"What the hell are you doing?!" she hissed, as he locked the door behind. "This is not part of the mission!"
"Your lip is bleeding and you're attracting unwanted attention," he remarked. "The lass has been eyeing you non-stop and I don't think it's because she wants to sleep with you."
She raised a couple of fingers to her lip and saw blood decorating her tips. She cursed as she looked up at him slightly panicked. He dug into the champagne bucket and grabbed some ice chips, enveloping it into the serving towel.
He dabbed her lip gently as she expressed a sigh. The coolness of the ice was soothing the pain and soreness of her lip as the towel was absorbing the blood.
MacTavish' eyes travelled in the upper corner. An intermittent red light indicated a camera cleverly seated within the ceiling.
"Shite, there's a camera. Here, hold this."
She pressed the towel close to her lip as she narrowed her eyes.
"What are you – eeek!"
MacTavish slid his arms underneath her ass and picked her up. Instinctively, she wrapped her legs around his hips as he carried her to the sofa. Sitting down, Reynolds was forced to straddle him, her back to the camera. She clutched on to his shoulders, balancing herself out.
Her already skimpy dress rode up even further as soon as she straddled him, revealing the red lace underwear. She grabbed the hem of her dress and tried to push it between her legs, but he snatched her wrist and pushed it to the side.
"You wouldn't cover yourself up in front of the boyfriend who is in a private room in a sex club. Act natural."
Feeling her face going red, she obeyed him, exposing herself fully to him. Out of respect, he kept his eyes glued on hers, but the smirk was unmistakable.
"I guess you have a matching set on," he observed, glancing over to her red, lace bra peeking underneath her dress. "You know, if you kiss me-"
"Shut up."
She tried to dab her lip to absorb most of the blood, but he was making it impossible to focus. His hands dragged over her thighs back and forth, his breath hot on her neck.
"You asked me if I had a girlfriend, but I should've asked you the same thing. You feel too rigid, love. Too tense. Been a long time since you've been felt up by someone? Do you have a special someone waiting for you back home, ducky?"
"Stop calling me that."
"Well, do you? Boyfriend? Girlfriend?"
"No," she mumbled. "No boyfriend."
"Hmm."
"Not that it's any of your business but I have been felt up by someone recently," she smirked, her eyes gleaming with lust.
"One last shag before being locked up with us, eh? Sounds intriguing," he laughed. "So, tell me ducky, which position is your favourite? Is you on top of me one of them?"
She scoffed and tried to push herself off him but his iron grip on her back kept her in place.
"Booked the room for a whole hour, huh?" she asked, looking around her. "That's ambitious."
"I'm no one-minute man, love."
She snorted. "That's what they all say."
"You've been with below average lads. I can show you a good time and spend the whole night without needing a break. We can give it a go, if you wish."
His hand increased pressure on her back, forcing her breasts closer to his face. Biting his lower lip, he glanced into her eyes enjoying her trying to squirm away. Reynolds placed her hands on the back of the sofa and pushed herself away.
She cleared her throat and realised that her lip has healed up enough to avoid bleeding all over the place. Gathering her composure, she smoothed her dress hiding her red face from him. This asshole is getting on her nerves and enjoying the ride doing so.
"Ready to move on, John boy?"
"Oohh, we already gave each other pet names? We're practically married!"
They left the private room and proceeded through another door shifting to a much calmer atmosphere. There were still couples making out but none of the madness from the red corridor and private rooms. As they turned the corner, they nearly bumped into two women who were locked into each other, oblivious to the outside world. She glared at him to stop staring and he shrugged.
They busted through the office's lock and Reynolds went straight for the computer while MacTavish kept as a lookout near the door. She stuck the pen drive in, and multiple words and sentences started shifting up the screen. The process did not take long, and it finished with intermittent beeping. She snatched the drive and made their way out with MacTavish leading the way.
Murmurs were heard from around the corner, and he stopped abruptly. Reynolds slammed hard into him and cursed. He grabbed her by her arm and forced her back against the wall. Without warning, he slammed his lips into her with crushing force. Two men passed by; the same ones that guarded Al-Jabbar in the club. That's where she understood the assignment; they had to sell it, or their brains were going to be spilled all over the walls over the next minute.
The kiss intensified as she ran her fingers through his hair. Their tongues fighting against each other's. Before entering the office, one of the guards stopped in his tracks to enjoy the show. Reynolds switched positions with MacTavish to give him a better view, banging him against the wall in the process.
His hand travelled over her back and down her backside while the other rested on her breast, his thumb tracing her lace bra that was peaking from underneath the dress. With his hand gently squeezing her breast, she realised that her brain started to freeze at his touch, and her focus was slipping. The hand on her behind was restless and continued shifting between her legs his fingers pressing hard. A loud moan escaped her lips, and her fingernails dug into his shoulders.
Loud Arabic echoed from the office, and the other guard finally closed the door behind him. Eyes wide at the recent exchange, Reynolds's chest was rising and dropping at an alarmingly fast rate, her heart beating hard against her rib cage. Her eyes flicked to MacTavish, who met her with a dark, sultry look.
"Umm..." she stammered. "Umm... w-we should go."
"Aye," he agreed, trying to gulp down the lump in his throat.
Hastily, they made their way through the red corridor, but he was not paying any attention this time. His mind was in a haze, and he needed to clear the brain fog so he could remain concentrated, and they could extract safely. Reynolds did not dare even peer at him. She kept looking straight on, clutching her bag tightly to her.
Outside, the fresh air hit MacTavish's lungs like a huge sigh of relief. They shuffled hurried towards the exfil point. At least, the mission has been a success.
The next day...
Back at the base, Reynolds opened her eyes and stretched, emitting demonic voices. They had arrived early in the morning, so she held on to the intel as Billy was sleeping and she trusted no one with it. It took her some time to fall asleep as she always took extra-long showers after she would visit these kinds of places. Trying to scrub away the sins that clung to her skin. Her shoulders felt heavy as she sat on the side of the bed, her brain replaying the scene from the night before.
She tried to avoid letting her mind focus on what had occurred during the mission. MacTavish's behaviour infuriated her. What she thought was going to be a straightforward mission, turned into his playground to make her miserable. She'll make him pay for it.
She put on the usual black t-shirt and grey trousers, grabbed the devices and headed off to see Billy.
In the ops centre, Billy was typing away, his brown eyes scanning five screens, switching from one to another with an uncanny speed. People who did not know him, called him a tech wizard, people who did, called him a tech god.
Graduated from MIT, Billy was nothing short of genius. First in his class, his exceptional memory skills were absurd to say the least. In spite of being slightly skittish and a loner to boot, he had the kindest heart. When operating with Cobalt Strategic, Billy would be on the other side of the comms guiding you along the way. Since Cobalt operated often on solo missions, the only one you would want in your ear, was him.
Coming from the elite Rosenberg family, Billy was never short of money or status. Nonetheless, he cut ties with his family and tried making it on his own. That is one of the reasons that he would prefer to be called Billy as it was considered quite blasphemous for his family, and he loved sticking it to them whenever possible.
"I got the intel for you Billy," said Reynolds, as she sat down near him.
He ran his fingers through his unruly brown hair. He took the smartphone and pen drive and started inserting cables in them.
"Chris, how'd it go?" he asked, as he analysed the data popping up in front of him.
"We're both alive, so that's that."
"Are you alright?" he asked, sounding concerned.
Reynolds was lost in thought. Truthfully, she was fine, there was nothing to complain about. Yet she could not warm up to the other men on base. She felt unwelcome and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
"Get me Matthews on the horn please."
Billy complied and opened a communication channel for her. A brash voice sounded from the speaker.
"What is it, Billy?"
"Sir, intel from the Al-Jabbar mission is currently being processed."
"Good job. When it's done. We'll send it to our intelligence team."
"Reynolds is here she wants to talk to you."
Billy went to leave the room to give her privacy, but she stopped him.
"Sir, since the mission has been completed, does this mean I can return to base?" she asked.
"No, you're to remain there until further orders."
"But Shepherd wanted me specifically for this mission. It's done, there is no need for me here," she said, her temper rising.
"Christianne, is everything ok there?"
"Yes," she said through gritted teeth. "I just want to leave."
"It's a negatory on that. You're staying there until I tell you otherwise."
With that, the call ended leaving Reynolds seething in her seat. Billy peered at her, slightly worried.
"Listen," he started, "I don't blame you for wanting to leave. I mean, what the hell kinda lieutenant walks around with a ghost mask like it's Halloween? And what the hell did he mean by Billy the Goat?!"
Reynolds laughed heartily and hugged him.
"You're a great friend Billy. I would gladly die for you."
"Please don't," he implored, "there's no need for that."
He chuckled as she turned on her heel to leave Billy working in peace.
