Early the next morning.

Shen Ran woke up feeling refreshed.

She instinctively glanced at the watch on her wrist.Full novel: Carrying a Space and Understanding Beast Speech! The Real Heiress Shocks the Family Compound — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Already eight o’clock?

Why hadn’t Qin Lie come to wake her?

She hurriedly got up and noticed that the cot under the window was gone.

Heading to the living room, she found the cot quietly placed in its usual spot—empty.

She checked the kitchen as well, but Qin Lie was nowhere in sight.

“Where did he go so early? Weren’t we supposed to go get the divorce?”

Shen Ran’s gaze swept the room and paused when it landed on the dining table.

A note lay there, Qin Lie’s handwriting unmistakable.

She picked it up. Written in large characters were a few words:

“I’ve been called out on an urgent mission. Divorce can wait until I return.”

Shen Ran: ……

Being a soldier sure isn’t easy. They could get summoned for a mission in the middle of the night.

She must have slept too soundly last night to hear any noise.

No matter—she could wait for him to return before finalizing the divorce. No rush.

Shen Ran entered her space to freshen up.

“Meow~”

[Ran Ran, you’re awake! Good morning~]

The little white cat came running, sitting at the bathroom doorway, waiting for her.

“Morning, Little White.”

Shen Ran’s voice carried a lazy, just-awake charm.

She crouched down, eye-level with the fluffy snowball.

The little creature immediately nudged her fingertips with its damp nose, looking obedient.

Shen Ran couldn’t resist stroking its head, fingers gently raking through the soft white fur.

Little White squinted its emerald-green eyes, tilting its chin up, purring contentedly.

Shen Ran smiled in satisfaction.

First thing in the morning, petting a fluffy cat—who could understand such bliss?

After pampering the little creature, Shen Ran got ready for breakfast.

“Owner, breakfast is ready. Please enjoy.”

A pink robot’s crisp mechanical voice rang out.

The table was already laden with a rich breakfast: egg crepes, meat buns, vegetable salad, and freshly squeezed juice.

Shen Ran had two all-purpose robots in her space.

One was pink, named Xiao Fen, tasked with cooking and cleaning in the villa.

The other was gray, named Xiao Hui.

She had Xiao Hui tending the crops.

Yes, really—farming.

Though her space had abundant resources, there would eventually come a day of scarcity.

Better to grow some crops herself, just in case.

The space had plenty of grain seeds, vegetables, and fruit seeds.

Shen Ran had allocated hundreds of acres behind the villa for Xiao Hui to work.

Every day, Xiao Hui toiled in the fields for 12 hours, then automatically returned to recharge for 12 hours.

Xiao Fen operated similarly—keeping the villa tidy, managing the storage, arranging supplies neatly for Shen Ran.

With these two robots, Shen Ran could truly enjoy a carefree life.

Snap her fingers, and whatever she wanted would be delivered.

The feeling was downright luxurious!

After eating, Shen Ran went to the villa gym to train.

Her figure was already perfect, but she was still too weak.

If danger ever came, she wouldn’t be able to defend herself.

In her previous life, to afford a two-bedroom apartment in the city, Shen Ran worked two jobs a day.

Daytime at the office, evenings at a gym as a boxing instructor.

Her days were a blur, spinning like a top, sleeping no more than five hours at night.

She suspected that even if fate hadn’t intervened, she might have died from overwork one day.

Now, in this era, she had ample time to rest and do what she liked.

She could train, watch movies, and enjoy life in her space.

Too bad she couldn’t stay idle forever—she had things to accomplish.

After half an hour of boxing, she was exhausted.

Even with gloves, her knuckles were swollen.

This body was delicate, with fair skin prone to bruises.

A little pressure left red and purple marks—untrained eyes might think she was harming herself.

But it didn’t hurt, and a bit of medicine would fix it.

Shen Ran showered, sprayed Yunnan Baiyao on her fingers, and changed into a bright yellow dress.

Being this beautiful, she of course had to look good.

She tied her hair into a high ponytail, exposing her smooth forehead.

In the mirror, her skin glowed, her almond eyes sparkling—like a youthful, radiant girl.

Who would have guessed she was 21 and already married?

“Ay, how am I just so pretty~”

Standing in front of the mirror, hands cupping her cheeks, she began her daily self-praise routine.

Little White meowed at her feet, thinking:

[Ran Ran is showing off again… but no one’s prettier than me! I’m the most beautiful!]

“Hm?” Shen Ran raised an eyebrow, glancing at him.

“Little White, are you complaining again? Fine, no little fish or beef snacks for you today!”

“Meow meow~”

[Nooo! Ran Ran, I was wrong! You’re the most beautiful! Fine, fine!]

The little fluffball’s paws clutched her pant legs, big round eyes spilling tears.

Shen Ran laughed at its pitiful look.

“All right, just teasing you. I’m heading out of the space—be good now.”

[Okay! I promise to behave!]

Little White stood, paws pressed together, giving a little bow to Shen Ran.

She patted its head and left the space.

There were many things to do today—she couldn’t stay inside forever.

Inside the room, Shen Ran rolled up her sleeves and started tidying.

She decided to gather all her personal belongings into one place, so after the divorce she could take them easily.

She worked quickly.

In less than half an hour, everything was consolidated into a large wooden chest, tucked in a corner.

Glancing at the time, it was nearly 10 a.m.

The military housing had two supply trips to town each morning—one at six, one at ten.

She had missed the early one, but this ten o’clock trip was perfect.

Looking around the tidy house, she found no cleaning was necessary.

Locking the gate, she headed to the pickup spot.

“Shen Mei, wait!”

A warm voice called from behind.

She turned to see neighbor Mrs. Yang—the same woman who invited Qin Lie over for dinner last night.

Her husband, Captain Zhang, was Qin Lie’s peer, though older and already promoted.

The original Shen Ran had looked down on Qin Lie, avoiding interaction with neighbors.

She never greeted anyone, eyes always raised in disdain.

Behind the scenes, the neighbors had complained about her countless times, sympathizing with Qin Lie for marrying such a troublemaker.

Mrs. Yang, however, was one of the few who never gossiped.

“Good morning, Mrs. Yang,” Shen Ran greeted with a smile.
