“If you aren’t going to chain, Frenzy’s effect continues.”
Luo Bai turned over his Deck and Extra Deck with an expressionless face, threw two cards into the graveyard, and then shuffled the Deck out of habit.
“Diplos and Stealthbergia sent to the graveyard, Fusion Summon…”
Then, he skillfully rummaged through his Extra Deck and picked out a certain Prismatic Secret Rare card.
“<Dinomorphia Kentregina>.”
Seeing that Melonica didn’t respond, Luo Bai kindly reminded: “I have sent a card from my Deck to the graveyard, which triggered <Vampire Kingdom>’s Card Destruction effect.”
<Vampire Kingdom>’s Card Destruction is a must-go-through effect after meeting its effect condition.
“Ah?” Melonia was stunned for a moment, and suddenly realized that this was indeed the case.
Normally, she would find a way to activate Kingdom’s Card Destruction effect by herself.
This time though, it was Luo Bai, her opponent, who took the initiative to help activate it, leaving her a bit unable to react.
On the contrary, Luo Bai, as her opponent, was the first to react to Kingdom’s effect.
“Does this person know more about Vampires than me?” Ann absurd thought crossed her mind for a moment, but Melonica frantically threw it away.
“If that’s the case, I won’t be polite.
<Vampire Kingdom>’s effect activates!
I send <Vampire Retainer> from my Deck to the graveyard and destroy your <Dinomorphia Kentregina>!”
“OK.” Luo Bai nodded, flipped a set card and spoke: “I spend half my LP to chain for C2, I activate <Dinomorphia Brute>.
I destroy Kentregina and your backrow, and then play half of my LP and banish <Dinomorphia Frenzy> to chain for C3, I activate Kentregina’s effect.”
“Her effect becomes the same as <Dinomorphia Frenzy>, and thus, I perform a Deck Fusion.
Do you have a response?”
“No.” Melonica frowned and scratched her head, feeling that she had destroyed the wrong card.
“Chain processing.” Luo Bai began to skillfully move about his cards on the field.
“C3: Kentregina’s effect, I send Stealthbergia and Therizia to the graveyard, I Fusion Summon my big bro…”
“<Dinomorphia Rexterm, 3000/0>.”
“C2: <Dinomorphia Brute> effect activates, Kentregina and your set card are destroyed.”
The two cards were successfully destroyed.
What she had set was actually <Sakuretsu Armor>.
It’s too ancient of a card.
Inwardly complaining that, Luo Bai continued:
“C1: Your Kingdom’s Destruction effect activates, but my Kentregina had already been destroyed.”
“That said, I’m not done yet.
I open another chain, Kentregina’s effect activates upon destruction activates, I Special Summon Diplos from my graveyard.
Upon Special Summon, Diplos’ effect activates, I send <Dinomorphia Domain> to the graveyard and burn you 500 LP.”
Hiss!
Melonica LP: 2500 -> 2000
“You can continue your operation.” Luo Bai said calmly.
It’s her freaking turn!
“This is just too much!”
“Why is this Evil God Cultist moving around during my turn?”
After a quick operation, there were two more monsters on Luo Bai’s field, Diplos and Rexterm.
He halved his LP three times as activation costs.
LP: 4000 -> 2000 -> 1000 -> 500
Melonica watched the life points fluctuate on the playmat display screen, as if witnessing something unprecedented, and couldn’t recover for a long time.
I burn my LP by 500s, but you go and burn it by halves?
“Then, I activate Grace’s effect…”
“Sorry.” Just as Melonica was about to speak, Luo Bai raised his hand to stop her, “When Rexterm is on the field, you can’t activate effects of monsters on your field whose ATK is higher than my LP.”
“My LP is currently 500.
In other words, monsters with more than 500 ATK on your field can’t activate their effects.”
“What did you say!?” Melonica yelled, pointing at the <Dinomorphia Rexterm> and hesitantly spoke.
“That…
T- That must be a fake card.”
“Hehehe…” Luo Bai was amused by the expression on her face.
In a way, Rexterm’s effect did seem quite fake unlike its rather simple appearance.
“Here, why don’t you read its effects yourself.”
He handed over the card.
Unexpectedly, this small movement frightened Melonica up her seat, holding her chest and taking half a step back.
?
?
?
Her half-step back while covering her chest really made Luo Bai confused.
At that moment, she glanced at the thing in his hand again.
She seemed to be making sure what he’s holding are cheaply-distributed cards, not a blade for robbery or coins used for prostitution.
“Cough.”
She adjusted her skirt elegantly, forced out a smile, and suppressed her inner anxiety.
Her mind is still thinking wildly…
Anyhow, her Gozuki has 1700 ATK and Grace has 2000 ATK, both of which have ATK higher than Luo Bai’s LP, so all their effects are blocked.
How can she play like this?
It’s over, it’s over…
What could she do…
“That’s right!” Melonica suddenly realized that Rexterm only blocked monster effects on the field.
It doesn’t affect the monster effects activated in the graveyard.
“I activate the Continuous Spell Card: <Vampire Territory>!
I pay 500 LP; during this Main Phase, I can Normal Summon 1 “Vampire” monster in addition to my Normal Summon.”
“I activate the effect of <Vampire Retainer> from my graveyard, I send Vampire Territory on my field to the graveyard, and this card is Special Summoned from the graveyard.”
“It’s not over yet.
I’ll pay 800 LP to activate the Equip Spell Card: <Premature Burial> to resurrect <Vampire Familiar>.”
D*mn it, she’s using a ban card!
Luo Bai was startled in his heart.
He wanted to shout “Banned Dog” at her, but suddenly thinking about his <Tearlaments Kitkallos>, he politely held back.
LP: 2000 -> 1500 -> 700
In order to make her health reach the state where it’s a candle in the wind, she didn’t hesitate to use banned cards!
Biantana people, you insidious bunch!
“I offer my Familiar and my Retainer as sacrifices for a Tribute Summon!”
Meloncia shouted “Tribute Summon” very excitedly and with great momentum.
“Come out, my soul, <Vampire Vamp, 2000/2000>!”
“However, Vamp’s effect is also blocked by my Rexterm.” Luo Bai’s face was expressionless, and his heart was completely calm.
Hearing his ruthless voice resounding, Melonica was speechless.
Yes, her Ace Monster may have been summoned, but it had no effect.
Melonica glanced around around in despair, when she suddenly noticed that there was an Attack-positioned <Dinomorphia Therizia, 1500/0> on Luo Bai’s field, and he only had 500 LP left.
Her face lit up with a big smile, and after squinting her eyes, she shook her head and slapped her thighs.
“Hahaha, you’ve been so careless!” Melonica opened her eyes and she smiled excitedly, “Your Therizia only has 1500 ATK, and you only have 500 LP.
My Field Spell: <Vampire Kingdom> gives 500 ATK to my monsters.
The ATK of three of my monsters on the field exceeds 2000.”
“As long as one of my three monster attacks, your LP will fall down to zero!”
“Battle Phase!”
“Vampire Vamp, attack Therizia!”
“I win!”
“Hahaha…”
Melonica stood up and raised her hands in the air to celebrate her victory in advance.
However, the AI referee that came with the smart duelmat never declared her victory.
“Bait successful…”
“Battle Calculation, I pay half of my LP to activate Rexterm’s other effect.” Luo Bai clicked on his Rexterm and said calmly, “Until the end of this turn, the ATK of all monsters on your field will be equal to my LP.
LP: 500 -> 250
