zaitian?

Why don’t we communicate our feelings through battle?”

Princess Xue said it with a serene, harmless smile.

I looked at Mei.

Mei looked at Lian.

Lian smiled.

Host.

Run.
