Enhancing Physical Body strength was no easy task.
In fact, whether it was increasing Soul Power or physical strength, both were far more difficult than increasing one’s cultivation base.
The reason Xiao Yan’s Soul Power and Physical Body strength currently exceeded his cultivation base was due to his two Golden Fingers.
Moving from a Tier 4 Magical Beast Physical Body to a Tier 5 Magical Beast Physical Body was like the gap between a Dou Ling and a Dou Wang—it was a qualitative transformation.
Ordinary Demonic Beasts usually underwent Awakening of their intelligence at Tier 5 as well.
Breaking through from Tier 4 to Tier 5 was extraordinarily difficult.
Even though Xiao Yan had collected so many Demonic Beast carcasses for him to devour and absorb, he still didn’t have much confidence.
In the end, the Spirit-Devouring Body-Refining Technique could only devour a portion of a Demonic Beast’s essence blood, not its entire cultivation base.
If he could absorb everything, then absorbing the full essence of just a single Demonic Beast like the Amethyst Winged Lion King would directly boost his Physical Body strength to that of a Tier 6 Magical Beast.
In reality, such a Heaven-Defying Cultivation Technique that ignored loss didn’t exist at all.
If he only absorbed Demonic Beast essence blood, he would need the essence blood of over a dozen Tier 5 Magical Beasts, or at least three Tier 6 Magical Beasts, to help him reach Tier 5.
Fortunately, Xiao Yan had already improved his Tier 4 Physical Body strength quite a bit beforehand.
Now, absorbing all these Demonic Beast carcasses would likely be enough.
“Teacher, act as my Protector!” Xiao Yan said to the ring.
Inside the ring, Yao Lao’s Soul body drifted out.
Looking at Xiao Yan, he said, “Even though it isn’t the first time, every time I think of your Cultivation Technique that can absorb Demonic Beast essence blood to strengthen your Physical Body strength, I still feel amazed.”
“You brat, your luck is so profound that even this old man envies it.”
Xiao Yan gave a chuckle and said, “Look at it from another angle—if I have such great luck and grow to a certain height, you’ll still be my teacher.”
“When the time comes, you won’t be doing bad either.
Indirectly speaking, your old self’s luck isn’t bad either.”
Yao Lao stroked his beard and nodded in agreement, “That’s not wrong.”
“But speaking of which, it’s still you brat who has good luck to have a teacher like me.”
“No, no, no, it’s still Teacher who has good luck to have a Disciple like me,” Xiao Yan hastily denied.
The air fell silent for a moment before both the old and the young burst out laughing.
After the moment of joy passed, Xiao Yan got down to business.
He first walked over to the three Tier 5 Magical Beasts, pulled out a large enough vessel, and began collecting the essence blood from their hearts.
In a short while, he had gathered it all.
As for the remaining flesh, its energy content wasn’t low either, making it quite suitable for eating.
Then, Xiao Yan took out another vessel to collect the essence blood of the Amethyst Winged Lion King.
Once the collection was complete, Xiao Yan placed the two huge vessels beside him and stripped off all his clothes.
Taking out a bathtub from his storage ring, Xiao Yan poured all the essence blood of the three Tier 5 Magical Beasts into the tub and immediately operated the Spirit-Devouring Body-Refining Technique.
As the Cultivation Technique ran, threads of essence blood seeped through his pores into Xiao Yan’s body, transforming into pure energy that nourished his flesh, blood, muscle, and bones.
Time slowly passed.
Once the essence blood of the three Tier 5 Magical Beasts was fully digested, Xiao Yan’s entire body crackled and popped like popping corn.
His Physical Body strength shot up another notch.
If categorized finely, it was likely around mid-Tier 4.
After stretching his body, Xiao Yan didn’t hesitate at all and immediately poured in the Amethyst Winged Lion King’s essence blood, operating the technique once more.
The moment the essence blood of a Tier 6 Magical Beast entered his body, he clearly felt the energy was far more majestic, and the boost it brought was vastly greater than that of a Tier 5 Magical Beast.
When half the essence blood was consumed, his Physical Body had already entered high-Tier 4 level.
However, even after Xiao Yan finished absorbing the remaining half of the essence blood, he still hadn’t touched Tier 5.
“Teacher!” Xiao Yan called out.
Yao Lao shook his head helplessly, acting as manual labor as he sliced open the hearts of the Tier 3 Magical Beasts one by one, extracting their essence blood, and putting it into the bathtub.
While Yao Lao extracted them on the side, Xiao Yan absorbed them at an extremely fast pace.
As soon as Yao Lao poured some in, Xiao Yan immediately absorbed it completely clean.
As essence blood from head after head of Tier 3 Magical Beasts was poured into the tub, Xiao Yan’s Physical Body strength finally climbed slowly toward the level of a Tier 5 Magical Beast.
Until the essence blood of the very last Tier 3 Magical Beast—the cub of the Amethyst Winged Lion King—was placed into the bathtub, Xiao Yan’s Physical Body strength finally broke through the unseen boundary, advancing to the next level.
His blood Qi surged, and scalding steam rose from Xiao Yan’s body.
A powerful Physique comparable to a Tier 5 Magical Beast made even Yao Lao’s Soul body feel a subtle sense of threat.
Xiao Yan stood up from the tub and changed into his original clothes, only to find the clothes were a bit too small.
Looking himself up and down, he realized he seemed to have grown a bit in every aspect—as if this Breakthrough had caused his body’s development to directly reach Perfection.
Moreover, his body seemed to trend more and more toward Perfection.
Every muscle and every part of his structure radiated an indescribable aesthetic beauty.
“Tsk tsk, you brat’s luck is truly terrifying.
This Body Refining Cultivation Technique you Cultivate, this old man guarantees it is no lower than Heaven Rank.”
“Not only does this technique allow you to absorb Demonic Beast essence blood to rapidly boost your Physical Body strength, but it even subtly grows your body toward the most perfect state.
A Tier 5 Magical Beast is a watershed among Demonic Beasts, and for you, it must be a massive change as well.”
“This is your first transformation, and there should be more in the future.
Once it’s truly completed, your body might…” Yao Lao suddenly trailed off.
Xiao Yan had been listening intently to Yao Lao’s analysis, so Yao Lao’s sudden pause made his heart itch with impatience.
He immediately pressed, “Might what?
Teacher, just say it!”
Yao Lao chuckled, “Heh heh, this old man doesn’t know either.
I’m just making a wild guess.”
“Besides, you brat, stop showing off your goods and put some clothes on quick.”
“This Breakthrough of yours took quite some time.
If you don’t hurry back, that little girl will worry about you.”
Xiao Yan rubbed his nose sheepishly and quickly pulled out some looser clothing from his storage ring.
Since he had planned to come out to train for a long time, he had prepared many sets of clothes before setting off, so he didn’t need to worry about clothing now.
After dressing, Xiao Yan packed everything up and left the Amethyst Winged Lion King’s Immortal Cave with Yao Lao.
Standing on the extending cliff ledge, the wings on his back unfolded, and he was about to fly toward the small valley.
But in the next instant, a mysterious sensation made him stop in his tracks.
Xiao Yan turned to look toward the deepest part of the Magical Beast Mountain Range and said to Yao Lao, “Teacher, did you sense it?”
Yao Lao was puzzled, “Sense what?”
“I can’t put it into words specifically, but there’s a faint feeling, as if there is something in that place that strongly attracts my Physique,” Xiao Yan said.
Yao Lao took a thoughtful stance, extending his Soul Power as far as possible toward the deepest part of the Magical Beast Mountain Range.
After a moment, a glint flashed in his eyes, and he said with slight excitement, “Brat, this teacher of yours said your luck was profound.
In the deepest part of the Magical Beast Mountain Range, I felt…”
“The aura of a Heavenly Flame!”
