Tang Dynasty Club

In the private room, Su Ning had lost track of how long she’d been drinking. She only knew she had forced herself to finish an entire bottle of wine worth eighteen thousand, enduring its strong, throat-burning sensation.

“Mu Shao, one bottle finished. Eighteen thousand, remember to give me eighteen thousand,” Su Ning drunkenly boasted to Mu Shao. Her palm-sized face was flushed with an unnatural redness from intoxication.

Under the dim lighting, her youthful aura became particularly pronounced, especially with the dazed seductiveness in her large, clear eyes.

“I can still drink! I want another bottle!”

Staggering, Su Ning grabbed another bottle from the cart. One more bottle would mean thirty-six thousand total – enough to securely cover Grandma’s medical expenses.

Without hesitation, she picked up the bottle opener, but her drunken state made coordination difficult. She struggled unsuccessfully to open the bottle.

Suddenly, a hand with distinct knuckles covered her delicate one.

The next moment, playful words sounded by her ear, “Wine-selling girl, you’re already drunk. You can’t drink anymore.”

Su Ning pulled her hand back from Mu Chengyu’s touch. “I’m not drunk. I can still drink. I can finish another bottle.”

Her target was thirty-six thousand, not just eighteen thousand.

“Since you still want to play, let’s try something different. How about finger-guessing game?”

“No, I want to drink. I need to earn money. I need thirty-six thousand.”

Su Ning pushed Mu Chengyu away drunkenly. “Move, I need to open the bottle.”

Seeing this, Mu Chengyu directly grabbed Su Ning’s hand, subtly caressing it:

“Since you insist, I’ll indulge you. But let’s be clear – you must drink everything. If you spit out even a mouthful, our agreement becomes void. Plus, there’ll be an additional penalty.”

“Take off her clothes! Mu Shao, make her take off her clothes!”

Another man sitting on the sofa, as if having planned this long ago, immediately blurted out.

Mu Chengyu threw an appreciative glance at the man and declared firmly, “Right, take off your clothes!”

Su Ning clenched her teeth and spoke to Mu Chengyu. She had known this Mu Shao was no good person, but hadn’t expected him to reveal his true nature so quickly.

Lifting her dazed eyes, she glared at Mu Chengyu and mocked him word by word, “Take off my clothes? Hmph, I guarantee your eyes won’t be able to handle what they see!”

Su Ning knew better than anyone what was on her back!

For five years, the people Li Boyan had arranged in prison had left shameful marks on her back – she knew this better than anyone!

Never mind men, even women would lose their appetite at the sight!

“Heh, how interesting. Enough talk, start drinking!”

Mu Chengyu snatched the wine bottle and opener from Su Ning’s hands, opening it and pouring a full glass for her.

Su Ning never had much of a tolerance for alcohol, and the wine she was selling was premium—the kind that starts off mild but packs a heavy delayed kick. Although she wasn’t completely drunk, her stomach was already full, and she was forcing herself to try and earn another eighteen thousand.

After opening the bottle and downing two glasses, she truly couldn’t drink any more.

Mu Chengyu had long seen that Su Ning couldn’t hold her liquor. She was stubbornly pushing herself just to oppose him, so he had no choice but to raise the stakes to match her defiance.

After she finished those two glasses, he reminded her, “Wine-selling girl, as I said earlier, you can’t spit out a single drop. If you do, you lose.”

But as soon as the words left his mouth, the wine Su Ning had been holding in her mouth came spilling out.

She simply couldn’t swallow it—her stomach felt ready to burst.

“Wine-selling girl, you’ve lost,” Mu Chengyu said with a laugh.

Immediately, voices chimed in one after another.

“Take off your clothes!”

“Take off your clothes!”

“Take off your clothes!”

“…”

Su Ning could no longer hear anything. The only thought in her mind was that she had brought this on herself. She knew she couldn’t drink any more, yet she had pretended to be capable just to earn that thirty-six thousand.

It was true—during her five years in prison, she had developed a strong resilience to pressure, but drinking was one skill she had never practiced.

She thought she could handle it!

Little did she know her stomach would fail her, unable to hold even two bottles’ worth.

The medical fees—eighteen thousand—had just slipped through her fingers like this!

Su Ning’s heart ached with overwhelming regret.

Perhaps it was the alcohol making her vulnerable, but tears welled up in her eyes.

The woman named Na Na walked over, ruthlessly grabbed her hair, and yanked her head up. “Trying to cry? Hoping tears will win you sympathy? Hmph, I advise you not to play such cheap tricks. Let me tell you, Mu Shao despises women’s tears the most—they’re the filthiest deception in the world!”

The woman’s words sobered Su Ning up a little. Her scalp stung from the tight grip, and in retaliation, she seized the woman’s hair.

“Ah!”

The woman immediately let go in pain, shouting, “How dare you grab my hair? Let go!”

“You grabbed mine first—why shouldn’t I?” With that, Su Ning shoved her away.

The woman wanted to lunge at Su Ning, but faced with Su Ning’s cold, fierce expression, she hesitated.

Just then, someone spoke up:

“Hey, if you two want to fight, do it later. Wine-selling girl, hurry up and take your clothes off.”

Na Na seized the opportunity to join in, “Yeah, don’t think you can weasel your way out. Strip, now!”

You bitch, how dare you pull my hair? Just wait—I’ll spread your nude photos everywhere. Let’s see how you’ll ever show your face in Jiang City again!

Su Ning knew full well that the humiliation these people were imposing was something they didn’t deserve to witness. Yet, as their relentless demands echoed around her, she couldn’t help but clutch her chest anxiously.

Aside from the abuse she’d endured from women in prison, she had never undressed in front of men. She knew all too well what would follow if she did.

“Mu Shao, I’ll keep drinking. I can finish this entire bottle. I don’t want your money—just please, don’t make me take off my clothes.”

Su Ning admitted she wanted to go back on her word. No matter how difficult or painful things had been in the past, she had never reneged on a promise.

But this time, she was breaking her word—for the first time ever.

Yet, to these wealthy young elites, her plea was nothing more than entertainment after a good meal, only fueling their amusement.

“Trying to back out? No chance. Strip her clothes off, now!”

With Mu Chengyu’s single command, it was clear Su Ning wouldn’t escape today.

Sure enough, the next second, Su Ning was pinned against the bar counter by two men.

She struggled, her eyes blazing crimson: “You beasts, get away from me!”
