"Valessia, just like before, I pledge my loyalty to you," Sylus said looking directly into her eyes with a grip that didn’t waver at all before he slowly let her hand go. "Now is that good enough for you?"

Valessia let out a soft melodic giggle and her whole face flushed warm. "You silly boy... you didn’t need to make such a dramatic scene about it."

Sylus stood up and glanced back toward the quiet mansion and rolled his shoulders out with a stretch. "Well anyway shall we head back inside? I spent half the night digging up dirt on that old bastard and due to that my entire body needs a good rest."Full novel: Butler's Path to Royalty: I Conquer Every Villainess — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Yes," Valessia smiled and her voice was lighter than it had been in months. "Let’s go."

___________

Morning arrived way too fast.

Bright sun rolled over the Astria estate grounds and threw long golden light across the courtyard and Sylus stood by the grand iron gates watching Valessia climb gracefully into her noble carriage and settle onto the velvet cushions as the driver got the horses ready.

She looked out the window at him.

"I’ll be staying at the Academy for two days," she said. "I’ll be back the day after tomorrow. Keep an eye on the estate while I’m away."

Sylus pressed his palm over his heart and bowed "Yes Boss." And threw in a crisp thumbs-up. "Leave everything to me."

The carriage kicked up dust and rolled out onto the main road and disappeared around the bend.

The hours drifted by and Sylus went around managing the estate staff and making sure the whole household kept running smoothly without Corvus’s poisonous presence rotting everything from the inside.

By the time evening settled over the grounds, he ended up sitting alone on the marble steps of the main courtyard staring out at the horizon with his chin in his palm.

’Damn. Trying to figure out what’s actually happening behind the scenes in this world is a massive pain in the ass.’

He narrowed his eyes and chewed on the thought.

’The anime spent ninety percent of its screentime inside the Academy showing off the main character and the villainesses only in that setting. It barely touched on backstories or the internal politics of their individual households. Which means if I stay here as just a mansion butler my reach is completely limited and I’m basically flying blind.’

’The real action is at the Academy. That’s where the target villainesses actually are.’

A wicked grin spread across his face slowly.

’Even though I’m a commoner without noble blood there are exceptions for personal retainers accompanying noble students. When Valessia gets back I just need to make sure she uses her authority to get me a seat in those classrooms right beside her. Easy.’

He wandered back inside and ended up pausing in front of a full-length gilded mirror lining the quiet hallway outside Valessia’s private chambers and for the first time since transmigrating into this body he actually looked at his reflection properly. This story is hosted at novelping . com.

Striking crimson eyes. Messy platinum-white hair. Sharp jawline. Skin so pale it was almost offensive about it.

He struck a quick pose and ran a hand through his hair and smirked at himself.

’Damn. I’m easily way hotter than that bland forgettable anime protagonist. It’s almost a crime to be hiding a face like this under a butler uniform.’

He was still admiring himself like a completely reasonable and humble person when his gaze caught something in the mirror’s reflection behind him.

The heavy oak door to Valessia’s bedchamber was resting slightly open.

’Huh?’

He turned around and stared at it.

That was strange. Valessia was obsessive about her privacy and would never in a million years leave her bedroom door cracked while she was away at the Academy overnight. He knew that much about her from the show.

Sylus moved silently across the plush carpet toward the entrance and before he could even touch the handle a frantic hushed voice floated out through the gap.

"Fuck! Where the hell is it?!"

’Someone’s inside her room?’

He flattened himself against the wall and peeked through the crack and the moment he caught sight of who was in there.

It was her.

The same stunning woman with the absolutely catastrophic figure he had walked face-first into yesterday, now in a tight black uniform with her full rose-pink hair tied up in a messy bun and her narrow waist making the rest of her look even more outrageously proportioned than he remembered. She was currently tearing through the carved wooden drawers of Valessia’s vanity table.

She was definitely not in there to clean anything.

"I knew it!" she muttered furiously under her breath, yanking another drawer half off its rails. "I never should have trusted that useless old fool Corvus! If I had just taken matters into my own hands from the start I’d be living like a queen by now!"

She grabbed a pair of delicate diamond earrings and a gold-encrusted pocket watch and shoved them both straight down the front of her low-cut dress without a single hesitation and the tight fabric did its best to accommodate the new additions pushing deep into her already overflowing cleavage.

’So she was working with Corvus?’ Sylus thought, watching with pure entertained amusement from the doorway. ’Interesting.’

"No no this isn’t nearly enough," she mumbled to herself scanning the lavish room with hungry green eyes. "I need more before someone walks in on me. Just where does that high-and-mighty woman keep her actual safe?!"

Growing clumsy with the rush she hurried over to the grand canopy bed and dropped down onto her knees and bent completely forward to peer underneath the frame. Read this novel at novelping(.)com for the best experience.

Bending over like that pushed her short apron all the way up and stretched her uniform tight over her thick plush thighs.

Her massive breasts practically grazed the floor as she blindly swept her arms under the frame with her hips swaying in frantic frustration.

Sylus looked at it like a man who forgot what he was here for.

"Ugh not even here!" She scrambled back to her feet slightly out of breath with her cheeks flushed and her hair coming loose from the bun.

She whipped around and her eyes landed on a heavy oil painting hanging near the bedside table.

She shoved the frame aside fast and her whole face lit up.

Behind it sat a hidden wall vault stuffed to the absolute brim with glittering gold coins.

"JACKPOT!"

She gasped and jumped up and down on the spot in pure giddy excitement and her heavy chest bounced wildly with every single hop.

Without wasting another second she started scooping fistfuls of gold coins into her uniform pockets and her apron and shoved a few extra straight into her cleavage on top of the jewelry already living there, her cheeks going rosy with the flush of someone whose greed had just been fully satisfied.

"This is plenty! More than enough!" she giggled breathlessly. "Now all I have to do is slip out the back gates and vanish forever and nobody will ever—"

"Amazing. Mind sharing a bit of that gold with me?"

The rose-haired maid went completely, totally still.

Every drop of color drained from her face in one clean second. She turned her head slowly and stiffly toward the doorway with her arms still clutching a pile of coins to her chest and her green eyes found the figure leaning casually against the doorframe with his arms crossed.

"Y-You...?" she squeaked.

Sylus gave her a slow amused wave.

"Well well. We meet again, miss maid."
