Everyone knows about this morning’s mix-up—it was Wendy Aldridge who didn’t show up, not Renee Morgan who quit recording.
Because of all this, one major platform made a huge joke out of it, the show crew raked in tons of views, and Renee Morgan became the most talked-about celebrity right now.
Given this response, and now that people know Wendy Aldridge ended up in the hospital because she wasn’t feeling well, of course no one’s blaming her—instead, they feel for her and sympathize.
Plus, in the livestream, lots of viewers saw the show crew go pick up Wendy Aldridge from the hospital, watched her rip out the IV and insist on joining the program anyway.
[How can I deal, I love girls like Wendy Aldridge—soft, gentle, great temperament, but damn, so kind and stubborn.]
[Yeah, totally, Renee Morgan’s visuals are next-level, but I really like Wendy Aldridge’s "little white flower" vibe too.]
[Looks like Renee Morgan’s beauty is universally recognized—Wendy can’t compete, but "little white flower" style might be her way forward.]
[...]
Wendy Aldridge glanced around at all the concerned and pitying faces and knew she’d nailed the emotional vibe—the show’s reputation in the livestream must’ve flipped back by now, right?
Someone in the directing crew noticed Wendy’s questioning look and subtly nodded, giving her a thumbs up.
Wendy Aldridge curled her lips in a silent smile. As soon as she realized she’d accidentally come into contact with that medication this morning, she immediately went to the hospital.
By the time she figured out the situation had gone south and wanted them to take her off the trending list, it was already too late. Not only did Renee Morgan turn the tables in this mess, she sparked nationwide attention—her hype even beat top A-listers.
Wendy felt frustrated, but knew she couldn’t waste time. Otherwise, forget catching up with Renee Morgan’s popularity—if she followed doctor’s orders and returned to the show later, she’d end up as some totally irrelevant side character.
After greeting everybody, Wendy didn’t wait for concern. She walked straight up to the instructor, snapped a perfect salute, and called out loudly, "Hello, Instructor, I’m Wendy Aldridge. Wendy Aldridge requests rejoining the team!"
At that moment, not just the people around—viewers watching through the screen could totally tell that Wendy was dying to perform.
[This girl really won’t accept defeat.]
[So eager to show off and grab attention? The show hasn’t even started and she’s already talking about ’requesting rejoining’—feels kinda weird...]
[Wendy Aldridge’s got a ’little white flower’ face, but who knew she’d look so fierce in military posture. Love it, love it.]
The instructor asked if she could physically handle the training. If not, she should drop out early—because once at the base, nobody gets to drop out halfway.
Instructor: "I think your contracts are written out clearly—you should know exactly what we’re going to do, and what kind of training you’ll be subjected to."
Bottom line, once you’re at the base: no matter how hard or exhausting, you tough it out and obey orders.
It’s not too late to back out now.
"..." The contract’s already signed—it’s too late anyway.
When everyone learned they’d be flying there on a chartered plane, nobody could hold in their amazement anymore.
This treatment... is this what ordinary folks, showbiz newbies, and washed-up actors and actresses are supposed to get?
Renee Morgan was first to board and took a seat up front. Wendy took the seat next to her, turned, and gave a slight smile: "Renee, you’re super hot online right now."
Renee Morgan didn’t think there’d be much hype for a newcomer before the show even officially started: "Really? Thanks."
Wendy Aldridge got a little jealous seeing Renee so calm about all the attention. She glanced at Renee’s flawless face and elegant neck, then asked, "Does your skin still itch? You look totally fine—I guess the ointment is working?"
Renee Morgan knew Wendy was just fishing to see if she had skin allergies.
She turned and sized Wendy up carefully.
Wendy Aldridge wore a black-and-white sports outfit, had cooling sleeves on her arms, her exposed neck faintly showed some red spots, and her face was covered in heavy ’innocent’ makeup—couldn’t see much else.
Renee’s eyes locked on the red spots on Wendy’s neck, but she ignored Wendy’s question and instead asked with concern, "Why did you suddenly get an allergy? Looks pretty serious—are those red dots everywhere? Do you have any on your face?"
Wendy Aldridge: "..."
Wendy clenched her jaw in secret, pinching her palm. When she noticed the camera pointed at them, her eyes reddened instantly, and she started sobbing.
On the livestream, the effect was that the tall, intimidating Renee Morgan had bullied the fragile ’little white flower’ Wendy Aldridge into crying.
[What did Renee Morgan say—why is Wendy Aldridge crying? Anybody good at lip-reading?]
[Seems like Renee asked Wendy why she suddenly got allergies, and if those red spots are all over her body. Looks like Wendy’s allergies are pretty serious.]
[Renee Morgan, seriously? Saying stuff like this right now—does she have to poke at someone so hard? Everyone knows girls care about their looks.]
[Maybe everyone’s being too harsh—Renee was just showing concern for her teammate, and it’s totally normal for Wendy to lose control and cry with such serious allergy issues. Don’t always make it more than it is.]
[...]
Renee Morgan watched the silently crying, rain-soaked Wendy Aldridge, stayed calm and whipped out a tissue, infinitely gentle as she tried to wipe her tears: "Why are you crying? You’re too grown for this. Come on, don’t cry..."
Honestly, the one handing out tissues isn’t as exhausted as the one crying.
Wendy Aldridge is good at crying, but Renee can handle soothing her—so what’s the harm?
"..."
The dramatic goddess suddenly leaned down to wipe the ’little white flower’s’ tears. The crowd that was cursing out Renee instantly went silent, and everyone started praising her warmth:
[Ugh, I wanna cry too. Sis, can you comfort me?]
[...]
"..." Wendy looked at that insanely gorgeous face just inches away, wishing she could snatch the tissue and slap it onto Renee’s face.
Renee Morgan gently (half-heartedly) wiped a few tears, balled up the tissue and tossed it into the trash bag, leaning back and closing her eyes.
Wendy Aldridge felt "humiliated," had cried for nothing, and was super frustrated—but she didn’t dare make a bigger scene.
She felt confused—Renee used those two towels and borrowed her pajamas, so why is Renee totally fine?
Even if Renee didn’t wear the borrowed pajamas, those two towels she must’ve used. How come she only had a mild reaction?
Thinking about all the crap she went through today, Wendy grew even more jealous of Renee. Why is it that with all her effort, spending money and pulling strings (buying trending topics and setting up the allergy), she ended up making Renee blow up in popularity, while she got nothing—and nearly missed the show herself because of allergies?
She refused to accept this.
Renee Morgan took a nap, and just woke up as the plane landed—so the flight wasn’t that long.
After getting off, Jean Van Doren noticed there were quite a few foreigners around and raised his brows—turns out this secret base is abroad? So it’s not a military training camp, then.
